ਮੋਹਨ ਲਾਲ ਅਨੂਪ ਸਰਬ ਸਾਧਾਰੀਆ ॥

Mohan laal anoop sarab saaḋʰaaree▫aa.

The Fascinating and Beauteous Beloved is the Giver of support to all.

ਗੁਰ ਨਿਵਿ ਨਿਵਿ ਲਾਗਉ ਪਾਇ ਦੇਹੁ ਦਿਖਾਰੀਆ ॥੩॥

Gur niv niv laaga▫o paa▫é ḋéh ḋikʰaaree▫aa. ||3||

I bow low and fall at the Feet of the Guru; if only I could see the Lord! ||3||

ਮੈ ਕੀਏ ਮਿਤ੍ਰ ਅਨੇਕ ਇਕਸੁ ਬਲਿਹਾਰੀਆ ॥

Mæ kee▫é miṫar anék ikas balihaaree▫aa.

I have made many friends, but I am a sacrifice to the One alone.

ਸਭ ਗੁਣ ਕਿਸ ਹੀ ਨਾਹਿ ਹਰਿ ਪੂਰ ਭੰਡਾਰੀਆ ॥੪॥

Sabʰ guṇ kis hee naahi har poor bʰandaaree▫aa. ||4||

No one has all virtues; the Lord alone is filled to overflowing with them. ||4||

ਚਹੁ ਦਿਸਿ ਜਪੀਐ ਨਾਉ ਸੂਖਿ ਸਵਾਰੀਆ ॥

Chahu ḋis japee▫æ naa▫o sookʰ savaaree▫aa.

His Name is chanted in the four directions; those who chant it are embellished with peace.

ਮੈ ਆਹੀ ਓੜਿ ਤੁਹਾਰਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਬਲਿਹਾਰੀਆ ॥੫॥

Mæ aahee oṛ ṫuhaar Naanak balihaaree▫aa. ||5||

I seek Your Protection; Nanak is a sacrifice to You. ||5||

ਗੁਰਿ ਕਾਢਿਓ ਭੁਜਾ ਪਸਾਰਿ ਮੋਹ ਕੂਪਾਰੀਆ ॥

Gur kaadʰi▫o bʰujaa pasaar moh koopaaree▫aa.

The Guru reached out to me, and gave me His Arm; He lifted me up, out of the pit of emotional attachment.

ਮੈ ਜੀਤਿਓ ਜਨਮੁ ਅਪਾਰੁ ਬਹੁਰਿ ਨ ਹਾਰੀਆ ॥੬॥

Mæ jeeṫi▫o janam apaar bahur na haaree▫aa. ||6||

I have won the incomparable life, and I shall not lose it again. ||6||

ਮੈ ਪਾਇਓ ਸਰਬ ਨਿਧਾਨੁ ਅਕਥੁ ਕਥਾਰੀਆ ॥

Mæ paa▫i▫o sarab niḋʰaan akaṫʰ kaṫʰaaree▫aa.

I have obtained the treasure of all; His Speech is unspoken and subtle.

ਹਰਿ ਦਰਗਹ ਸੋਭਾਵੰਤ ਬਾਹ ਲੁਡਾਰੀਆ ॥੭॥

Har ḋargėh sobʰaavanṫ baah ludaaree▫aa. ||7||

In the Court of the Lord, I am honored and glorified; I swing my arms in joy. ||7||

ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਲਧਾ ਰਤਨੁ ਅਮੋਲੁ ਅਪਾਰੀਆ ॥

Jan Naanak laḋʰaa raṫan amol aapaaree▫aa.

Servant Nanak has received the invaluable and incomparable jewel.

ਗੁਰ ਸੇਵਾ ਭਉਜਲੁ ਤਰੀਐ ਕਹਉ ਪੁਕਾਰੀਆ ॥੮॥੧੨॥

Gur sévaa bʰa▫ojal ṫaree▫æ kaha▫o pukaaree▫aa. ||8||12||

Serving the Guru, I cross over the terrifying world-ocean; I proclaim this loudly to all. ||8||12||

Gauree, Fifth Mehl:

ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥

Ik▫oaⁿkaar saṫgur parsaaḋ.

One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru:

ਨਾਰਾਇਣ ਹਰਿ ਰੰਗ ਰੰਗੋ ॥

Naaraa▫iṇ har rang rango.

Dye yourself in the color of the Lord’s Love.

ਜਪਿ ਜਿਹਵਾ ਹਰਿ ਏਕ ਮੰਗੋ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

Jap jihvaa har ék mango. ||1|| rahaa▫o.

Chant the Name of the One Lord with your tongue, and ask for Him alone. ||1||Pause||

ਤਜਿ ਹਉਮੈ ਗੁਰ ਗਿਆਨ ਭਜੋ ॥

Ṫaj ha▫umæ gur gi▫aan bʰajo.

Renounce your ego, and dwell upon the spiritual wisdom of the Guru.

ਮਿਲਿ ਸੰਗਤਿ ਧੁਰਿ ਕਰਮ ਲਿਖਿਓ ॥੧॥

Mil sangaṫ ḋʰur karam likʰi▫o. ||1||

Those who have such preordained destiny, join the Sangat, the Holy Congregation. ||1||

ਜੋ ਦੀਸੈ ਸੋ ਸੰਗਿ ਨ ਗਇਓ ॥

Jo ḋeesæ so sang na ga▫i▫o.

Whatever you see, shall not go with you.

ਸਾਕਤੁ ਮੂੜੁ ਲਗੇ ਪਚਿ ਮੁਇਓ ॥੨॥

Saakaṫ mooṛ lagé pach mu▫i▫o. ||2||

The foolish, faithless cynics are attached - they waste away and die. ||2||

ਮੋਹਨ ਨਾਮੁ ਸਦਾ ਰਵਿ ਰਹਿਓ ॥

Mohan naam saḋaa rav rahi▫o.

The Name of the Fascinating Lord is all-pervading forever.

ਕੋਟਿ ਮਧੇ ਕਿਨੈ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਲਹਿਓ ॥੩॥

Kot maḋʰé kinæ gurmukʰ lahi▫o. ||3||

Among millions, how rare is that Gurmukh who attains the Name. ||3||

ਹਰਿ ਸੰਤਨ ਕਰਿ ਨਮੋ ਨਮੋ ॥

Har sanṫan kar namo namo.

Greet the Lord’s Saints humbly, with deep respect.

ਨਉ ਨਿਧਿ ਪਾਵਹਿ ਅਤੁਲੁ ਸੁਖੋ ॥੪॥

Na▫o niḋʰ paavahi aṫul sukʰo. ||4||

You shall obtain the nine treasures, and receive infinite peace. ||4||

ਨੈਨ ਅਲੋਵਉ ਸਾਧ ਜਨੋ ॥

Næn alova▫o saaḋʰ jano.

With your eyes, behold the holy people;

ਹਿਰਦੈ ਗਾਵਹੁ ਨਾਮ ਨਿਧੋ ॥੫॥

Hirḋæ gaavhu naam niḋʰo. ||5||

in your heart, sing the treasure of the Naam. ||5||

ਕਾਮ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਲੋਭੁ ਮੋਹੁ ਤਜੋ ॥

Kaam kroḋʰ lobʰ moh ṫajo.

Abandon sexual desire, anger, greed and emotional attachment.

ਜਨਮ ਮਰਨ ਦੁਹੁ ਤੇ ਰਹਿਓ ॥੬॥

Janam maran ḋuhu ṫé rahi▫o. ||6||

Thus, you shall be rid of both birth and death. ||6||

ਦੂਖੁ ਅੰਧੇਰਾ ਘਰ ਤੇ ਮਿਟਿਓ ॥

Ḋookʰ anḋʰéraa gʰar ṫé miti▫o.

Pain and darkness shall depart from your home,

ਗੁਰਿ ਗਿਆਨੁ ਦ੍ਰਿੜਾਇਓ ਦੀਪ ਬਲਿਓ ॥੭॥

Gur gi▫aan ḋariṛaa▫i▫o ḋeep bali▫o. ||7||

when the Guru implants spiritual wisdom within you, and lights that lamp. ||7||

ਜਿਨਿ ਸੇਵਿਆ ਸੋ ਪਾਰਿ ਪਰਿਓ ॥

Jin sévi▫aa so paar pari▫o.

One who serves the Lord crosses over to the other side.

ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਜਗਤੁ ਤਰਿਓ ॥੮॥੧॥੧੩॥

Jan Naanak gurmukʰ jagaṫ ṫari▫o. ||8||1||13||

O servant Nanak! The Gurmukh saves the world. ||8||1||13||

ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ਗਉੜੀ ॥

Mėhlaa 5 ga▫oṛee.

Fifth Mehl, Gauree:

ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਰੁ ਗੁਰੁ ਕਰਤ ਭਰਮ ਗਏ ॥

Har har gur gur karaṫ bʰaram ga▫é.

Dwelling upon the Lord, Har, Har, and the Guru, the Guru, my doubts have been dispelled.

ਮੇਰੈ ਮਨਿ ਸਭਿ ਸੁਖ ਪਾਇਓ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

Méræ man sabʰ sukʰ paa▫i▫o. ||1|| rahaa▫o.

My mind has obtained all comforts. ||1||Pause||

ਬਲਤੋ ਜਲਤੋ ਤਉਕਿਆ ਗੁਰ ਚੰਦਨੁ ਸੀਤਲਾਇਓ ॥੧॥

Balṫo jalṫo ṫa▫uki▫aa gur chanḋan seeṫlaa▫i▫o. ||1||

I was burning, on fire, and the Guru poured water on me; He is cooling and soothing, like the sandalwood tree. ||1||

ਅਗਿਆਨ ਅੰਧੇਰਾ ਮਿਟਿ ਗਇਆ ਗੁਰ ਗਿਆਨੁ ਦੀਪਾਇਓ ॥੨॥

Agi▫aan anḋʰéraa mit ga▫i▫aa gur gi▫aan ḋeepaa▫i▫o. ||2||

The darkness of ignorance has been dispelled; the Guru has lit the lamp of spiritual wisdom. ||2||

ਪਾਵਕੁ ਸਾਗਰੁ ਗਹਰੋ ਚਰਿ ਸੰਤਨ ਨਾਵ ਤਰਾਇਓ ॥੩॥

Paavak saagar gahro char sanṫan naav ṫaraa▫i▫o. ||3||

The ocean of fire is so deep; the Saints have crossed over, in the boat of the Lord’s Name. ||3||

ਨਾ ਹਮ ਕਰਮ ਨ ਧਰਮ ਸੁਚ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਗਹਿ ਭੁਜਾ ਆਪਾਇਓ ॥੪॥

Naa ham karam na ḋʰaram such parabʰ gėh bʰujaa aapaa▫i▫o. ||4||

I have no good karma; I have no Dharmic faith or purity. But God has taken me by the arm, and made me His own. ||4||

ਭਉ ਖੰਡਨੁ ਦੁਖ ਭੰਜਨੋ ਭਗਤਿ ਵਛਲ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਇਓ ॥੫॥

Bʰa▫o kʰandan ḋukʰ bʰanjno bʰagaṫ vachʰal har naa▫i▫o. ||5||

The Destroyer of fear, the Dispeller of pain, the Lover of His Saints - these are the Names of the Lord. ||5||

ਅਨਾਥਹ ਨਾਥ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲ ਦੀਨ ਸੰਮ੍ਰਿਥ ਸੰਤ ਓਟਾਇਓ ॥੬॥

Anaaṫʰah naaṫʰ kirpaal ḋeen sammriṫʰ sanṫ otaa▫i▫o. ||6||

He is the Master of the masterless, Merciful to the meek, All-powerful, the Support of His Saints. ||6||

ਨਿਰਗੁਨੀਆਰੇ ਕੀ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਦੇਹੁ ਦਰਸੁ ਹਰਿ ਰਾਇਓ ॥੭॥

Nirgunee▫aaré kee bénṫee ḋéh ḋaras har raa▫i▫o. ||7||

I am worthless - I offer this prayer, O my Lord King: “Please, grant me the Blessed Vision of Your Darshan.” ||7||

ਨਾਨਕ ਸਰਨਿ ਤੁਹਾਰੀ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਸੇਵਕੁ ਦੁਆਰੈ ਆਇਓ ॥੮॥੨॥੧੪॥

Naanak saran ṫuhaaree tʰaakur sévak ḋu▫aaræ aa▫i▫o. ||8||2||14||

Nanak has come to Your Sanctuary, O my Lord and Master; Your servant has come to Your Door. ||8||2||14||
