Agi-aanee. 1. ਗਿਆਨ ਵਿਹੂਣਾ, ਬੇਸਮਝ। 2. ਅਚਾਨਕ, ਗਿਆਨ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾ, ਅਚਨਚੇਤ (ਇਹ ਅਰਥ ਕੇਵਲ ‘ਮਹਾਨ ਕੋਸ਼’ ਦੇ ਹਨ ਬਾਕੀ ਵਿਦਵਾਨ ਇਸ ਦੇ ਅਰਥ ‘ਹੇ ਅਗਿਆਨੀ’ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ)। 1. ignorant. 2. suddenly, ignorantly.
ਉਦਾਹਰਨਾ:
1. ਅਗਿਆਨੀ ਅੰਧਾ ਮਗੁ ਨ ਜਾਣੈ ਫਿਰਿ ਫਿਰਿ ਆਵਣ ਜਾਵਣਿਆ ॥ Raga Maajh 3, Asatpadee 2, 5:3 (P: 110).
2. ਬਿਨਸੈ ਕਾਚੀ ਦੇਹ ਅਗਿਆਨੀ ॥ Raga Sorath 5, 22, 1:2 (P: 615).
