[آسمان] ਆਸਮਾਨ. ਨਾਮ/n. ਆਕਾਸ਼. ਆਸ (ਚੱਕੀ) ਮਾਨ (ਮਾਨਿੰਦ). ਜੋ ਚੱਕੀ ਦੀ ਤਰਾਂ ਫਿਰਦਾ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ. “ਅਸਮਾਨ ਜਿਮੀ ਦਰਖਤ.” (ਤਿਲੰ ਮਃ ੫) 2. ਸੰ. ਅ-ਸਮਾਨ. ਜੋ ਬਰਾਬਰ ਨਹੀਂ. ਵੱਧ ਘੱਟ. ਉੱਚਾ ਨੀਵਾਂ। 3. ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਸਮਾਨ ਕੋਈ ਨਹੀਂ. ਅਦੁਤੀ. ਲਾਸਾਨੀ. “ਕਹਿ ਕਬੀਰ ਖੋਜਉ ਅਸਮਾਨ.” (ਗਉ) 4. ਨਾਮ/n. ਆਪਣੇ ਸਮਾਨ ਕਿਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਨਾ ਜਾਣਨਾ. ਅਭਿਮਾਨ. ਹੌਮੈ. ਅਸਮਾਨਤਾ. “ਹੰਸ ਹੇਤ ਆਸਾ ਅਸਮਾਨ.” (ਗਉ ਮਃ ੧) ਹਿੰਸਾ ਮੋਹ ਲੋਭ ਅਤੇ ਹੰਕਾਰ.
