ਉਦਾਹਰਨਾ:
1. ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਕੀਰਤਨ ਫਲੁ ਪਾਇਆ ॥ Raga Gaurhee 5, 155, 2:1 (P: 197).
2. ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਦੀਓ ਕੀਰਤਨ ਕਉ ਭਈ ਹਮਾਰੀ ਗਾਤਿ ॥ Raga Dhanaasaree 5, 41, 1:2 (P: 681).

ਸੰ. ਕੀਰਤਨ. ਨਾਮ/n. ਕਥਨ. ਵ੍ਯਾਖ੍ਯਾਨ। 2. ਗੁਰੁਮਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਾਗ ਸਹਿਤ ਕਰਤਾਰ ਦੇ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਉਣ ਦਾ ਨਾਉਂ ‘ਕੀਰਤਨ’ ਹੈ “ਕੀਰਤਨ ਨਾਮੁ ਸਿਮਰਤ ਰਹਉ.” (ਬਿਲਾ ਮਃ ੫) 3. ਕੀਰਤਨ ਸੋਹਿਲੇ (ਆਰਤੀ ਸੋਹਿਲੇ) ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਭੀ ਕੀਰਤਨ ਆਇਆ ਹੈ, ਯਥਾ- “ਕੀਰਤਨ ਪੜ੍ਹੇ ਬਿਨਾ ਜੋ ਸੋਵੈ.” (ਤਨਾਮਾ). Footnotes:
