(ਖੇਵਟ) ਸੰ. कैवर्त्त- ਕੈਵਰਤ. ਨਾਮ/n. ਮਲਾਹ. ਨੌਕਾ ਚਲਾਉਣ ਵਾਲਾ. “ਗੁਰ ਖੇਵਟ ਸਬਦਿ ਤਰਾਇਆ.” (ਬਿਹਾ ਛੰਤ ਮਃ ੪) “ਵੰਝੀ ਹਾਥਿ ਨ ਖੇਵਟੂ ਜਲੁ ਸਾਗਰੁ ਅਸਰਾਲੁ.” (ਮਾਰੂ ਅ: ਮਃ ੧) 2. ਵਿ. ਕ੍ਸ਼ੇਪਕ. ਫੈਂਕਣ ਵਾਲਾ. “ਅੰਕਸੁ ਗ੍ਯਾਨ ਰਤੰਨੁ ਹੈ ਖੇਵਟੁ ਵਿਰਲਾ ਸੰਤ.” (ਸ. ਕਬੀਰ) ਹਾਥੀ ਪੁਰ ਅੰਕੁਸ਼ ਚਲਾਉਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਕੋਈ ਵਿਰਲਾ ਸੰਤ ਹੈ. Footnotes:
