Ḋuṫar. 1. ਔਖਿਆਂ, ਤਰਿਆ ਜਾਣ ਵਾਲਾ। 2. ਔਖਿਆਂ ਤਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ। 1. difficult to cross. 2. one who can cross difficult waters.
ਉਦਾਹਰਨਾ:
1. ਦਾਰਨ ਦੁਖ ਦੁਤਰ ਸੰਸਾਰੁ ॥ Raga Gaurhee 5, 166, 3:1 (P: 199).
2. ਘਰਿ ਆਉ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਦੁਤਰ ਤਾਰੇ ਤੁਧੁ ਬਿਨੁ ਅਢੁ ਨ ਮੋਲੋ ॥ Raga Tukhaaree 1, Baarah Maahaa, 6:3 (P: 1108).

(ਦੁਤਰੁ) ਸੰ. ਦੁਸ੍ਤਰ. ਵਿ. ਜਿਸ ਤੋਂ ਤਰਕੇ ਪਾਰ ਹੋਣਾ ਔਖਾ ਹੋਵੇ. “ਕਿਉਕਰਿ ਦੁਤਰੁ ਤਰਿਆਜਾਇ?” (ਗਉ ਮਃ ੩) “ਜਾਕੈ ਰਾਮ ਵਸੈ ਮਨ ਮਾਹੀ। ਸੋ ਜਨ ਦੁਤਰੁ ਪੇਖਤ ਨਾਹੀ.” (ਰਾਮ ਮਃ ੫) 2. ਸੰ. ਦੁਰੁੱਤਰ. ਨਾਮ/n. ਬੇਅਦਬੀ ਦਾ ਜਵਾਬ. ਗੁਸਤਾਖ਼ਾਨਾ ਉੱਤਰ. “ਕਿਨੈ ਨ ਦੁਤਰੁ ਭਾਖੇ.” (ਧਨਾ ਮਃ ੫) 3. ਜਿਸ ਸਵਾਲ ਦਾ ਜਵਾਬ ਔਖਾ ਹੋਵੇ. Footnotes:
