ਸੰ. विहारिन्- ਵਿਹਾਰੀ. ਵਿ. ਵਿਚਰਣ ਵਾਲਾ। 2. ਵੇੜੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਿਚਰਕੇ ਆਨੰਦ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ. ਬਾਲਕ. “ਸੀਤਲਾ ਤੇ ਰਖਿਆ ਬਿਹਾਰੀ.” (ਗਉ ਮਃ ੫) ਭਾਵ- ਗੁਰੂ ਹਰਿਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਜੀ ਤੋਂ ਹੈ। 3. ਵ੍ਯਵਹਾਰ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਾ, ਵਪਾਰੀ।
4. ਮਾਥੁਰ ਚੌਬਾ ਬ੍ਰਾਹਮਣ ਹਿੰਦੀ ਭਾਸ਼ਾ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਪ੍ਰਸਿੱਧ ਕਵਿ, ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਜਨਮ ਗ੍ਵਾਲੀਅਰ ਪਾਸ ਬਸੁਵਾ ਗੋਬਿੰਦਪੁਰ ਪਿੰਡ ਸੰਮਤ ੧੬੬੦ ਦੇ ਕਰੀਬ, ਅਤੇ ਦੇਹਾਂਤ ਸੰਮਤ ੧੭੨੦ ਦੇ ਲਗਭਗ ਹੋਇਆ. ਇਸ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਾਦੀ ਮਥੁਰਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਈ ਸੀ. ਬਿਹਾਰੀ ਦੀ ਦੋਹਾ ਸਤਸਈ ਮਨੋਹਰ ਰਚਨਾ ਹੈ, ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਕਵਿ ਸਮਾਜ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਡਾ ਮਾਨ ਹੈ.{1518} ਇਸ ਸਤਸਈ ਦੇ ਗਦ੍ਯ ਗਦ੍ਯ ਅਨੇਕ ਟੀਕੇ ਲਿਖੇ ਗਏ ਹਨ. ਬਿਹਾਰੀ, ਮਹਾਰਾਜਾ ਜਯ ਸਿੰਘ ਮਿਰਜਾ ਅੰਬਰਪਤਿ ਦੇ ਦਰਬਾਰ ਦਾ ਭੂਸ਼ਣ ਸੀ। 5. ਪੰਜਾਬੀ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਪ੍ਰਾਚੀਨ ਕਵੀ।
