Biᴺḋraaban. ਮਥੁਰਾ ਨਿਕਟ ਜਮਨਾ ਨਦੀ ਦੇ ਕੰਢੇ ਦਾ ਇਕ ਬਨ (ਜੰਗਲ) ਜੋ ਕਿਦਾਰਾ ਰਿਸ਼ੀ ਦੀ ਪੂਤਰੀ ‘ਵ੍ਰਿੰਦਾ’ ਦਾ ਤਪੋਸਥਾਨ ਮੰਨਿਆ ਜਾਂਦਾ ਹੈ। a forest near Mathura on the bank of Jamuna river where forest resort of ‘Vrindra’ - the daughter of Kidara Rishi is located.

ਸੰ. वृन्दावन- ਵ੍ਰਿੰਦਾਵਨ. ਮਥੁਰਾ ਦੇ ਜਿਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਮੁਨਾ ਨਦੀ ਦੇ ਕਿਨਾਰੇ ਇੱਕ ਜੰਗਲ, ਜੋ ਕੇਦਾਰ ਦੀ ਪੁਤਰੀ ਵਿੰਦ੍ਰਾ ਦਾ ਤਪ ਅਸਥਾਨ ਹੈ। 2. ਰਾਧਾ (ਰਾਧਿਕਾ) ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਭੀ ਵ੍ਰਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸ ਨੇ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਨ ਜੀ ਨਾਲ ਜਿਸ ਵਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਕ੍ਰੀੜਾ ਕੀਤੀ, ਉਹ ਵਨ. “ਬਿੰਦ੍ਰਾ ਬਨ ਮਹਿ ਰੰਗ ਕੀਆ.” (ਵਾਰ ਆਸਾ). Footnotes:
