ਨਾਮ/n. ਤੜਕਾ. ਭੋਰ. ਪ੍ਰਾਤਹਕਾਲ. ਸੁਬਹਿ। 2. ਕ੍ਰਿ. ਵਿ. ਪਹਿਲੇ. “ਹਿਰਦੈ ਰਾਮ ਕੀ ਨ ਜਪਹਿ ਸਵੇਰਾ?” (ਸੋਰ ਕਬੀਰ) ਮਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਰਾਮ ਕਿਉਂ ਨਾ ਜਪਹਿਂ। 3. ਛੇਤੀ. ਫੌਰਨ. “ਉਇ ਭੀ ਲਾਗੇ ਕਾਢ ਸਵੇਰਾ.” (ਸੂਹੀ ਰਵਿਦਾਸ) ਨਜ਼ਦੀਕੀ ਸੰਬੰਧੀ ਭੀ ਕਹਿਣ ਲੱਗੇ ਕਿ ਮੁਰਦੇ ਨੂੰ ਛੇਤੀ ਘਰੋਂ ਕੱਢੋ। 4. ਸੁਵੇਲਾ. ਚੰਗਾ ਸਮਾਂ. “ਜਨਮ ਕ੍ਰਿਤਾਰਥ ਸਫਲ ਸਵੇਰਾ.” (ਗਉ ਮਃ ੫).
