ਅ਼. [سِجدہ] ਨਾਮ/n. ਮੱਥਾ ਟੇਕਣਾ. ਨਮਸਕਾਰ, ਜੋ ਜਮੀਨ ਉੱਪਰ ਮਸਤਕ ਰੱਖਕੇ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਵੇ. “ਕਈ ਪਲਟ ਸੂਰ ਸਿਜਦਾ ਕਰਾਇ.” (ਅਕਾਲ) ਕਈ ਸੂਰਜ ਨਿਕਲਣ ਵਾਲੀ ਦਿਸ਼ਾ ਤੋਂ ਮੁਖ ਫੇਰਕੇ (ਪੱਛਮ ਵੱਲ) ਸਿਜਦਾ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ. ਇਸ ਦਾ ਉੱਚਾਰਣ ਸਜਦਾ ਭੀ ਸਹੀ ਹੈ. Footnotes:
