Surṫaa. 1. ਹੋਸ਼ਵਾਲਾ, ਸਮਝਦਾਰ। 2. ਸਰੋਤਾ, ਸੁਣਨ ਵਾਲਾ। 1. intelligent, sensible, man of wisdom. 2. listener, hearer.
ਉਦਾਹਰਨਾ:
1. ਸੋ ਸੁਰਤਾ ਸੋ ਬੈਸਨੋ ਸੋ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਧਨਵੰਤੁ ॥ (ਉਚੀ ਸੁਰਤ ਵਾਲਾ). Raga Gaurhee 5, Thitee, 17:5 (P: 300).
ਕਵਨ ਸੁ ਦਾਨਾ ਕਵਨੁ ਸੁ ਹੋਛਾ ਕਵਨੁ ਸੁ ਸੁਰਤਾ ਕਵਨੁ ਜੜਾ ॥ (ਚੇਤੰਨ, ਸੁਰਤੀਵਾਨ). Raga Maaroo 5, Solhaa, 10, 6:3 (P: 1081).
ਜਿਨਿ ਕੀਤਾ ਬੇਸੁਰਤ ਤੇ ਸੁਰਿਤਾ ॥ Raga Gaurhee 5, 75, 2:2 (P: 177).
2. ਆਪੇ ਸੁਰਤਾ ਆਪੇ ਜਾਨੁ ॥ Raga Bilaaval 1, 3, 1:2 (P: 795).
