ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੀਜੈ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਨਿਧਾਨ ਹਮ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਨ ਗਾਵਹਗੇ ॥
प्रभ कीजै क्रिपा निधान हम हरि गुन गावहगे ॥
Parabʰ keejæ kirpaa niḋʰaan ham har gun gaavhagé.
O God, Treasure of Mercy, please bless me, so that I may sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord.

ਹਉ ਤੁਮਰੀ ਕਰਉ ਨਿਤ ਆਸ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਮੋਹਿ ਕਬ ਗਲਿ ਲਾਵਹਿਗੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
हउ तुमरी करउ नित आस प्रभ मोहि कब गलि लावहिगे ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Ha▫o ṫumree kara▫o niṫ aas parabʰ mohi kab gal laavhigé. ||1|| rahaa▫o.
I always place my hopes in You; O God, when will you take me in Your Embrace? ||1||Pause||

ਹਮ ਬਾਰਿਕ ਮੁਗਧ ਇਆਨ ਪਿਤਾ ਸਮਝਾਵਹਿਗੇ ॥
हम बारिक मुगध इआन पिता समझावहिगे ॥
Ham baarik mugaḋʰ i▫aan piṫaa samjaavhigé.
I am a foolish and ignorant child; Father, please teach me!

ਸੁਤੁ ਖਿਨੁ ਖਿਨੁ ਭੂਲਿ ਬਿਗਾਰਿ ਜਗਤ ਪਿਤ ਭਾਵਹਿਗੇ ॥੧॥
सुतु खिनु खिनु भूलि बिगारि जगत पित भावहिगे ॥१॥
Suṫ kʰin kʰin bʰool bigaar jagaṫ piṫ bʰaavhigé. ||1||
Your child makes mistakes again and again, but still, You are pleased with him, O Father of the Universe. ||1||
|
ਜੋ ਹਰਿ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਤੁਮ ਦੇਹੁ ਸੋਈ ਹਮ ਪਾਵਹਗੇ ॥
जो हरि सुआमी तुम देहु सोई हम पावहगे ॥
Jo har su▫aamee ṫum ḋéh so▫ee ham paavhagé.
Whatever You give me, O my Lord and Master - that is what I receive.

ਮੋਹਿ ਦੂਜੀ ਨਾਹੀ ਠਉਰ ਜਿਸੁ ਪਹਿ ਹਮ ਜਾਵਹਗੇ ॥੨॥
मोहि दूजी नाही ठउर जिसु पहि हम जावहगे ॥२॥
Mohi ḋoojee naahee tʰa▫ur jis pėh ham jaavhagé. ||2||
There is no other place where I can go. ||2||
|
ਜੋ ਹਰਿ ਭਾਵਹਿ ਭਗਤ ਤਿਨਾ ਹਰਿ ਭਾਵਹਿਗੇ ॥
जो हरि भावहि भगत तिना हरि भावहिगे ॥
Jo har bʰaavėh bʰagaṫ ṫinaa har bʰaavhigé.
Those devotees who are pleasing to the Lord - the Lord is pleasing to them.

ਜੋਤੀ ਜੋਤਿ ਮਿਲਾਇ ਜੋਤਿ ਰਲਿ ਜਾਵਹਗੇ ॥੩॥
जोती जोति मिलाइ जोति रलि जावहगे ॥३॥
Joṫee joṫ milaa▫é joṫ ral jaavhagé. ||3||
Their light merges into the Light; the lights are merged and blended together. ||3||
|
ਹਰਿ ਆਪੇ ਹੋਇ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲੁ ਆਪਿ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਵਹਿਗੇ ॥
हरि आपे होइ क्रिपालु आपि लिव लावहिगे ॥
Har aapé ho▫é kirpaal aap liv laavhigé.
The Lord Himself has shown mercy; He lovingly attunes me to Himself.

ਜਨੁ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਸਰਨਿ ਦੁਆਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਲਾਜ ਰਖਾਵਹਿਗੇ ॥੪॥੬॥ ਛਕਾ ੧ ॥
जनु नानकु सरनि दुआरि हरि लाज रखावहिगे ॥४॥६॥ छका १ ॥
Jan Naanak saran ḋu▫aar har laaj rakʰaavhigé. ||4||6|| Chʰakaa 1.
Servant Nanak seeks the Sanctuary of the Door of the Lord, who protects his honor. ||4||6|| One Chhakaa||

ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਪਰਮੇਸੁਰੁ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦੂਖ ਨਿਵਾਰਣੁ ਨਾਰਾਇਣੇ ॥
पारब्रहमु परमेसुरु सुआमी दूख निवारणु नाराइणे ॥
Paarbarahm parmésur su▫aamee ḋookʰ nivaaraṇ naaraa▫iṇé.
O Supreme Lord God, Transcendent Lord and Master, Destroyer of pain, Transcendental Lord God.

ਸਗਲ ਭਗਤ ਜਾਚਹਿ ਸੁਖ ਸਾਗਰ ਭਵ ਨਿਧਿ ਤਰਣ ਹਰਿ ਚਿੰਤਾਮਣੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
सगल भगत जाचहि सुख सागर भव निधि तरण हरि चिंतामणे ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Sagal bʰagaṫ jaachėh sukʰ saagar bʰav niḋʰ ṫaraṇ har chinṫaamaṇé. ||1|| rahaa▫o.
All Your devotees beg of You. Ocean of peace, carry us across the terrifying world-ocean; You are the Wish-fulfilling Jewel. ||1||Pause||

ਦੀਨ ਦਇਆਲ ਜਗਦੀਸ ਦਮੋਦਰ ਹਰਿ ਅੰਤਰਜਾਮੀ ਗੋਬਿੰਦੇ ॥
दीन दइआल जगदीस दमोदर हरि अंतरजामी गोबिंदे ॥
Ḋeen ḋa▫i▫aal jagḋees ḋamoḋar har anṫarjaamee gobinḋé.
Merciful to the meek and poor, Lord of the world, Support of the earth, Inner-knower, Searcher of hearts, Lord of the Universe.

ਤੇ ਨਿਰਭਉ ਜਿਨ ਸ੍ਰੀਰਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਇਆ ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਮੁਰਾਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਮੁਕੰਦੇ ॥੧॥
ते निरभउ जिन स्रीरामु धिआइआ गुरमति मुरारि हरि मुकंदे ॥१॥
Ṫé nirbʰa▫o jin sareeraam ḋʰi▫aa▫i▫aa gurmaṫ muraar har mukanḋé. ||1||
Those who meditate on the Supreme Lord become fearless. Through the Wisdom of the Guru’s Teachings, they meditate on the Lord, the Liberator Lord. ||1||

ਜਗਦੀਸੁਰ ਚਰਨ ਸਰਨ ਜੋ ਆਏ ਤੇ ਜਨ ਭਵ ਨਿਧਿ ਪਾਰਿ ਪਰੇ ॥
जगदीसुर चरन सरन जो आए ते जन भव निधि पारि परे ॥
Jagḋeesur charan saran jo aa▫é ṫé jan bʰav niḋʰ paar paré.
Those who come to Sanctuary at the Feet of the Lord of the Universe - those humble beings cross over the terrifying world-ocean.

ਭਗਤ ਜਨਾ ਕੀ ਪੈਜ ਹਰਿ ਰਾਖੈ ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਆਪਿ ਹਰਿ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਕਰੇ ॥੨॥੧॥੭॥
भगत जना की पैज हरि राखै जन नानक आपि हरि क्रिपा करे ॥२॥१॥७॥
Bʰagaṫ janaa kee pæj har raakʰæ jan Naanak aap har kirpaa karé. ||2||1||7||
The Lord preserves the honor of His humble devotees; O servant Nanak! The Lord Himself showers them with His Grace. ||2||1||7||

ਹਮਾਰੈ ਏਹ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕੀਜੈ ॥
हमारै एह किरपा कीजै ॥
Hamaaræ éh kirpaa keejæ.
Please grant me this blessing:

ਅਲਿ ਮਕਰੰਦ ਚਰਨ ਕਮਲ ਸਿਉ ਮਨੁ ਫੇਰਿ ਫੇਰਿ ਰੀਝੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
अलि मकरंद चरन कमल सिउ मनु फेरि फेरि रीझै ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Al makranḋ charan kamal si▫o man fér fér reejʰæ. ||1|| rahaa▫o.
May the bumble-bee of my mind be immersed again and again in the Honey of Your Lotus Feet. ||1||Pause||

ਆਨ ਜਲਾ ਸਿਉ ਕਾਜੁ ਨ ਕਛੂਐ ਹਰਿ ਬੂੰਦ ਚਾਤ੍ਰਿਕ ਕਉ ਦੀਜੈ ॥੧॥
आन जला सिउ काजु न कछूऐ हरि बूंद चात्रिक कउ दीजै ॥१॥
Aan jalaa si▫o kaaj na kachʰoo▫æ har boonḋ chaaṫrik ka▫o ḋeejæ. ||1||
I am not concerned with any other water; please bless this songbird with a Drop of Your Water, Lord. ||1||

ਬਿਨੁ ਮਿਲਬੇ ਨਾਹੀ ਸੰਤੋਖਾ ਪੇਖਿ ਦਰਸਨੁ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਜੀਜੈ ॥੨॥੧॥
बिनु मिलबे नाही संतोखा पेखि दरसनु नानकु जीजै ॥२॥१॥
Bin milbé naahee sanṫokʰaa pékʰ ḋarsan Naanak jeejæ. ||2||1||
Unless I meet my Lord, I am not satisfied. Nanak lives, gazing upon the Blessed Vision of His Darshan. ||2||1||

ਜਾਚਿਕੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਾਚੈ ਜਾਚੈ ॥
जाचिकु नामु जाचै जाचै ॥
Jaachik naam jaachæ jaachæ.
This beggar begs and begs for Your Name, Lord.
|
ਸਰਬ ਧਾਰ ਸਰਬ ਕੇ ਨਾਇਕ ਸੁਖ ਸਮੂਹ ਕੇ ਦਾਤੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
सरब धार सरब के नाइक सुख समूह के दाते ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Sarab ḋʰaar sarab ké naa▫ik sukʰ samooh ké ḋaaṫé. ||1|| rahaa▫o.
You are the Support of all, the Master of all, the Giver of absolute peace. ||1||Pause||
|
ਕੇਤੀ ਕੇਤੀ ਮਾਂਗਨਿ ਮਾਗੈ ਭਾਵਨੀਆ ਸੋ ਪਾਈਐ ॥੧॥
केती केती मांगनि मागै भावनीआ सो पाईऐ ॥१॥
Kéṫee kéṫee maaⁿgan maagæ bʰaavnee▫aa so paa▫ee▫æ. ||1||
So, many, so very many, beg for charity at Your Door; they receive only what You are pleased to give. ||1||
|
ਸਫਲ ਸਫਲ ਸਫਲ ਦਰਸੁ ਰੇ ਪਰਸਿ ਪਰਸਿ ਗੁਨ ਗਾਈਐ ॥
सफल सफल सफल दरसु रे परसि परसि गुन गाईऐ ॥
Safal safal safal ḋaras ré paras paras gun gaa▫ee▫æ.
Fruitful, fruitful, fruitful is the Blessed Vision of His Darshan; touching His Touch, I sing His Glorious Praises.

ਨਾਨਕ ਤਤ ਤਤ ਸਿਉ ਮਿਲੀਐ ਹੀਰੈ ਹੀਰੁ ਬਿਧਾਈਐ ॥੨॥੨॥
नानक तत तत सिउ मिलीऐ हीरै हीरु बिधाईऐ ॥२॥२॥
Naanak ṫaṫ ṫaṫ si▫o milee▫æ heeræ heer biḋʰaa▫ee▫æ. ||2||2||
O Nanak! one’s essence is blended into the Essence; the diamond of the mind is pierced through by the Diamond of the Lord. ||2||2||
