ਸੰਤ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ਪਰਮ ਪਦੁ ਪਾਇਆ ॥੨॥
संत प्रसादि परम पदु पाइआ ॥२॥
Sanṫ parsaaḋ param paḋ paa▫i▫aa. ||2||
By the Grace of the Saints, I have obtained the supreme-status. ||2||
|
ਜਨ ਕੀ ਕੀਨੀ ਆਪਿ ਸਹਾਇ ॥
जन की कीनी आपि सहाइ ॥
Jan kee keenee aap sahaa▫é.
The Lord is the Help and Support of His humble servant.
|
ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਲਗਿ ਦਾਸਹ ਪਾਇ ॥
सुखु पाइआ लगि दासह पाइ ॥
Sukʰ paa▫i▫aa lag ḋaasah paa▫é.
I have found peace, falling at the feet of His slaves.
|
ਆਪੁ ਗਇਆ ਤਾ ਆਪਹਿ ਭਏ ॥
आपु गइआ ता आपहि भए ॥
Aap ga▫i▫aa ṫaa aapėh bʰa▫é.
When selfishness is gone, then one becomes the Lord Himself;
|
ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਨਿਧਾਨ ਕੀ ਸਰਨੀ ਪਏ ॥੩॥
क्रिपा निधान की सरनी पए ॥३॥
Kirpaa niḋʰaan kee sarnee pa▫é. ||3||
seek the Sanctuary of the treasure of mercy. ||3||
|
ਜੋ ਚਾਹਤ ਸੋਈ ਜਬ ਪਾਇਆ ॥
जो चाहत सोई जब पाइआ ॥
Jo chaahaṫ so▫ee jab paa▫i▫aa.
When someone finds the One he has desired,
|
ਤਬ ਢੂੰਢਨ ਕਹਾ ਕੋ ਜਾਇਆ ॥
तब ढूंढन कहा को जाइआ ॥
Ṫab dʰoodʰan kahaa ko jaa▫i▫aa.
then where should he go to look for Him?
|
ਅਸਥਿਰ ਭਏ ਬਸੇ ਸੁਖ ਆਸਨ ॥
असथिर भए बसे सुख आसन ॥
Asṫʰir bʰa▫é basé sukʰ aasan.
I have become steady and stable, and I dwell in the seat of peace.
|
ਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਸੁਖ ਬਾਸਨ ॥੪॥੧੧੦॥
गुर प्रसादि नानक सुख बासन ॥४॥११०॥
Gur parsaaḋ Naanak sukʰ baasan. ||4||110||
By Guru’s Grace, Nanak has entered the home of peace. ||4||110||

ਗਉੜੀ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥
गउड़ी महला ५ ॥
Ga▫oṛee mėhlaa 5.
Gauree, Fifth Mehl:

ਕੋਟਿ ਮਜਨ ਕੀਨੋ ਇਸਨਾਨ ॥
कोटि मजन कीनो इसनान ॥
Kot majan keeno isnaan.
The merits of taking millions of ceremonial cleansing baths,
|
ਲਾਖ ਅਰਬ ਖਰਬ ਦੀਨੋ ਦਾਨੁ ॥
लाख अरब खरब दीनो दानु ॥
Laakʰ arab kʰarab ḋeeno ḋaan.
the giving of hundreds of thousands, billions and trillions in charity -
|
ਜਾ ਮਨਿ ਵਸਿਓ ਹਰਿ ਕੋ ਨਾਮੁ ॥੧॥
जा मनि वसिओ हरि को नामु ॥१॥
Jaa man vasi▫o har ko naam. ||1||
these are obtained by those whose minds are filled with the Name of the Lord. ||1||
|
ਸਗਲ ਪਵਿਤ ਗੁਨ ਗਾਇ ਗੁਪਾਲ ॥
सगल पवित गुन गाइ गुपाल ॥
Sagal paviṫ gun gaa▫é gupaal.
Those who sing the Glories of the Lord of the World are totally pure.
|
ਪਾਪ ਮਿਟਹਿ ਸਾਧੂ ਸਰਨਿ ਦਇਆਲ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
पाप मिटहि साधू सरनि दइआल ॥ रहाउ ॥
Paap mitėh saaḋʰoo saran ḋa▫i▫aal. Rahaa▫o.
Their sins are erased, in the Sanctuary of the Kind and Holy Saints. ||Pause||

ਬਹੁਤੁ ਉਰਧ ਤਪ ਸਾਧਨ ਸਾਧੇ ॥
बहुतु उरध तप साधन साधे ॥
Bahuṫ uraḋʰ ṫap saaḋʰan saaḋʰé.
The merits of performing all sorts of austere acts of penance and self-discipline,
|
ਅਨਿਕ ਲਾਭ ਮਨੋਰਥ ਲਾਧੇ ॥
अनिक लाभ मनोरथ लाधे ॥
Anik laabʰ manoraṫʰ laaḋʰé.
earning huge profits and seeing one’s desires fulfilled -
|
ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮ ਰਸਨ ਆਰਾਧੇ ॥੨॥
हरि हरि नाम रसन आराधे ॥२॥
Har har naam rasan aaraaḋʰé. ||2||
these are obtained by chanting the Name of the Lord, Har, Har, with the tongue. ||2||
|
ਸਿੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਿ ਸਾਸਤ ਬੇਦ ਬਖਾਨੇ ॥
सिंम्रिति सासत बेद बखाने ॥
Simriṫ saasaṫ béḋ bakʰaané.
The merits of reciting the Smritis, the Shastras and the Vedas,
|
ਜੋਗ ਗਿਆਨ ਸਿਧ ਸੁਖ ਜਾਨੇ ॥
जोग गिआन सिध सुख जाने ॥
Jog gi▫aan siḋʰ sukʰ jaané.
knowledge of the science of Yoga, spiritual wisdom and the pleasure of miraculous spiritual powers -
|
ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪਤ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸਿਉ ਮਨ ਮਾਨੇ ॥੩॥
नामु जपत प्रभ सिउ मन माने ॥३॥
Naam japaṫ parabʰ si▫o man maané. ||3||
these come by surrendering the mind and meditating on the Name of God. ||3||
|
ਅਗਾਧਿ ਬੋਧਿ ਹਰਿ ਅਗਮ ਅਪਾਰੇ ॥
अगाधि बोधि हरि अगम अपारे ॥
Agaaḋʰ boḋʰ har agam apaaré.
The wisdom of the Inaccessible and Infinite Lord is incomprehensible.
|
ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪਤ ਨਾਮੁ ਰਿਦੇ ਬੀਚਾਰੇ ॥
नामु जपत नामु रिदे बीचारे ॥
Naam japaṫ naam riḋé beechaaré.
Meditating on the Naam, the Name of the Lord, and contemplating the Naam within our hearts,
|
ਨਾਨਕ ਕਉ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਧਾਰੇ ॥੪॥੧੧੧॥
नानक कउ प्रभ किरपा धारे ॥४॥१११॥
Naanak ka▫o parabʰ kirpaa ḋʰaaré. ||4||111||
O Nanak! God has showered His Mercy upon us. ||4||111||

Ga▫oṛee mėhlaa 5.
Gauree, Fifth Mehl:

ਸਿਮਰਿ ਸਿਮਰਿ ਸਿਮਰਿ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਇਆ ॥
सिमरि सिमरि सिमरि सुखु पाइआ ॥
Simar simar simar sukʰ paa▫i▫aa.
Meditating, meditating, meditating in remembrance, I have found peace.
|
ਚਰਨ ਕਮਲ ਗੁਰ ਰਿਦੈ ਬਸਾਇਆ ॥੧॥
चरन कमल गुर रिदै बसाइआ ॥१॥
Charan kamal gur riḋæ basaa▫i▫aa. ||1||
I have enshrined the Lotus Feet of the Guru within my heart. ||1||
|
ਗੁਰ ਗੋਬਿੰਦੁ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਪੂਰਾ ॥
गुर गोबिंदु पारब्रहमु पूरा ॥
Gur gobinḋ paarbarahm pooraa.
The Guru, the Lord of the Universe, the Supreme Lord God, is perfect.

ਤਿਸਹਿ ਅਰਾਧਿ ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨੁ ਧੀਰਾ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
तिसहि अराधि मेरा मनु धीरा ॥ रहाउ ॥
Ṫisėh araaḋʰ méraa man ḋʰeeraa. Rahaa▫o.
worshiping Him, my mind has found a lasting peace. ||Pause||
|
ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਜਪਉ ਗੁਰੂ ਗੁਰ ਨਾਮ ॥
अनदिनु जपउ गुरू गुर नाम ॥
An▫ḋin japa▫o guroo gur naam.
Night and day, I meditate on the Guru, and the Name of the Guru.
|
ਤਾ ਤੇ ਸਿਧਿ ਭਏ ਸਗਲ ਕਾਂਮ ॥੨॥
ता ते सिधि भए सगल कांम ॥२॥
Ṫaa ṫé siḋʰ bʰa▫é sagal kaaⁿm. ||2||
Thus, all my works are brought to perfection. ||2||
|
ਦਰਸਨ ਦੇਖਿ ਸੀਤਲ ਮਨ ਭਏ ॥
दरसन देखि सीतल मन भए ॥
Ḋarsan ḋékʰ seeṫal man bʰa▫é.
Beholding the Blessed Vision of His Darshan, my mind has become cool and tranquil,
|
ਜਨਮ ਜਨਮ ਕੇ ਕਿਲਬਿਖ ਗਏ ॥੩॥
जनम जनम के किलबिख गए ॥३॥
Janam janam ké kilbikʰ ga▫é. ||3||
and the sinful mistakes of countless incarnations have been washed away. ||3||
|
ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਕਹਾ ਭੈ ਭਾਈ ॥
कहु नानक कहा भै भाई ॥
Kaho Naanak kahaa bʰæ bʰaa▫ee.
Says Nanak, where is fear now, O Siblings of Destiny?
|
ਅਪਨੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਕੀ ਆਪਿ ਪੈਜ ਰਖਾਈ ॥੪॥੧੧੨॥
अपने सेवक की आपि पैज रखाई ॥४॥११२॥
Apné sévak kee aap pæj rakʰaa▫ee. ||4||112||
The Guru Himself has preserved the honor of His servant. ||4||112||
|
ਗਉੜੀ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥
गउड़ी महला ५ ॥
Ga▫oṛee mėhlaa 5.
Gauree, Fifth Mehl:

ਅਪਨੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਕਉ ਆਪਿ ਸਹਾਈ ॥
अपने सेवक कउ आपि सहाई ॥
Apné sévak ka▫o aap sahaa▫ee.
The Lord Himself is the Help and Support of His servants.
|
ਨਿਤ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਪਾਰੈ ਬਾਪ ਜੈਸੇ ਮਾਈ ॥੧॥
नित प्रतिपारै बाप जैसे माई ॥१॥
Niṫ parṫipaaræ baap jæsé maa▫ee. ||1||
He always cherishes them, like their father and mother. ||1||
|
ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੀ ਸਰਨਿ ਉਬਰੈ ਸਭ ਕੋਇ ॥
प्रभ की सरनि उबरै सभ कोइ ॥
Parabʰ kee saran ubræ sabʰ ko▫é.
In God’s Sanctuary, everyone is saved.
|
ਕਰਨ ਕਰਾਵਨ ਪੂਰਨ ਸਚੁ ਸੋਇ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
करन करावन पूरन सचु सोइ ॥ रहाउ ॥
Karan karaavan pooran sach so▫é. Rahaa▫o.
That Perfect True Lord is the Doer, the Cause of all causes. ||Pause||
|
ਅਬ ਮਨਿ ਬਸਿਆ ਕਰਨੈਹਾਰਾ ॥
अब मनि बसिआ करनैहारा ॥
Ab man basi▫aa karnæhaaraa.
My mind now dwells in the Creator Lord.
|
ਭੈ ਬਿਨਸੇ ਆਤਮ ਸੁਖ ਸਾਰਾ ॥੨॥
भै बिनसे आतम सुख सारा ॥२॥
Bʰæ binsé aaṫam sukʰ saaraa. ||2||
My fears have been dispelled, and my soul has found the most sublime peace. ||2||
|
ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਅਪਨੇ ਜਨ ਰਾਖੇ ॥
करि किरपा अपने जन राखे ॥
Kar kirpaa apné jan raakʰé.
The Lord has granted His Grace, and saved His humble servant.
|
ਜਨਮ ਜਨਮ ਕੇ ਕਿਲਬਿਖ ਲਾਥੇ ॥੩॥
जनम जनम के किलबिख लाथे ॥३॥
Janam janam ké kilbikʰ laaṫʰé. ||3||
The sinful mistakes of so many incarnations have been washed away. ||3||
|
ਕਹਨੁ ਨ ਜਾਇ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ॥
कहनु न जाइ प्रभ की वडिआई ॥
Kahan na jaa▫é parabʰ kee vadi▫aa▫ee.
The Greatness of God cannot be described.
|
ਨਾਨਕ ਦਾਸ ਸਦਾ ਸਰਨਾਈ ॥੪॥੧੧੩॥
नानक दास सदा सरनाई ॥४॥११३॥
Naanak ḋaas saḋaa sarnaa▫ee. ||4||113||
Servant Nanak is forever in His Sanctuary. ||4||113||

रागु गउड़ी चेती महला ५ दुपदे
Raag ga▫oṛee chéṫee mėhlaa 5 ḋupḋé
Raag Gauree Chaytee, Fifth Mehl, Du-Padas:

ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥
ੴ सतिगुर प्रसादि ॥
Ik▫oaⁿkaar saṫgur parsaaḋ.
One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru:
|
ਰਾਮ ਕੋ ਬਲੁ ਪੂਰਨ ਭਾਈ ॥
राम को बलु पूरन भाई ॥
Raam ko bal pooran bʰaa▫ee.
The power of the Lord is universal and perfect, O Siblings of Destiny.
|
ਤਾ ਤੇ ਬ੍ਰਿਥਾ ਨ ਬਿਆਪੈ ਕਾਈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ता ते ब्रिथा न बिआपै काई ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Ṫaa ṫé bariṫʰa na bi▫aapæ kaa▫ee. ||1|| rahaa▫o.
So, no pain can ever afflict me. ||1||Pause||
|
ਜੋ ਜੋ ਚਿਤਵੈ ਦਾਸੁ ਹਰਿ ਮਾਈ ॥
जो जो चितवै दासु हरि माई ॥
Jo jo chiṫvæ ḋaas har maa▫ee.
Whatever the Lord’s slave wishes, O mother,
|
ਸੋ ਸੋ ਕਰਤਾ ਆਪਿ ਕਰਾਈ ॥੧॥
सो सो करता आपि कराई ॥१॥
So so karṫaa aap karaa▫ee. ||1||
the Creator Himself causes that to be done. ||1||
|
ਨਿੰਦਕ ਕੀ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਪਤਿ ਗਵਾਈ ॥
निंदक की प्रभि पति गवाई ॥
Ninḋak kee parabʰ paṫ gavaa▫ee.
God causes the slanderers to lose their honor.
|
ਨਾਨਕ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਣ ਨਿਰਭਉ ਗਾਈ ॥੨॥੧੧੪॥
नानक हरि गुण निरभउ गाई ॥२॥११४॥
Naanak har guṇ nirbʰa▫o gaa▫ee. ||2||114||
Nanak sings the Glorious Praises of the Fearless Lord. ||2||114||
