ਪੀੜ ਗਈ ਫਿਰਿ ਨਹੀ ਦੁਹੇਲੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
पीड़ गई फिरि नही दुहेली ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Peeṛ ga▫ee fir nahee ḋuhélee. ||1|| rahaa▫o.
her pain is dispelled, and she shall not become sad again. ||1||Pause||

ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਚਰਨ ਸੰਗਿ ਮੇਲੀ ॥
करि किरपा चरन संगि मेली ॥
Kar kirpaa charan sang mélee.
Showing His Mercy, He joins her with His Feet,

ਸੂਖ ਸਹਜ ਆਨੰਦ ਸੁਹੇਲੀ ॥੧॥
सूख सहज आनंद सुहेली ॥१॥
Sookʰ sahj aananḋ suhélee. ||1||
and she attains celestial peace, joy and comfort. ||1||

ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਇ ਅਤੋਲੀ ॥
साधसंगि गुण गाइ अतोली ॥
Saaḋʰsang guṇ gaa▫é aṫolee.
In the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, she sings the Glorious Praises of the Immeasurable Lord.

ਕਾਮ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਮਾਇਆ ਮਦ ਮਤਸਰ ਏ ਖੇਲਤ ਸਭਿ ਜੂਐ ਹਾਰੇ ॥
काम क्रोध माइआ मद मतसर ए खेलत सभि जूऐ हारे ॥
Kaam kroḋʰ maa▫i▫aa maḋ maṫsar é kʰélaṫ sabʰ joo▫æ haaré.
Sexual desire, anger, intoxication with Maya and jealousy - I have lost all of these in the game of chance.

ਸਤੁ ਸੰਤੋਖੁ ਦਇਆ ਧਰਮੁ ਸਚੁ ਇਹ ਅਪੁਨੈ ਗ੍ਰਿਹ ਭੀਤਰਿ ਵਾਰੇ ॥੧॥
सतु संतोखु दइआ धरमु सचु इह अपुनै ग्रिह भीतरि वारे ॥१॥
Saṫ sanṫokʰ ḋa▫i▫aa ḋʰaram sach ih apunæ garih bʰeeṫar vaaré. ||1||
Purity, contentment, compassion, faith and truthfulness - I have ushered these into the home of myself. ||1||

ਜਨਮ ਮਰਨ ਚੂਕੇ ਸਭਿ ਭਾਰੇ ॥
जनम मरन चूके सभि भारे ॥
Janam maran chooké sabʰ bʰaaré.
All the loads of birth and death have been removed.

ਮਿਲਤ ਸੰਗਿ ਭਇਓ ਮਨੁ ਨਿਰਮਲੁ ਗੁਰਿ ਪੂਰੈ ਲੈ ਖਿਨ ਮਹਿ ਤਾਰੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
मिलत संगि भइओ मनु निरमलु गुरि पूरै लै खिन महि तारे ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Milaṫ sang bʰa▫i▫o man nirmal gur pooræ læ kʰin mėh ṫaaré. ||1|| rahaa▫o.
Joining the Saints’ Society, my mind has become pure; the Perfect Guru has saved me in an instant. ||1||Pause||

ਸਭ ਕੀ ਰੇਨੁ ਹੋਇ ਰਹੈ ਮਨੂਆ ਸਗਲੇ ਦੀਸਹਿ ਮੀਤ ਪਿਆਰੇ ॥
सभ की रेनु होइ रहै मनूआ सगले दीसहि मीत पिआरे ॥
Sabʰ kee rén ho▫é rahæ manoo▫aa saglé ḋeesėh meeṫ pi▫aaré.
My mind has become the dust of all, and everyone seems a sweet friend to me.

ਸਭ ਮਧੇ ਰਵਿਆ ਮੇਰਾ ਠਾਕੁਰੁ ਦਾਨੁ ਦੇਤ ਸਭਿ ਜੀਅ ਸਮੑਾਰੇ ॥੨॥
सभ मधे रविआ मेरा ठाकुरु दानु देत सभि जीअ सम्हारे ॥२॥
Sabʰ maḋʰé ravi▫aa méraa tʰaakur ḋaan ḋéṫ sabʰ jee▫a samĥaaré. ||2||
My Lord and Master is contained in all. He gives His Gifts to all beings, and cherishes them. ||2||

ਏਕੋ ਏਕੁ ਆਪਿ ਇਕੁ ਏਕੈ ਏਕੈ ਹੈ ਸਗਲਾ ਪਾਸਾਰੇ ॥
एको एकु आपि इकु एकै एकै है सगला पासारे ॥
Éko ék aap ik ékæ ékæ hæ saglaa paasaaré.
He Himself is the One and only; from the One, the One and only, came the expanse of the entire creation.

ਜਪਿ ਜਪਿ ਹੋਏ ਸਗਲ ਸਾਧ ਜਨ ਏਕੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਇ ਬਹੁਤੁ ਉਧਾਰੇ ॥੩॥
जपि जपि होए सगल साध जन एकु नामु धिआइ बहुतु उधारे ॥३॥
Jap jap ho▫é sagal saaḋʰ jan ék naam ḋʰi▫aa▫é bahuṫ uḋʰaaré. ||3||
Chanting and meditating, all the humble beings have become Holy; meditating on the Naam, the Name of the Lord, so many have been saved. ||3||

ਗਹਿਰ ਗੰਭੀਰ ਬਿਅੰਤ ਗੁਸਾਈ ਅੰਤੁ ਨਹੀ ਕਿਛੁ ਪਾਰਾਵਾਰੇ ॥
गहिर ग्मभीर बिअंत गुसाई अंतु नही किछु पारावारे ॥
Gahir gambʰeer bi▫anṫ gusaa▫ee anṫ nahee kichʰ paaraavaaré.
The Lord of the Universe is deep, profound and infinite; He has no end or limitation.

ਤੁਮੑਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਤੇ ਗੁਨ ਗਾਵੈ ਨਾਨਕ ਧਿਆਇ ਧਿਆਇ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕਉ ਨਮਸਕਾਰੇ ॥੪॥੩੬॥
तुम्हरी क्रिपा ते गुन गावै नानक धिआइ धिआइ प्रभ कउ नमसकारे ॥४॥३६॥
Ṫumĥree kirpaa ṫé gun gaavæ Naanak ḋʰi▫aa▫é ḋʰi▫aa▫é parabʰ ka▫o namaskaaré. ||4||36||
By Your Grace, Nanak sings Your Glorious Praises; meditating, meditating, he humbly bows to God. ||4||36||

ਤੂ ਬਿਅੰਤੁ ਅਵਿਗਤੁ ਅਗੋਚਰੁ ਇਹੁ ਸਭੁ ਤੇਰਾ ਆਕਾਰੁ ॥
तू बिअंतु अविगतु अगोचरु इहु सभु तेरा आकारु ॥
Ṫoo bi▫anṫ avigaṫ agochar ih sabʰ ṫéraa aakaar.
You are Infinite, Eternal and Incomprehensible; all this is Your Creation.

ਕਿਆ ਹਮ ਜੰਤ ਕਰਹ ਚਤੁਰਾਈ ਜਾਂ ਸਭੁ ਕਿਛੁ ਤੁਝੈ ਮਝਾਰਿ ॥੧॥
किआ हम जंत करह चतुराई जां सभु किछु तुझै मझारि ॥१॥
Ki▫aa ham janṫ karah chaṫuraa▫ee jaaⁿ sabʰ kichʰ ṫujʰæ majʰaar. ||1||
What clever games can we play, when everything is contained in You? ||1||
|
ਮੇਰੇ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਅਪਨੇ ਬਾਲਿਕ ਰਾਖਹੁ ਲੀਲਾ ਧਾਰਿ ॥
मेरे सतिगुर अपने बालिक राखहु लीला धारि ॥
Méré saṫgur apné baalik raakʰo leelaa ḋʰaar.
O my True Guru, protect me, Your child, through the power of Your play.

ਦੇਹੁ ਸੁਮਤਿ ਸਦਾ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਅਗਮ ਅਪਾਰ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
देहु सुमति सदा गुण गावा मेरे ठाकुर अगम अपार ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Ḋéh sumaṫ saḋaa guṇ gaavaa méré tʰaakur agam apaar. ||1|| rahaa▫o.
Grant me the good sense to ever sing Your Glorious Praises, O my Inaccessible and Infinite Lord and Master. ||1||Pause||

ਜੈਸੇ ਜਨਨਿ ਜਠਰ ਮਹਿ ਪ੍ਰਾਨੀ ਓਹੁ ਰਹਤਾ ਨਾਮ ਅਧਾਰਿ ॥
जैसे जननि जठर महि प्रानी ओहु रहता नाम अधारि ॥
Jæsé janan jatʰar mėh paraanee oh rahṫaa naam aḋʰaar.
The mortal is preserved in the womb of his mother, by the Support of the Naam, the Name of the Lord;

ਅਨਦੁ ਕਰੈ ਸਾਸਿ ਸਾਸਿ ਸਮੑਾਰੈ ਨਾ ਪੋਹੈ ਅਗਨਾਰਿ ॥੨॥
अनदु करै सासि सासि सम्हारै ना पोहै अगनारि ॥२॥
Anaḋ karæ saas saas samĥaaræ naa pohæ agnaar. ||2||
he makes merry, and with each and every breath he remembers the Lord, and the fire does not touch him. ||2||
|
ਪਰ ਧਨ ਪਰ ਦਾਰਾ ਪਰ ਨਿੰਦਾ ਇਨ ਸਿਉ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਨਿਵਾਰਿ ॥
पर धन पर दारा पर निंदा इन सिउ प्रीति निवारि ॥
Par ḋʰan par ḋaaraa par ninḋaa in si▫o pareeṫ nivaar.
Others’ wealth, others’ wives, and the slander of others - renounce your craving for these.
|
ਚਰਨ ਕਮਲ ਸੇਵੀ ਰਿਦ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਗੁਰ ਪੂਰੇ ਕੈ ਆਧਾਰਿ ॥੩॥
चरन कमल सेवी रिद अंतरि गुर पूरे कै आधारि ॥३॥
Charan kamal sévee riḋ anṫar gur pooré kæ aaḋʰaar. ||3||
Serve the Lord’s Lotus Feet within your heart, and hold to the Support of the Perfect Guru. ||3||

ਗ੍ਰਿਹੁ ਮੰਦਰ ਮਹਲਾ ਜੋ ਦੀਸਹਿ ਨਾ ਕੋਈ ਸੰਗਾਰਿ ॥
ग्रिहु मंदर महला जो दीसहि ना कोई संगारि ॥
Garihu manḋar mėhlaa jo ḋeesėh naa ko▫ee sangaar.
Houses, mansions and palaces which you see - none of these shall go with you.

ਜਬ ਲਗੁ ਜੀਵਹਿ ਕਲੀ ਕਾਲ ਮਹਿ ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮੁ ਸਮੑਾਰਿ ॥੪॥੩੭॥
जब लगु जीवहि कली काल महि जन नानक नामु सम्हारि ॥४॥३७॥
Jab lag jeevėh kalee kaal mėh jan Naanak naam samĥaar. ||4||37||
As long as you live in this Dark Age of Kali Yuga, O servant Nanak! Remember the Naam, the Name of the Lord. ||4||37||

ਰਾਜ ਮਿਲਕ ਜੋਬਨ ਗ੍ਰਿਹ ਸੋਭਾ ਰੂਪਵੰਤੁ ਜੋੁਆਨੀ ॥
राज मिलक जोबन ग्रिह सोभा रूपवंतु जुोआनी ॥
Raaj milak joban garih sobʰaa roopvanṫ jo▫aanee.
Power, property, youth, household, fame and the beauty of youth;

ਬਹੁਤੁ ਦਰਬੁ ਹਸਤੀ ਅਰੁ ਘੋੜੇ ਲਾਲ ਲਾਖ ਬੈ ਆਨੀ ॥
बहुतु दरबु हसती अरु घोड़े लाल लाख बै आनी ॥
Bahuṫ ḋarab hasṫee ar gʰoṛé laal laakʰ bæ aanee.
great wealth, elephants, horses and jewels, purchased with tens of thousands of dollars;

ਆਗੈ ਦਰਗਹਿ ਕਾਮਿ ਨ ਆਵੈ ਛੋਡਿ ਚਲੈ ਅਭਿਮਾਨੀ ॥੧॥
आगै दरगहि कामि न आवै छोडि चलै अभिमानी ॥१॥
Aagæ ḋargahi kaam na aavæ chʰod chalæ abʰimaanee. ||1||
hereafter, these shall be of no avail in the Court of the Lord; the proud must depart, leaving them behind. ||1||
|
ਕਾਹੇ ਏਕ ਬਿਨਾ ਚਿਤੁ ਲਾਈਐ ॥
काहे एक बिना चितु लाईऐ ॥
Kaahé ék binaa chiṫ laa▫ee▫æ.
Why center your consciousness on any other than the Lord?

ਊਠਤ ਬੈਠਤ ਸੋਵਤ ਜਾਗਤ ਸਦਾ ਸਦਾ ਹਰਿ ਧਿਆਈਐ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
ऊठत बैठत सोवत जागत सदा सदा हरि धिआईऐ ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Ootʰaṫ bætʰaṫ sovaṫ jaagaṫ saḋaa saḋaa har ḋʰi▫aa▫ee▫æ. ||1|| rahaa▫o.
Sitting down, standing up, sleeping and waking, forever and ever, meditate on the Lord. ||1||Pause||

ਮਹਾ ਬਚਿਤ੍ਰ ਸੁੰਦਰ ਆਖਾੜੇ ਰਣ ਮਹਿ ਜਿਤੇ ਪਵਾੜੇ ॥
महा बचित्र सुंदर आखाड़े रण महि जिते पवाड़े ॥
Mahaa bachiṫar sunḋar aakʰaaṛé raṇ mėh jiṫé pavaaṛé.
He may have the most wondrous and beautiful arenas, and be victorious on the field of battle.
