ਸੀਤਲੁ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਸਿਮਰਤ ਤਪਤਿ ਜਾਇ ॥੩॥
सीतलु हरि हरि नामु सिमरत तपति जाइ ॥३॥
Seeṫal har har naam simraṫ ṫapaṫ jaa▫é. ||3||
The Name of the Lord, Har, Har, is soothing and cool; remembering it in meditation, the inner fire is quenched. ||3||
|
ਸੂਖ ਸਹਜ ਆਨੰਦ ਘਣਾ ਨਾਨਕ ਜਨ ਧੂਰਾ ॥
सूख सहज आनंद घणा नानक जन धूरा ॥
Sookʰ sahj aananḋ gʰaṇaa Naanak jan ḋʰooraa.
Peace, poise, and immense bliss, O Nanak! Are obtained, when one becomes the dust of the feet of the humble servants of the Lord.

ਕਾਰਜ ਸਗਲੇ ਸਿਧਿ ਭਏ ਭੇਟਿਆ ਗੁਰੁ ਪੂਰਾ ॥੪॥੧੦॥੧੧੨॥
कारज सगले सिधि भए भेटिआ गुरु पूरा ॥४॥१०॥११२॥
Kaaraj saglé siḋʰ bʰa▫é bʰéti▫aa gur pooraa. ||4||10||112||
All of one’s affairs are perfectly resolved, meeting with the Perfect Guru. ||4||10||112||

ਗੋਬਿੰਦੁ ਗੁਣੀ ਨਿਧਾਨੁ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਜਾਣੀਐ ॥
गोबिंदु गुणी निधानु गुरमुखि जाणीऐ ॥
Gobinḋ guṇee niḋʰaan gurmukʰ jaaṇee▫æ.
The Lord of the Universe is the treasure of excellence; He is known only to the Gurmukh.

ਹੋਇ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲੁ ਦਇਆਲੁ ਹਰਿ ਰੰਗੁ ਮਾਣੀਐ ॥੧॥
होइ क्रिपालु दइआलु हरि रंगु माणीऐ ॥१॥
Ho▫é kirpaal ḋa▫i▫aal har rang maaṇee▫æ. ||1||
When He shows His Mercy and Kindness, we revel in the Lord’s Love. ||1||

ਆਵਹੁ ਸੰਤ ਮਿਲਾਹ ਹਰਿ ਕਥਾ ਕਹਾਣੀਆ ॥
आवहु संत मिलाह हरि कथा कहाणीआ ॥
Aavhu sanṫ milaah har kaṫʰaa kahaaṇee▫aa.
Come, O Saints - let us join together and speak the Sermon of the Lord.

ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਸਿਮਰਹ ਨਾਮੁ ਤਜਿ ਲਾਜ ਲੋਕਾਣੀਆ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
अनदिनु सिमरह नामु तजि लाज लोकाणीआ ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
An▫ḋin simrėh naam ṫaj laaj lokaaṇee▫aa. ||1|| rahaa▫o.
Night and day, meditate on the Naam, the Name of the Lord, and ignore the criticism of others. ||1||Pause||
|
ਜਪਿ ਜਪਿ ਜੀਵਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਹੋਵੈ ਅਨਦੁ ਘਣਾ ॥
जपि जपि जीवा नामु होवै अनदु घणा ॥
Jap jap jeevaa naam hovæ anaḋ gʰaṇaa.
I live by chanting and meditating on the Naam, and so I obtain immense bliss.

ਮਿਥਿਆ ਮੋਹੁ ਸੰਸਾਰੁ ਝੂਠਾ ਵਿਣਸਣਾ ॥੨॥
मिथिआ मोहु संसारु झूठा विणसणा ॥२॥
Miṫʰi▫aa moh sansaar jʰootʰaa viṇsaṇaa. ||2||
Attachment to the world is useless and vain; it is false, and perishes in the end. ||2||
|
ਚਰਣ ਕਮਲ ਸੰਗਿ ਨੇਹੁ ਕਿਨੈ ਵਿਰਲੈ ਲਾਇਆ ॥
चरण कमल संगि नेहु किनै विरलै लाइआ ॥
Charaṇ kamal sang néhu kinæ virlæ laa▫i▫aa.
How rare are those who embrace love for the Lord’s Lotus Feet.

ਧੰਨੁ ਸੁਹਾਵਾ ਮੁਖੁ ਜਿਨਿ ਹਰਿ ਧਿਆਇਆ ॥੩॥
धंनु सुहावा मुखु जिनि हरि धिआइआ ॥३॥
Ḋʰan suhaavaa mukʰ jin har ḋʰi▫aa▫i▫aa. ||3||
Blessed and beautiful is that mouth, which meditates on the Lord. ||3||
|
ਜਨਮ ਮਰਣ ਦੁਖ ਕਾਲ ਸਿਮਰਤ ਮਿਟਿ ਜਾਵਈ ॥
जनम मरण दुख काल सिमरत मिटि जावई ॥
Janam maraṇ ḋukʰ kaal simraṫ mit jaav▫ee.
The pains of birth, death and reincarnation are erased by meditating on the Lord.

ਨਾਨਕ ਕੈ ਸੁਖੁ ਸੋਇ ਜੋ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਭਾਵਈ ॥੪॥੧੧॥੧੧੩॥
नानक कै सुखु सोइ जो प्रभ भावई ॥४॥११॥११३॥
Naanak kæ sukʰ so▫é jo parabʰ bʰaav▫ee. ||4||11||113||
That alone is Nanak’s joy, which is pleasing to God. ||4||11||113||

ਆਵਹੁ ਮੀਤ ਇਕਤ੍ਰ ਹੋਇ ਰਸ ਕਸ ਸਭਿ ਭੁੰਚਹ ॥
आवहु मीत इकत्र होइ रस कस सभि भुंचह ॥
Aavhu meeṫ ikaṫar ho▫é ras kas sabʰ bʰunchah.
Come, O friends: let us meet together and enjoy all the tastes and flavors.

ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤ ਨਾਮੁ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਜਪਹ ਮਿਲਿ ਪਾਪਾ ਮੁੰਚਹ ॥੧॥
अमृत नामु हरि हरि जपह मिलि पापा मुंचह ॥१॥
Amriṫ naam har har japah mil paapaa munchah. ||1||
Let us join together and chant the Ambrosial Name of the Lord, Har, Har, and so wipe away our sins. ||1||
|
ਤਤੁ ਵੀਚਾਰਹੁ ਸੰਤ ਜਨਹੁ ਤਾ ਤੇ ਬਿਘਨੁ ਨ ਲਾਗੈ ॥
ततु वीचारहु संत जनहु ता ते बिघनु न लागै ॥
Ṫaṫ veechaarahu sanṫ janhu ṫaa ṫé bigʰan na laagæ.
Reflect upon the essence of reality, O Saintly beings, and no troubles shall afflict you.

ਖੀਨ ਭਏ ਸਭਿ ਤਸਕਰਾ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਜਨੁ ਜਾਗੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
खीन भए सभि तसकरा गुरमुखि जनु जागै ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Kʰeen bʰa▫é sabʰ ṫaskaraa gurmukʰ jan jaagæ. ||1|| rahaa▫o.
All of the thieves shall be destroyed, as the Gurmukhs remain wakeful. ||1||Pause||
|
ਬੁਧਿ ਗਰੀਬੀ ਖਰਚੁ ਲੈਹੁ ਹਉਮੈ ਬਿਖੁ ਜਾਰਹੁ ॥
बुधि गरीबी खरचु लैहु हउमै बिखु जारहु ॥
Buḋʰ gareebee kʰarach læhu ha▫umæ bikʰ jaarahu.
Take wisdom and humility as your supplies, and burn away the poison of pride.

ਸਾਚਾ ਹਟੁ ਪੂਰਾ ਸਉਦਾ ਵਖਰੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਵਾਪਾਰਹੁ ॥੨॥
साचा हटु पूरा सउदा वखरु नामु वापारहु ॥२॥
Saachaa hat pooraa sa▫uḋaa vakʰar naam vaapaarahu. ||2||
True is that shop, and perfect the transaction; deal only in the merchandise of the Naam, the Name of the Lord. ||2||
|
ਜੀਉ ਪਿੰਡੁ ਧਨੁ ਅਰਪਿਆ ਸੇਈ ਪਤਿਵੰਤੇ ॥
जीउ पिंडु धनु अरपिआ सेई पतिवंते ॥
Jee▫o pind ḋʰan arpi▫aa sé▫ee paṫivanṫé.
They alone are accepted and approved, who dedicate their souls, bodies and wealth.

ਆਪਨੜੇ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਭਾਣਿਆ ਨਿਤ ਕੇਲ ਕਰੰਤੇ ॥੩॥
आपनड़े प्रभ भाणिआ नित केल करंते ॥३॥
Aapnaṛé parabʰ bʰaaṇi▫aa niṫ kél karanṫé. ||3||
Those who are pleasing to their God, celebrate in happiness. ||3||
|
ਦੁਰਮਤਿ ਮਦੁ ਜੋ ਪੀਵਤੇ ਬਿਖਲੀ ਪਤਿ ਕਮਲੀ ॥
दुरमति मदु जो पीवते बिखली पति कमली ॥
Ḋurmaṫ maḋ jo peevṫé bikʰlee paṫ kamlee.
Those fools, who drink the wine of evil-mindedness, become the husbands of prostitutes.

ਰਾਮ ਰਸਾਇਣਿ ਜੋ ਰਤੇ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਚ ਅਮਲੀ ॥੪॥੧੨॥੧੧੪॥
राम रसाइणि जो रते नानक सच अमली ॥४॥१२॥११४॥
Raam rasaa▫iṇ jo raṫé Naanak sach amlee. ||4||12||114||
But those who are imbued with the sublime essence of the Lord, O Nanak! Are intoxicated with the Truth. ||4||12||114||

ਉਦਮੁ ਕੀਆ ਕਰਾਇਆ ਆਰੰਭੁ ਰਚਾਇਆ ॥
उदमु कीआ कराइआ आर्मभु रचाइआ ॥
Uḋam kee▫aa karaa▫i▫aa aarambʰ rachaa▫i▫aa.
I made the effort; I did it, and made a beginning.
|
ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪੇ ਜਪਿ ਜੀਵਣਾ ਗੁਰਿ ਮੰਤ੍ਰੁ ਦ੍ਰਿੜਾਇਆ ॥੧॥
नामु जपे जपि जीवणा गुरि मंत्रु द्रिड़ाइआ ॥१॥
Naam japé jap jeevṇaa gur manṫar driṛ▫aa▫i▫aa. ||1||
I live by chanting and meditating on the Naam. The Guru has implanted this Mantra within me. ||1||
|
ਪਾਇ ਪਰਹ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਕੈ ਜਿਨਿ ਭਰਮੁ ਬਿਦਾਰਿਆ ॥
पाइ परह सतिगुरू कै जिनि भरमु बिदारिआ ॥
Paa▫é parah saṫguroo kæ jin bʰaram biḋaari▫aa.
I fall at the Feet of the True Guru, who has dispelled my doubts.

ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਆਪਣੀ ਸਚੁ ਸਾਜਿ ਸਵਾਰਿਆ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
करि किरपा प्रभि आपणी सचु साजि सवारिआ ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Kar kirpaa parabʰ aapṇee sach saaj savaari▫aa. ||1|| rahaa▫o.
Bestowing His Mercy, God has dressed me, and decorated me with the Truth. ||1||Pause||
|
ਕਰੁ ਗਹਿ ਲੀਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਚੁ ਹੁਕਮਿ ਰਜਾਈ ॥
करु गहि लीने आपणे सचु हुकमि रजाई ॥
Kar gėh leené aapṇé sach hukam rajaa▫ee.
Taking me by the hand, He made me His own, through the True Order of His Command.

ਜੋ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਦਿਤੀ ਦਾਤਿ ਸਾ ਪੂਰਨ ਵਡਿਆਈ ॥੨॥
जो प्रभि दिती दाति सा पूरन वडिआई ॥२॥
Jo parabʰ ḋiṫee ḋaaṫ saa pooran vadi▫aa▫ee. ||2||
That gift which God gave to me, is perfect greatness. ||2||
|
ਸਦਾ ਸਦਾ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਈਅਹਿ ਜਪਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਮੁਰਾਰੀ ॥
सदा सदा गुण गाईअहि जपि नामु मुरारी ॥
Saḋaa saḋaa guṇ gaa▫ee▫ah jap naam muraaree.
Forever and ever, sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord, and chant the Name of the Destroyer of ego.

ਨੇਮੁ ਨਿਬਾਹਿਓ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਧਾਰੀ ॥੩॥
नेमु निबाहिओ सतिगुरू प्रभि किरपा धारी ॥३॥
Ném nibaahi▫o saṫguroo parabʰ kirpaa ḋʰaaree. ||3||
My vows have been honored, by the Grace of God and the True Guru, who has showered His Mercy. ||3||
|
ਨਾਮੁ ਧਨੁ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਉ ਲਾਭੁ ਪੂਰੈ ਗੁਰਿ ਦਿਤਾ ॥
नामु धनु गुण गाउ लाभु पूरै गुरि दिता ॥
Naam ḋʰan guṇ gaa▫o laabʰ pooræ gur ḋiṫaa.
The Perfect Guru has given the wealth of the Naam, and the profit of singing the Lord’s Glorious Praises.

ਵਣਜਾਰੇ ਸੰਤ ਨਾਨਕਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਸਾਹੁ ਅਮਿਤਾ ॥੪॥੧੩॥੧੧੫॥
वणजारे संत नानका प्रभु साहु अमिता ॥४॥१३॥११५॥
vaṇjaaré sanṫ naankaa parabʰ saahu amiṫaa. ||4||13||115||
The Saints are the traders, O Nanak! And the Infinite Lord God is their Banker. ||4||13||115||

ਜਾ ਕਾ ਠਾਕੁਰੁ ਤੁਹੀ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਤਾ ਕੇ ਵਡਭਾਗਾ ॥
जा का ठाकुरु तुही प्रभ ता के वडभागा ॥
Jaa kaa tʰaakur ṫuhee parabʰ ṫaa ké vadbʰaagaa.
One who has You as His Master, O God, is blessed with great destiny.

ਓਹੁ ਸੁਹੇਲਾ ਸਦ ਸੁਖੀ ਸਭੁ ਭ੍ਰਮੁ ਭਉ ਭਾਗਾ ॥੧॥
ओहु सुहेला सद सुखी सभु भ्रमु भउ भागा ॥१॥
Oh suhélaa saḋ sukʰee sabʰ bʰaram bʰa▫o bʰaagaa. ||1||
He is happy, and forever at peace; his doubts and fears are all dispelled. ||1||
|
ਹਮ ਚਾਕਰ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਕੇ ਠਾਕੁਰੁ ਮੇਰਾ ਭਾਰਾ ॥
हम चाकर गोबिंद के ठाकुरु मेरा भारा ॥
Ham chaakar gobinḋ ké tʰaakur méraa bʰaaraa.
I am the slave of the Lord of the Universe; my Master is the greatest of all.

ਕਰਨ ਕਰਾਵਨ ਸਗਲ ਬਿਧਿ ਸੋ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੂ ਹਮਾਰਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
करन करावन सगल बिधि सो सतिगुरू हमारा ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Karan karaavan sagal biḋʰ so saṫguroo hamaaraa. ||1|| rahaa▫o.
He is the Creator, the Cause of all causes; He is my True Guru. ||1||Pause||
|
ਦੂਜਾ ਨਾਹੀ ਅਉਰੁ ਕੋ ਤਾ ਕਾ ਭਉ ਕਰੀਐ ॥
दूजा नाही अउरु को ता का भउ करीऐ ॥
Ḋoojaa naahee a▫or ko ṫaa kaa bʰa▫o karee▫æ.
There is no other whom I should fear.
