ਗੁਪਤ ਪ੍ਰਗਟ ਜਾ ਕਉ ਅਰਾਧਹਿ ਪਉਣ ਪਾਣੀ ਦਿਨਸੁ ਰਾਤਿ ॥
गुपत प्रगट जा कउ अराधहि पउण पाणी दिनसु राति ॥
Gupaṫ pargat jaa ka▫o araaḋʰėh pa▫uṇ paaṇee ḋinas raaṫ.
The invisible and visible beings worship Him in adoration, along with wind and water, day and night.

ਨਖਿਅਤ੍ਰ ਸਸੀਅਰ ਸੂਰ ਧਿਆਵਹਿ ਬਸੁਧ ਗਗਨਾ ਗਾਵਏ ॥
नखिअत्र ससीअर सूर धिआवहि बसुध गगना गावए ॥
Nakʰi▫aṫar sasee▫ar soor ḋʰi▫aavahi basuḋʰ gagnaa gaav▫é.
The stars, the moon and the sun meditate on Him; the earth and the sky sing to Him.

ਸਗਲ ਖਾਣੀ ਸਗਲ ਬਾਣੀ ਸਦਾ ਸਦਾ ਧਿਆਵਏ ॥
सगल खाणी सगल बाणी सदा सदा धिआवए ॥
Sagal kʰaaṇee sagal baṇee saḋaa saḋaa ḋʰi▫aav▫é.
All the sources of creation, and all languages meditate on Him, forever and ever.

ਸਿਮ੍ਰਿਤਿ ਪੁਰਾਣ ਚਤੁਰ ਬੇਦਹ ਖਟੁ ਸਾਸਤ੍ਰ ਜਾ ਕਉ ਜਪਾਤਿ ॥
सिम्रिति पुराण चतुर बेदह खटु सासत्र जा कउ जपाति ॥
Simriṫ puraaṇ chaṫur béḋah kʰat saasṫar jaa ka▫o japaaṫ.
The Smritis, the Puranas, the four Vedas and the six Shastras meditate on Him.

ਪਤਿਤ ਪਾਵਨ ਭਗਤਿ ਵਛਲ ਨਾਨਕ ਮਿਲੀਐ ਸੰਗਿ ਸਾਤਿ ॥੩॥
पतित पावन भगति वछल नानक मिलीऐ संगि साति ॥३॥
Paṫiṫ paavan bʰagaṫ vachʰal Naanak milee▫æ sang saaṫ. ||3||
He is the Purifier of sinners, the Lover of His Saints; O Nanak! He is met in the Society of the Saints. ||3||

ਜੇਤੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਜਨਾਈ ਰਸਨਾ ਤੇਤ ਭਨੀ ॥
जेती प्रभू जनाई रसना तेत भनी ॥
Jéṫee parabʰoo janaa▫ee rasnaa ṫéṫ bʰanee.
As much as God has revealed to us, that much we can speak with our tongues.

ਅਨਜਾਨਤ ਜੋ ਸੇਵੈ ਤੇਤੀ ਨਹ ਜਾਇ ਗਨੀ ॥
अनजानत जो सेवै तेती नह जाइ गनी ॥
Anjaanaṫ jo sévæ ṫéṫee nah jaa▫é ganee.
Those unknown ones who serve You cannot be counted.

ਅਵਿਗਤ ਅਗਨਤ ਅਥਾਹ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਸਗਲ ਮੰਝੇ ਬਾਹਰਾ ॥
अविगत अगनत अथाह ठाकुर सगल मंझे बाहरा ॥
Avigaṫ agnaṫ aṫʰaah tʰaakur sagal manjʰé baahraa.
Imperishable, incalculable, and unfathomable is the Lord and Master; He is everywhere, inside and out.

ਸਰਬ ਜਾਚਿਕ ਏਕੁ ਦਾਤਾ ਨਹ ਦੂਰਿ ਸੰਗੀ ਜਾਹਰਾ ॥
सरब जाचिक एकु दाता नह दूरि संगी जाहरा ॥
Sarab jaachik ék ḋaaṫaa nah ḋoor sangee jaahraa.
We are all beggars, He is the One and only Giver; He is not far away, but is with us, ever-present.

ਵਸਿ ਭਗਤ ਥੀਆ ਮਿਲੇ ਜੀਆ ਤਾ ਕੀ ਉਪਮਾ ਕਿਤ ਗਨੀ ॥
वसि भगत थीआ मिले जीआ ता की उपमा कित गनी ॥
vas bʰagaṫ ṫʰee▫aa milé jee▫aa ṫaa kee upmaa kiṫ ganee.
He is in the power of His devotees; those whose souls are united with Him - how can their praises be sung?

ਇਹੁ ਦਾਨੁ ਮਾਨੁ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਪਾਏ ਸੀਸੁ ਸਾਧਹ ਧਰਿ ਚਰਨੀ ॥੪॥੨॥੫॥
इहु दानु मानु नानकु पाए सीसु साधह धरि चरनी ॥४॥२॥५॥
Ih ḋaan maan Naanak paa▫é sees saaḋʰah ḋʰar charnee. ||4||2||5||
May Nanak receive this gift and honor, of placing his head on the feet of the Holy Saints. ||4||2||5||

ਉਦਮੁ ਕਰਹੁ ਵਡਭਾਗੀਹੋ ਸਿਮਰਹੁ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਰਾਇ ॥
उदमु करहु वडभागीहो सिमरहु हरि हरि राइ ॥
Uḋam karahu vadbʰaageeho simrahu har har raa▫é.
Make the effort, O very fortunate ones, and meditate on the Lord, the Lord King.

ਨਾਨਕ ਜਿਸੁ ਸਿਮਰਤ ਸਭ ਸੁਖ ਹੋਵਹਿ ਦੂਖੁ ਦਰਦੁ ਭ੍ਰਮੁ ਜਾਇ ॥੧॥
नानक जिसु सिमरत सभ सुख होवहि दूखु दरदु भ्रमु जाइ ॥१॥
Naanak jis simraṫ sabʰ sukʰ hovėh ḋookʰ ḋaraḋ bʰaram jaa▫é. ||1||
O Nanak! Remembering Him in meditation, you shall obtain total peace, and your pains and troubles and doubts shall depart. ||1||

ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪਤ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਨਹ ਅਲਸਾਈਐ ॥
नामु जपत गोबिंद नह अलसाईऐ ॥
Naam japaṫ gobinḋ nah alsaa▫ee▫æ.
Chant the Naam, the Name of the Lord of the Universe; don’t be lazy.

ਭੇਟਤ ਸਾਧੂ ਸੰਗ ਜਮ ਪੁਰਿ ਨਹ ਜਾਈਐ ॥
भेटत साधू संग जम पुरि नह जाईऐ ॥
Bʰétaṫ saaḋʰoo sang jam pur nah jaa▫ee▫æ.
Meeting with the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, you shall not have to go to the City of Death.

ਦੂਖ ਦਰਦ ਨ ਭਉ ਬਿਆਪੈ ਨਾਮੁ ਸਿਮਰਤ ਸਦ ਸੁਖੀ ॥
दूख दरद न भउ बिआपै नामु सिमरत सद सुखी ॥
Ḋookʰ ḋaraḋ na bʰa▫o bi▫aapæ naam simraṫ saḋ sukʰee.
Pain, trouble and fear will not afflict you; meditating on the Naam, a lasting peace is found.

ਸਾਸਿ ਸਾਸਿ ਅਰਾਧਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਧਿਆਇ ਸੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਮਨਿ ਮੁਖੀ ॥
सासि सासि अराधि हरि हरि धिआइ सो प्रभु मनि मुखी ॥
Saas saas araaḋʰ har har ḋʰi▫aa▫é so parabʰ man mukʰee.
With each and every breath, worship the Lord in adoration; meditate on the Lord God in your mind and with your mouth.

ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾਲ ਦਇਆਲ ਰਸਾਲ ਗੁਣ ਨਿਧਿ ਕਰਿ ਦਇਆ ਸੇਵਾ ਲਾਈਐ ॥
क्रिपाल दइआल रसाल गुण निधि करि दइआ सेवा लाईऐ ॥
Kirpaal ḋa▫i▫aal rasaal guṇ niḋʰ kar ḋa▫i▫aa sévaa laa▫ee▫æ.
O kind and compassionate Lord, O treasure of sublime essence, treasure of excellence, please link me to Your service.

ਨਾਨਕੁ ਪਇਅੰਪੈ ਚਰਣ ਜੰਪੈ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪਤ ਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਨਹ ਅਲਸਾਈਐ ॥੧॥
नानकु पइअ्मपै चरण ज्मपै नामु जपत गोबिंद नह अलसाईऐ ॥१॥
Naanak pa▫i▫ampæ charaṇ jampæ naam japaṫ gobinḋ nah alsaa▫ee▫æ. ||1||
Prays Nanak: may I meditate on the Lord’s lotus feet, and not be lazy in chanting the Naam, the Name of the Lord of the Universe. ||1||

ਪਾਵਨ ਪਤਿਤ ਪੁਨੀਤ ਨਾਮ ਨਿਰੰਜਨਾ ॥
पावन पतित पुनीत नाम निरंजना ॥
Paavan paṫiṫ puneeṫ naam niranjanaa.
The Purifier of sinners is the Naam, the Pure Name of the Immaculate Lord.

ਭਰਮ ਅੰਧੇਰ ਬਿਨਾਸ ਗਿਆਨ ਗੁਰ ਅੰਜਨਾ ॥
भरम अंधेर बिनास गिआन गुर अंजना ॥
Bʰaram anḋʰér binaas gi▫aan gur anjnaa.
The darkness of doubt is removed by the healing ointment of the Guru’s spiritual wisdom.

ਗੁਰ ਗਿਆਨ ਅੰਜਨ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਨਿਰੰਜਨ ਜਲਿ ਥਲਿ ਮਹੀਅਲਿ ਪੂਰਿਆ ॥
गुर गिआन अंजन प्रभ निरंजन जलि थलि महीअलि पूरिआ ॥
Gur gi▫aan anjan parabʰ niranjan jal ṫʰal mahee▫al poori▫aa.
By the healing ointment of the Guru’s spiritual wisdom, one meets the Immaculate Lord God, who is totally pervading the water, the land and the sky.

ਇਕ ਨਿਮਖ ਜਾ ਕੈ ਰਿਦੈ ਵਸਿਆ ਮਿਟੇ ਤਿਸਹਿ ਵਿਸੂਰਿਆ ॥
इक निमख जा कै रिदै वसिआ मिटे तिसहि विसूरिआ ॥
Ik nimakʰ jaa kæ riḋæ vasi▫aa mité ṫisėh visoori▫aa.
If He dwells within the heart, for even an instant, sorrows are forgotten.

ਅਗਾਧਿ ਬੋਧ ਸਮਰਥ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਸਰਬ ਕਾ ਭਉ ਭੰਜਨਾ ॥
अगाधि बोध समरथ सुआमी सरब का भउ भंजना ॥
Agaaḋʰ boḋʰ samraṫʰ su▫aamee sarab kaa bʰa▫o bʰanjnaa.
The wisdom of the all-powerful Lord and Master is incomprehensible; He is the Destroyer of the fears of all.

ਨਾਨਕੁ ਪਇਅੰਪੈ ਚਰਣ ਜੰਪੈ ਪਾਵਨ ਪਤਿਤ ਪੁਨੀਤ ਨਾਮ ਨਿਰੰਜਨਾ ॥੨॥

ਓਟ ਗਹੀ ਗੋਪਾਲ ਦਇਆਲ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਨਿਧੇ ॥
ओट गही गोपाल दइआल क्रिपा निधे ॥
Ot gahee gopaal ḋa▫i▫aal kirpaa niḋʰé.
I have grasped the protection of the merciful Lord, the Sustainer of the Universe, the treasure of grace.

ਮੋਹਿ ਆਸਰ ਤੁਅ ਚਰਨ ਤੁਮਾਰੀ ਸਰਨਿ ਸਿਧੇ ॥
मोहि आसर तुअ चरन तुमारी सरनि सिधे ॥
Mohi aasar ṫu▫a charan ṫumaaree saran siḋʰé.
I take the support of Your lotus feet, and in the protection of Your Sanctuary, I attain perfection.

ਹਰਿ ਚਰਨ ਕਾਰਨ ਕਰਨ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਪਤਿਤ ਉਧਰਨ ਹਰਿ ਹਰੇ ॥
हरि चरन कारन करन सुआमी पतित उधरन हरि हरे ॥
Har charan kaaran karan su▫aamee paṫiṫ uḋʰran har haré.
The Lord’s lotus feet are the Cause of all causes; the Lord Master saves even the sinners.

ਸਾਗਰ ਸੰਸਾਰ ਭਵ ਉਤਾਰ ਨਾਮੁ ਸਿਮਰਤ ਬਹੁ ਤਰੇ ॥
सागर संसार भव उतार नामु सिमरत बहु तरे ॥
Saagar sansaar bʰav uṫaar naam simraṫ baho ṫaré.
So many are saved; they cross over the terrifying world-ocean, contemplating the Naam, the Name of the Lord.

ਆਦਿ ਅੰਤਿ ਬੇਅੰਤ ਖੋਜਹਿ ਸੁਨੀ ਉਧਰਨ ਸੰਤਸੰਗ ਬਿਧੇ ॥
आदि अंति बेअंत खोजहि सुनी उधरन संतसंग बिधे ॥
Aaḋ anṫ bé▫anṫ kʰojėh sunee uḋʰran saṫsang biḋʰé.
In the beginning and in the end, countless are those who seek the Lord. I have heard that the Society of the Saints is the way to salvation.

ਨਾਨਕੁ ਪਇਅੰਪੈ ਚਰਨ ਜੰਪੈ ਓਟ ਗਹੀ ਗੋਪਾਲ ਦਇਆਲ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਨਿਧੇ ॥੩॥
नानकु पइअ्मपै चरन ज्मपै ओट गही गोपाल दइआल क्रिपा निधे ॥३॥
Naanak pa▫i▫ampæ charan jampæ ot gahee gopaal ḋa▫i▫aal kirpaa niḋʰé. ||3||
Prays Nanak, I meditate on the Lord’s lotus feet, and grasp the protection of the Lord of the Universe, the merciful, the ocean of kindness. ||3||

ਭਗਤਿ ਵਛਲੁ ਹਰਿ ਬਿਰਦੁ ਆਪਿ ਬਨਾਇਆ ॥
भगति वछलु हरि बिरदु आपि बनाइआ ॥
Bʰagaṫ vachʰal har biraḋ aap banaa▫i▫aa.
The Lord is the Lover of His devotees; this is His natural way.

ਜਹ ਜਹ ਸੰਤ ਅਰਾਧਹਿ ਤਹ ਤਹ ਪ੍ਰਗਟਾਇਆ ॥
जह जह संत अराधहि तह तह प्रगटाइआ ॥
Jah jah sanṫ araaḋʰėh ṫah ṫah paragtaa▫i▫aa.
Wherever the Saints worship the Lord in adoration, there He is revealed.

ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਆਪਿ ਲੀਏ ਸਮਾਇ ਸਹਜਿ ਸੁਭਾਇ ਭਗਤ ਕਾਰਜ ਸਾਰਿਆ ॥
प्रभि आपि लीए समाइ सहजि सुभाइ भगत कारज सारिआ ॥
Parabʰ aap lee▫é samaa▫é sahj subʰaa▫é bʰagaṫ kaaraj saari▫aa.
God blends Himself with His devotees in His natural way, and resolves their affairs.

ਆਨੰਦ ਹਰਿ ਜਸ ਮਹਾ ਮੰਗਲ ਸਰਬ ਦੂਖ ਵਿਸਾਰਿਆ ॥
आनंद हरि जस महा मंगल सरब दूख विसारिआ ॥
Aananḋ har jas mahaa mangal sarab ḋookʰ visaari▫aa.
In the ecstasy of the Lord’s Praises, they obtain supreme joy, and forget all their sorrows.
