ता महि मगन होत न तेरो जनु ॥२॥
Ṫaa mėh magan hoṫ na ṫéro jan. ||2||
Your humble servant is not engrossed in them. ||2||

ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਕੀ ਜੇਵਰੀ ਬਾਧਿਓ ਤੇਰੋ ਜਨ ॥
प्रेम की जेवरी बाधिओ तेरो जन ॥
Parém kee jévree baaḋʰi▫o ṫéro jan.
Your humble servant is tied by the rope of Your Love.

ਹਰਿ ਸਿਮਰਤ ਜਨ ਗਏ ਨਿਸਤਰਿ ਤਰੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
हरि सिमरत जन गए निसतरि तरे ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Har simraṫ jan ga▫é nisṫar ṫaré. ||1|| rahaa▫o.
Meditating on the Lord, the humble are carried across to salvation. ||1||Pause||

ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਨਾਮ ਕਬੀਰ ਉਜਾਗਰ ॥
हरि के नाम कबीर उजागर ॥
Har ké naam Kabeer ujaagar.
Through the Lord’s Name, Kabir became famous and respected.

ਜਨਮ ਜਨਮ ਕੇ ਕਾਟੇ ਕਾਗਰ ॥੧॥
जनम जनम के काटे कागर ॥१॥
Janam janam ké kaaté kaagar. ||1||
The accounts of his past incarnations were torn up. ||1||
|
ਨਿਮਤ ਨਾਮਦੇਉ ਦੂਧੁ ਪੀਆਇਆ ॥
निमत नामदेउ दूधु पीआइआ ॥
Nimaṫ naamḋé▫o ḋooḋʰ pee▫aa▫i▫aa.
Because of Namdev’s devotion, the Lord drank the milk he offered.

ਤਉ ਜਗ ਜਨਮ ਸੰਕਟ ਨਹੀ ਆਇਆ ॥੨॥
तउ जग जनम संकट नही आइआ ॥२॥
Ṫa▫o jag janam sankat nahee aa▫i▫aa. ||2||
He shall not have to suffer the pains of reincarnation into the world again. ||2||
|
ਜਨ ਰਵਿਦਾਸ ਰਾਮ ਰੰਗਿ ਰਾਤਾ ॥
जन रविदास राम रंगि राता ॥
Jan Raviḋaas raam rang raaṫaa.
Servant Ravi Das is imbued with the Lord’s Love.

ਇਉ ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦਿ ਨਰਕ ਨਹੀ ਜਾਤਾ ॥੩॥੫॥
इउ गुर परसादि नरक नही जाता ॥३॥५॥
I▫o gur parsaaḋ narak nahee jaaṫaa. ||3||5||
By Guru’s Grace, he shall not have to go to hell. ||3||5||

ਮਾਟੀ ਕੋ ਪੁਤਰਾ ਕੈਸੇ ਨਚਤੁ ਹੈ ॥
माटी को पुतरा कैसे नचतु है ॥
Maatee ko puṫraa kæsé nachaṫ hæ.
How does the puppet of clay dance?

ਦੇਖੈ ਦੇਖੈ ਸੁਨੈ ਬੋਲੈ ਦਉਰਿਓ ਫਿਰਤੁ ਹੈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
देखै देखै सुनै बोलै दउरिओ फिरतु है ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Ḋékʰæ ḋékʰæ sunæ bolæ ḋa▫ori▫o firaṫ hæ. ||1|| rahaa▫o.
He looks and listens, hears and speaks, and runs around. ||1||Pause||

ਜਬ ਕਛੁ ਪਾਵੈ ਤਬ ਗਰਬੁ ਕਰਤੁ ਹੈ ॥
जब कछु पावै तब गरबु करतु है ॥
Jab kachʰ paavæ ṫab garab karaṫ hæ.
When he acquires something, he is inflated with ego.

ਮਾਇਆ ਗਈ ਤਬ ਰੋਵਨੁ ਲਗਤੁ ਹੈ ॥੧॥
माइआ गई तब रोवनु लगतु है ॥१॥
Maa▫i▫aa ga▫ee ṫab rovan lagaṫ hæ. ||1||
But when his wealth is gone, then he cries and bewails. ||1||
|
ਮਨ ਬਚ ਕ੍ਰਮ ਰਸ ਕਸਹਿ ਲੁਭਾਨਾ ॥
मन बच क्रम रस कसहि लुभाना ॥
Man bach karam ras kasėh lubʰaanaa.
In thought, word and deed, he is attached to the sweet and tangy flavors.

ਬਿਨਸਿ ਗਇਆ ਜਾਇ ਕਹੂੰ ਸਮਾਨਾ ॥੨॥
बिनसि गइआ जाइ कहूं समाना ॥२॥
Binas ga▫i▫aa jaa▫é kahoo▫aⁿ samaanaa. ||2||
When he dies, no one knows where he has gone. ||2||

कहि रविदास बाजी जगु भाई ॥
Kahi Raviḋaas baajee jag bʰaa▫ee.

बाजीगर सउ मुोहि प्रीति बनि आई ॥३॥६॥
Baajeegar sa▫o mohi pareeṫ ban aa▫ee. ||3||6||
I have enshrined love for the Lord, the star of the show. ||3||6||

भ्रमत फिरत बहु जनम बिलाने तनु मनु धनु नही धीरे ॥
Bʰarmaṫ firaṫ baho janam bilaané ṫan man ḋʰan nahee ḋʰeeré.
I wandered through countless incarnations, but mind, body and wealth never remain stable.

ਲਾਲਚ ਬਿਖੁ ਕਾਮ ਲੁਬਧ ਰਾਤਾ ਮਨਿ ਬਿਸਰੇ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਹੀਰੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
लालच बिखु काम लुबध राता मनि बिसरे प्रभ हीरे ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Laalach bikʰ kaam lubaḋʰ raaṫaa man bisré parabʰ heeré. ||1|| rahaa▫o.
Attached to, and stained by the poisons of sexual desire and greed, the mind has forgotten the jewel of the Lord. ||1||Pause||

ਬਿਖੁ ਫਲ ਮੀਠ ਲਗੇ ਮਨ ਬਉਰੇ ਚਾਰ ਬਿਚਾਰ ਨ ਜਾਨਿਆ ॥
बिखु फल मीठ लगे मन बउरे चार बिचार न जानिआ ॥
Bikʰ fal meetʰ lagé man ba▫uré chaar bichaar na jaani▫aa.
The poisonous fruit seems sweet to the demented mind, which does not know the difference between good and evil.

ਗੁਨ ਤੇ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਬਢੀ ਅਨ ਭਾਂਤੀ ਜਨਮ ਮਰਨ ਫਿਰਿ ਤਾਨਿਆ ॥੧॥
गुन ते प्रीति बढी अन भांती जनम मरन फिरि तानिआ ॥१॥
Gun ṫé pareeṫ badʰee an bʰaaⁿṫee janam maran fir ṫaani▫aa. ||1||
Turning away from virtue, his love for other things increases, and he weaves again the web of birth and death. ||1||

ਜੁਗਤਿ ਜਾਨਿ ਨਹੀ ਰਿਦੈ ਨਿਵਾਸੀ ਜਲਤ ਜਾਲ ਜਮ ਫੰਧ ਪਰੇ ॥
जुगति जानि नही रिदै निवासी जलत जाल जम फंध परे ॥
Jugaṫ jaan nahee riḋæ nivaasee jalaṫ jaal jam fanḋʰ paré.
He does not know the way to the Lord, who dwells within his heart; burning in the trap, he is caught by the noose of death.

ਬਿਖੁ ਫਲ ਸੰਚਿ ਭਰੇ ਮਨ ਐਸੇ ਪਰਮ ਪੁਰਖ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਮਨ ਬਿਸਰੇ ॥੨॥
बिखु फल संचि भरे मन ऐसे परम पुरख प्रभ मन बिसरे ॥२॥
Bikʰ fal sanch bʰaré man æsé param purakʰ parabʰ man bisré. ||2||
Gathering the poisonous fruits, he fills his mind with them, and he forgets God, the Supreme Being, from his mind. ||2||

ਗਿਆਨ ਪ੍ਰਵੇਸੁ ਗੁਰਹਿ ਧਨੁ ਦੀਆ ਧਿਆਨੁ ਮਾਨੁ ਮਨ ਏਕ ਮਏ ॥
गिआन प्रवेसु गुरहि धनु दीआ धिआनु मानु मन एक मए ॥
Gi▫aan parvés gurėh ḋʰan ḋee▫aa ḋʰi▫aan maan man ék ma▫é.
The Guru has given the wealth of spiritual wisdom; practicing meditation, the mind becomes one with Him.

ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਭਗਤਿ ਮਾਨੀ ਸੁਖੁ ਜਾਨਿਆ ਤ੍ਰਿਪਤਿ ਅਘਾਨੇ ਮੁਕਤਿ ਭਏ ॥੩॥
प्रेम भगति मानी सुखु जानिआ त्रिपति अघाने मुकति भए ॥३॥
Parém bʰagaṫ maanee sukʰ jaani▫aa ṫaripaṫ agʰaané mukaṫ bʰa▫é. ||3||
Embracing loving devotional worship for the Lord, I have come to know peace; satisfied and satiated, I have been liberated. ||3||

ਜੋਤਿ ਸਮਾਇ ਸਮਾਨੀ ਜਾ ਕੈ ਅਛਲੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਪਹਿਚਾਨਿਆ ॥
जोति समाइ समानी जा कै अछली प्रभु पहिचानिआ ॥
Joṫ samaa▫é samaanee jaa kæ achʰlee parabʰ pėhchaani▫aa.
One who is filled with the Divine Light, recognizes the undeceivable Lord God.

ਧੰਨੈ ਧਨੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਧਰਣੀਧਰੁ ਮਿਲਿ ਜਨ ਸੰਤ ਸਮਾਨਿਆ ॥੪॥੧॥
धंनै धनु पाइआ धरणीधरु मिलि जन संत समानिआ ॥४॥१॥
Ḋʰannæ ḋʰan paa▫i▫aa ḋʰarṇeeḋʰar mil jan sanṫ samaani▫aa. ||4||1||
Dhanna has obtained the Lord, the Sustainer of the World, as his wealth; meeting the humble Saints, he merges into the Lord. ||4||1||

गोबिंद गोबिंद गोबिंद संगि नामदेउ मनु लीणा ॥
Gobinḋ gobinḋ gobinḋ sang naamḋé▫o man leeṇaa.
Namdev’s mind was absorbed into God, Gobind, Gobind, Gobind.

ਆਢ ਦਾਮ ਕੋ ਛੀਪਰੋ ਹੋਇਓ ਲਾਖੀਣਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
आढ दाम को छीपरो होइओ लाखीणा ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Aadʰ ḋaam ko chʰeepro ho▫i▫o laakʰeeṇaa. ||1|| rahaa▫o.
The calico-printer, worth half a shell, became worth millions. ||1||Pause||

ਬੁਨਨਾ ਤਨਨਾ ਤਿਆਗਿ ਕੈ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ਚਰਨ ਕਬੀਰਾ ॥
बुनना तनना तिआगि कै प्रीति चरन कबीरा ॥
Bunnaa ṫannaa ṫi▫aag kæ pareeṫ charan kabeeraa.
Abandoning weaving and stretching thread, Kabir enshrined love for the Lord’s lotus feet.

ਨੀਚ ਕੁਲਾ ਜੋਲਾਹਰਾ ਭਇਓ ਗੁਨੀਯ ਗਹੀਰਾ ॥੧॥
नीच कुला जोलाहरा भइओ गुनीय गहीरा ॥१॥
Neech kulaa jolaaharaa bʰa▫i▫o guneey gaheeraa. ||1||
A weaver from a lowly family, he became an ocean of excellence. ||1||
|
ਰਵਿਦਾਸੁ ਢੁਵੰਤਾ ਢੋਰ ਨੀਤਿ ਤਿਨਿ ਤਿਆਗੀ ਮਾਇਆ ॥
रविदासु ढुवंता ढोर नीति तिनि तिआगी माइआ ॥
Raviḋaas dʰuvanṫaa dʰor neeṫ ṫin ṫi▫aagee maa▫i▫aa.
Ravi Das, who used to carry dead cows every day, renounced the world of Maya.

ਪਰਗਟੁ ਹੋਆ ਸਾਧਸੰਗਿ ਹਰਿ ਦਰਸਨੁ ਪਾਇਆ ॥੨॥
परगटु होआ साधसंगि हरि दरसनु पाइआ ॥२॥
Pargat ho▫aa saaḋʰsang har ḋarsan paa▫i▫aa. ||2||
He became famous in the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy, and obtained the Blessed Vision of the Lord’s Darshan. ||2||
|
ਸੈਨੁ ਨਾਈ ਬੁਤਕਾਰੀਆ ਓਹੁ ਘਰਿ ਘਰਿ ਸੁਨਿਆ ॥
सैनु नाई बुतकारीआ ओहु घरि घरि सुनिआ ॥
Sæn naa▫ee buṫkaaree▫aa oh gʰar gʰar suni▫aa.
Sain, the barber, the village drudge, became famous in each and every house.

ਹਿਰਦੇ ਵਸਿਆ ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਭਗਤਾ ਮਹਿ ਗਨਿਆ ॥੩॥
हिरदे वसिआ पारब्रहमु भगता महि गनिआ ॥३॥
Hirḋé vasi▫aa paarbarahm bʰagṫaa mėh gani▫aa. ||3||
The Supreme Lord God dwelled in his heart, and he was counted among the devotees. ||3||
