ਤਾਣੁ ਮਾਣੁ ਦੀਬਾਣੁ ਸਾਚਾ ਨਾਨਕ ਕੀ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਟੇਕ ॥੪॥੨॥੨੦॥
ताणु माणु दीबाणु साचा नानक की प्रभ टेक ॥४॥२॥२०॥
Ṫaaṇ maaṇ ḋeebaaṇ saachaa Naanak kee parabʰ ték. ||4||2||20||
The True Lord is Nanak’s strength, honor and support; He alone is his protection. ||4||2||20||

ਫਿਰਤ ਫਿਰਤ ਭੇਟੇ ਜਨ ਸਾਧੂ ਪੂਰੈ ਗੁਰਿ ਸਮਝਾਇਆ ॥
फिरत फिरत भेटे जन साधू पूरै गुरि समझाइआ ॥
Firaṫ firaṫ bʰété jan saaḋʰoo pooræ gur samjʰaa▫i▫aa.
Wandering and roaming around, I met the Holy Perfect Guru, who has taught me.

ਆਨ ਸਗਲ ਬਿਧਿ ਕਾਂਮਿ ਨ ਆਵੈ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਇਆ ॥੧॥
आन सगल बिधि कांमि न आवै हरि हरि नामु धिआइआ ॥१॥
Aan sagal biḋʰ kaaⁿm na aavæ har har naam ḋʰi▫aa▫i▫aa. ||1||
All other devices do not work, so I meditate on the Name of the Lord, Har, Har. ||1||
|
ਤਾ ਤੇ ਮੋਹਿ ਧਾਰੀ ਓਟ ਗੋਪਾਲ ॥
ता ते मोहि धारी ओट गोपाल ॥
Ṫaa ṫé mohi ḋʰaaree ot gopaal.
For this reason, I sought the Protection and Support of my Lord, the Cherisher of the Universe.

ਸਰਨਿ ਪਰਿਓ ਪੂਰਨ ਪਰਮੇਸੁਰ ਬਿਨਸੇ ਸਗਲ ਜੰਜਾਲ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
सरनि परिओ पूरन परमेसुर बिनसे सगल जंजाल ॥ रहाउ ॥
Saran pari▫o pooran parmésur binsé sagal janjaal. Rahaa▫o.
I sought the Sanctuary of the Perfect Transcendent Lord, and all my entanglements were dissolved. ||Pause||

ਸੁਰਗ ਮਿਰਤ ਪਇਆਲ ਭੂ ਮੰਡਲ ਸਗਲ ਬਿਆਪੇ ਮਾਇ ॥
सुरग मिरत पइआल भू मंडल सगल बिआपे माइ ॥
Surag miraṫ pa▫i▫aal bʰoo mandal sagal bi▫aapé maa▫é.
Paradise, the earth, the nether regions of the underworld, and the globe of the world - all are engrossed in Maya.

ਜੀਅ ਉਧਾਰਨ ਸਭ ਕੁਲ ਤਾਰਨ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਇ ॥੨॥
जीअ उधारन सभ कुल तारन हरि हरि नामु धिआइ ॥२॥
Jee▫a uḋʰaaran sabʰ kul ṫaaran har har naam ḋʰi▫aa▫é. ||2||
To save your soul, and liberate all your ancestors, meditate on the Name of the Lord, Har, Har. ||2||

ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮੁ ਨਿਰੰਜਨੁ ਗਾਈਐ ਪਾਈਐ ਸਰਬ ਨਿਧਾਨਾ ॥
नानक नामु निरंजनु गाईऐ पाईऐ सरब निधाना ॥
Naanak naam niranjan gaa▫ee▫æ paa▫ee▫æ sarab niḋʰaanaa.
O Nanak! Singing the Naam, the Name of the Immaculate Lord, all treasures are obtained.

ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਜਿਸੁ ਦੇਇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਬਿਰਲੇ ਕਾਹੂ ਜਾਨਾ ॥੩॥੩॥੨੧॥
करि किरपा जिसु देइ सुआमी बिरले काहू जाना ॥३॥३॥२१॥
Kar kirpaa jis ḋé▫é su▫aamee birlé kaahoo jaanaa. ||3||3||21||
Only that rare person, whom the Lord and Master blesses with His Grace, comes to know this. ||3||3||21||

धनासरी महला ५ घरु २ चउपदे
Ḋʰanaasree mėhlaa 5 gʰar 2 cha▫upḋé

ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥
ੴ सतिगुर प्रसादि ॥
Ik▫oaⁿkaar saṫgur parsaaḋ.
One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru:

ਛੋਡਿ ਜਾਹਿ ਸੇ ਕਰਹਿ ਪਰਾਲ ॥
छोडि जाहि से करहि पराल ॥
Chʰod jaahi sé karahi paraal.
You shall have to abandon the straw which you have collected.
|
ਕਾਮਿ ਨ ਆਵਹਿ ਸੇ ਜੰਜਾਲ ॥
कामि न आवहि से जंजाल ॥
Kaam na aavahi sé janjaal.
These entanglements shall be of no use to you.
|
ਸੰਗਿ ਨ ਚਾਲਹਿ ਤਿਨ ਸਿਉ ਹੀਤ ॥
संगि न चालहि तिन सिउ हीत ॥
Sang na chaalėh ṫin si▫o heeṫ.
You are in love with those things that will not go with you.
|
ਜੋ ਬੈਰਾਈ ਸੇਈ ਮੀਤ ॥੧॥
जो बैराई सेई मीत ॥१॥
Jo bæraa▫ee sé▫ee meeṫ. ||1||
You think that your enemies are friends. ||1||
|
ਐਸੇ ਭਰਮਿ ਭੁਲੇ ਸੰਸਾਰਾ ॥
ऐसे भरमि भुले संसारा ॥
Æsé bʰaram bʰulé sansaaraa.
In such confusion, the world has gone astray.
|
ਜਨਮੁ ਪਦਾਰਥੁ ਖੋਇ ਗਵਾਰਾ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
जनमु पदारथु खोइ गवारा ॥ रहाउ ॥
Janam paḋaaraṫʰ kʰo▫é gavaaraa. Rahaa▫o.
The foolish mortal wastes this precious human life. ||Pause||
|
ਸਾਚੁ ਧਰਮੁ ਨਹੀ ਭਾਵੈ ਡੀਠਾ ॥
साचु धरमु नही भावै डीठा ॥
Saach ḋʰaram nahee bʰaavæ deetʰaa.
He does not like to see Truth and righteousness.
|
ਝੂਠ ਧੋਹ ਸਿਉ ਰਚਿਓ ਮੀਠਾ ॥
झूठ धोह सिउ रचिओ मीठा ॥
Jʰootʰ ḋʰoh si▫o rachi▫o meetʰaa.
He is attached to falsehood and deception; they seem sweet to him.
|
ਦਾਤਿ ਪਿਆਰੀ ਵਿਸਰਿਆ ਦਾਤਾਰਾ ॥
दाति पिआरी विसरिआ दातारा ॥
Ḋaaṫ pi▫aaree visri▫aa ḋaaṫaaraa.
He loves gifts, but he forgets the Giver.
|
ਜਾਣੈ ਨਾਹੀ ਮਰਣੁ ਵਿਚਾਰਾ ॥੨॥
जाणै नाही मरणु विचारा ॥२॥
Jaaṇæ naahee maraṇ vichaaraa. ||2||
The wretched creature does not even think of death. ||2||
|
ਵਸਤੁ ਪਰਾਈ ਕਉ ਉਠਿ ਰੋਵੈ ॥
वसतु पराई कउ उठि रोवै ॥
vasaṫ paraa▫ee ka▫o utʰ rovæ.
He cries for the possessions of others.
|
ਕਰਮ ਧਰਮ ਸਗਲਾ ਈ ਖੋਵੈ ॥
करम धरम सगला ई खोवै ॥
Karam ḋʰaram saglaa ee kʰovæ.
He forfeits all the merits of his good deeds and religion.
|
ਹੁਕਮੁ ਨ ਬੂਝੈ ਆਵਣ ਜਾਣੇ ॥
हुकमु न बूझै आवण जाणे ॥
Hukam na boojʰæ aavaṇ jaaṇé.
He does not understand the Hukam of the Lord’s Command, and so he continues coming and going in reincarnation.

ਪਾਪ ਕਰੈ ਤਾ ਪਛੋਤਾਣੇ ॥੩॥
पाप करै ता पछोताणे ॥३॥
Paap karæ ṫaa pachʰoṫaaṇé. ||3||
He sins, and then regrets and repents. ||3||
|
ਜੋ ਤੁਧੁ ਭਾਵੈ ਸੋ ਪਰਵਾਣੁ ॥
जो तुधु भावै सो परवाणु ॥
Jo ṫuḋʰ bʰaavæ so parvaaṇ.
Whatever pleases You, Lord, that alone is acceptable.
|
ਤੇਰੇ ਭਾਣੇ ਨੋ ਕੁਰਬਾਣੁ ॥
तेरे भाणे नो कुरबाणु ॥
Ṫéré bʰaaṇé no kurbaaṇ.
I am a sacrifice to Your Will.
|
ਨਾਨਕੁ ਗਰੀਬੁ ਬੰਦਾ ਜਨੁ ਤੇਰਾ ॥
नानकु गरीबु बंदा जनु तेरा ॥
Naanak gareeb banḋaa jan ṫéraa.
Poor Nanak is Your slave, Your humble servant.

ਰਾਖਿ ਲੇਇ ਸਾਹਿਬੁ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਮੇਰਾ ॥੪॥੧॥੨੨॥
राखि लेइ साहिबु प्रभु मेरा ॥४॥१॥२२॥
Raakʰ lé▫é saahib parabʰ méraa. ||4||1||22||
Save me, O my Lord God Master! ||4||1||22||

ਮੋਹਿ ਮਸਕੀਨ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਅਧਾਰੁ ॥
मोहि मसकीन प्रभु नामु अधारु ॥
Mohi maskeen parabʰ naam aḋʰaar.
I am meek and poor; the Name of God is my only Support.
|
ਖਾਟਣ ਕਉ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਰੋਜਗਾਰੁ ॥
खाटण कउ हरि हरि रोजगारु ॥
Kʰaataṇ ka▫o har har rojgaar.
The Name of the Lord, Har, Har, is my occupation and earnings.
|
ਸੰਚਣ ਕਉ ਹਰਿ ਏਕੋ ਨਾਮੁ ॥
संचण कउ हरि एको नामु ॥
Sanchaṇ ka▫o har éko naam.
I gather only the Lord’s Name.
|
ਹਲਤਿ ਪਲਤਿ ਤਾ ਕੈ ਆਵੈ ਕਾਮ ॥੧॥
हलति पलति ता कै आवै काम ॥१॥
Halaṫ palaṫ ṫaa kæ aavæ kaam. ||1||
It is useful in both this world and the next. ||1||
|
ਨਾਮਿ ਰਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਰੰਗਿ ਅਪਾਰ ॥
नामि रते प्रभ रंगि अपार ॥
Naam raṫé parabʰ rang apaar.
Imbued with the Love of the Lord God’s Infinite Name,
|
ਸਾਧ ਗਾਵਹਿ ਗੁਣ ਏਕ ਨਿਰੰਕਾਰ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
साध गावहि गुण एक निरंकार ॥ रहाउ ॥
Saaḋʰ gaavahi guṇ ék nirankaar. Rahaa▫o.
the Holy Saints sing the Glorious Praises of the One Lord, the Formless Lord. ||Pause||
|
ਸਾਧ ਕੀ ਸੋਭਾ ਅਤਿ ਮਸਕੀਨੀ ॥
साध की सोभा अति मसकीनी ॥
Saaḋʰ kee sobʰaa aṫ maskeenee.
The Glory of the Holy Saints comes from their total humility.
|
ਸੰਤ ਵਡਾਈ ਹਰਿ ਜਸੁ ਚੀਨੀ ॥
संत वडाई हरि जसु चीनी ॥
Sanṫ vadaa▫ee har jas cheenee.
The Saints realize that their greatness rests in the Praises of the Lord.
|
ਅਨਦੁ ਸੰਤਨ ਕੈ ਭਗਤਿ ਗੋਵਿੰਦ ॥
अनदु संतन कै भगति गोविंद ॥
Anaḋ sanṫan kæ bʰagaṫ govinḋ.
Meditating on the Lord of the Universe, the Saints are in bliss.
|
ਸੂਖੁ ਸੰਤਨ ਕੈ ਬਿਨਸੀ ਚਿੰਦ ॥੨॥
सूखु संतन कै बिनसी चिंद ॥२॥
Sookʰ sanṫan kæ binsee chinḋ. ||2||
The Saints find peace, and their anxieties are dispelled. ||2||
|
ਜਹ ਸਾਧ ਸੰਤਨ ਹੋਵਹਿ ਇਕਤ੍ਰ ॥
जह साध संतन होवहि इकत्र ॥
Jah saaḋʰ sanṫan hovėh ikaṫar.
Wherever the Holy Saints gather,
|
ਤਹ ਹਰਿ ਜਸੁ ਗਾਵਹਿ ਨਾਦ ਕਵਿਤ ॥
तह हरि जसु गावहि नाद कवित ॥
Ṫah har jas gaavahi naaḋ kaviṫ.
there they sing the Praises of the Lord, in music and poetry.
|
ਸਾਧ ਸਭਾ ਮਹਿ ਅਨਦ ਬਿਸ੍ਰਾਮ ॥
साध सभा महि अनद बिस्राम ॥
Saaḋʰ sabʰaa mėh anaḋ bisraam.
In the Society of the Saints, there is bliss and peace.
|
ਉਨ ਸੰਗੁ ਸੋ ਪਾਏ ਜਿਸੁ ਮਸਤਕਿ ਕਰਾਮ ॥੩॥
उन संगु सो पाए जिसु मसतकि कराम ॥३॥
Un sang so paa▫é jis masṫak karaam. ||3||
They alone obtain this Society, upon whose foreheads such destiny is written. ||3||
|
ਦੁਇ ਕਰ ਜੋੜਿ ਕਰੀ ਅਰਦਾਸਿ ॥
दुइ कर जोड़ि करी अरदासि ॥
Ḋu▫é kar joṛ karee arḋaas.
With my palms pressed together, I offer my prayer.
|
ਚਰਨ ਪਖਾਰਿ ਕਹਾਂ ਗੁਣਤਾਸ ॥
चरन पखारि कहां गुणतास ॥
Charan pakʰaar kahaaⁿ guṇṫaas.
I wash their feet, and chant the Praises of the Lord, the treasure of virtue.
|
ਪ੍ਰਭ ਦਇਆਲ ਕਿਰਪਾਲ ਹਜੂਰਿ ॥
प्रभ दइआल किरपाल हजूरि ॥
Parabʰ ḋa▫i▫aal kirpaal hajoor.
O God, merciful and compassionate, let me remain in Your Presence.
|
ਨਾਨਕੁ ਜੀਵੈ ਸੰਤਾ ਧੂਰਿ ॥੪॥੨॥੨੩॥
नानकु जीवै संता धूरि ॥४॥२॥२३॥
Naanak jeevæ sanṫaa ḋʰoor. ||4||2||23||
Nanak lives in the dust of the Saints. ||4||2||23||
