ਜੋ ਗੁਰਸਿਖ ਗੁਰੁ ਸੇਵਦੇ ਸੇ ਪੁੰਨ ਪਰਾਣੀ ॥
जो गुरसिख गुरु सेवदे से पुंन पराणी ॥
Jo gursikʰ gur sévḋé sé punn paraaṇee.
Those Sikhs of the Guru, who serve the Guru, are the most blessed beings.

ਜਨੁ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਤਿਨ ਕਉ ਵਾਰਿਆ ਸਦਾ ਸਦਾ ਕੁਰਬਾਣੀ ॥੧੦॥
जनु नानकु तिन कउ वारिआ सदा सदा कुरबाणी ॥१०॥
Jan Naanak ṫin ka▫o vaari▫aa saḋaa saḋaa kurbaaṇee. ||10||
Servant Nanak is a sacrifice to them; He is forever and ever a sacrifice. ||10||

ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਸਖੀ ਸਹੇਲੀਆ ਸੇ ਆਪਿ ਹਰਿ ਭਾਈਆ ॥
गुरमुखि सखी सहेलीआ से आपि हरि भाईआ ॥
Gurmukʰ sakʰee sahélee▫aa sé aap har bʰaa▫ee▫aa.
The Lord Himself is pleased with the Gurmukhs, the fellowship of the companions.

ਹਰਿ ਦਰਗਹ ਪੈਨਾਈਆ ਹਰਿ ਆਪਿ ਗਲਿ ਲਾਈਆ ॥੧੧॥
हरि दरगह पैनाईआ हरि आपि गलि लाईआ ॥११॥
Har ḋargėh pænaa▫ee▫aa har aap gal laa▫ee▫aa. ||11||
In the Lord’s Court, they are given robes of honor, and the Lord Himself hugs them close in His embrace. ||11||
|
ਜੋ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਇਦੇ ਤਿਨ ਦਰਸਨੁ ਦੀਜੈ ॥
जो गुरमुखि नामु धिआइदे तिन दरसनु दीजै ॥
Jo gurmukʰ naam ḋʰi▫aa▫iḋé ṫin ḋarsan ḋeejæ.
Please bless me with the Blessed Vision of the Darshan of those Gurmukhs, who meditate on the Naam, the Name of the Lord.

ਹਮ ਤਿਨ ਕੇ ਚਰਣ ਪਖਾਲਦੇ ਧੂੜਿ ਘੋਲਿ ਘੋਲਿ ਪੀਜੈ ॥੧੨॥
हम तिन के चरण पखालदे धूड़ि घोलि घोलि पीजै ॥१२॥
Ham ṫin ké charaṇ pakʰaalḋé ḋʰooṛ gʰol gʰol peejæ. ||12||
I wash their feet, and drink the dust of their feet, dissolved in the wash water. ||12||
|
ਪਾਨ ਸੁਪਾਰੀ ਖਾਤੀਆ ਮੁਖਿ ਬੀੜੀਆ ਲਾਈਆ ॥
पान सुपारी खातीआ मुखि बीड़ीआ लाईआ ॥
Paan supaaree kʰaaṫee▫aa mukʰ beeṛee▫aa laa▫ee▫aa.
Those who eat betel nuts and betel leaf and smoke crude cigarette,
|
ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਕਦੇ ਨ ਚੇਤਿਓ ਜਮਿ ਪਕੜਿ ਚਲਾਈਆ ॥੧੩॥
हरि हरि कदे न चेतिओ जमि पकड़ि चलाईआ ॥१३॥
Har har kaḋé na chéṫi▫o jam pakaṛ chalaa▫ee▫aa. ||13||
but do not contemplate the Lord, Har, Har - the Messenger of Death will seize them and take them away. ||13||
|
ਜਿਨ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮਾ ਹਰਿ ਚੇਤਿਆ ਹਿਰਦੈ ਉਰਿ ਧਾਰੇ ॥
जिन हरि नामा हरि चेतिआ हिरदै उरि धारे ॥
Jin har naamaa har chéṫi▫aa hirḋæ ur ḋʰaaré.
Ones who contemplate on the Name of the Lord, Har, Har, and keep Him enshrined in their hearts,

ਤਿਨ ਜਮੁ ਨੇੜਿ ਨ ਆਵਈ ਗੁਰਸਿਖ ਗੁਰ ਪਿਆਰੇ ॥੧੪॥
तिन जमु नेड़ि न आवई गुरसिख गुर पिआरे ॥१४॥
Ṫin jam néṛ na aavee gursikʰ gur pi▫aaré. ||14||
the Messenger of Death does not even approach them; O, the Guru’s Sikhs are the Guru’s beloved ones! ||14||
|
ਹਰਿ ਕਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਨਿਧਾਨੁ ਹੈ ਕੋਈ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਜਾਣੈ ॥
हरि का नामु निधानु है कोई गुरमुखि जाणै ॥
Har kaa naam niḋʰaan hæ ko▫ee gurmukʰ jaaṇæ.
The Name of the Lord is a treasure, known only to the few Gurmukhs.
|
ਨਾਨਕ ਜਿਨ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਭੇਟਿਆ ਰੰਗਿ ਰਲੀਆ ਮਾਣੈ ॥੧੫॥
नानक जिन सतिगुरु भेटिआ रंगि रलीआ माणै ॥१५॥
Naanak jin saṫgur bʰéti▫aa rang ralee▫aa maaṇæ. ||15||
O Nanak! Those who meet with the True Guru, enjoy peace and pleasure. ||15||

ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਦਾਤਾ ਆਖੀਐ ਤੁਸਿ ਕਰੇ ਪਸਾਓ ॥
सतिगुरु दाता आखीऐ तुसि करे पसाओ ॥
Saṫgur ḋaaṫaa aakʰee▫æ ṫus karé pasaa▫o.
The True Guru is called the Giver; in His Mercy, He grants His Grace.

ਹਉ ਗੁਰ ਵਿਟਹੁ ਸਦ ਵਾਰਿਆ ਜਿਨਿ ਦਿਤੜਾ ਨਾਓ ॥੧੬॥
हउ गुर विटहु सद वारिआ जिनि दितड़ा नाओ ॥१६॥
Ha▫o gur vitahu saḋ vaari▫aa jin ḋiṫ▫ṛaa naa▫o. ||16||
I am forever a sacrifice to the Guru, who has blessed me with the Lord’s Name. ||16||
|
ਸੋ ਧੰਨੁ ਗੁਰੂ ਸਾਬਾਸਿ ਹੈ ਹਰਿ ਦੇਇ ਸਨੇਹਾ ॥
सो धंनु गुरू साबासि है हरि देइ सनेहा ॥
So ḋʰan guroo saabaas hæ har ḋé▫é sanéhaa.
Blessed, very blessed is the Guru, who brings the Lord’s message.

ਹਉ ਵੇਖਿ ਵੇਖਿ ਗੁਰੂ ਵਿਗਸਿਆ ਗੁਰ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਦੇਹਾ ॥੧੭॥
हउ वेखि वेखि गुरू विगसिआ गुर सतिगुर देहा ॥१७॥
Ha▫o vékʰ vékʰ guroo vigsi▫aa gur saṫgur ḋéhaa. ||17||
I gaze upon the Guru, the Guru, the True Guru embodied, and I blossom forth in bliss. ||17||

ਗੁਰ ਰਸਨਾ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਬੋਲਦੀ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮਿ ਸੁਹਾਵੀ ॥
गुर रसना अमृतु बोलदी हरि नामि सुहावी ॥
Gur rasnaa amriṫ bolḋee har naam suhaavee.
The Guru’s tongue recites Words of Ambrosial Nectar; He is adorned with the Lord’s Name.

ਜਿਨ ਸੁਣਿ ਸਿਖਾ ਗੁਰੁ ਮੰਨਿਆ ਤਿਨਾ ਭੁਖ ਸਭ ਜਾਵੀ ॥੧੮॥
जिन सुणि सिखा गुरु मंनिआ तिना भुख सभ जावी ॥१८॥
Jin suṇ sikʰaa gur mani▫aa ṫinaa bʰukʰ sabʰ jaavee. ||18||
Those Sikhs who hear and obey the Guru - all their desires depart. ||18||
|
ਹਰਿ ਕਾ ਮਾਰਗੁ ਆਖੀਐ ਕਹੁ ਕਿਤੁ ਬਿਧਿ ਜਾਈਐ ॥
हरि का मारगु आखीऐ कहु कितु बिधि जाईऐ ॥
Har kaa maarag aakʰee▫æ kaho kiṫ biḋʰ jaa▫ee▫æ.
Some speak of the Lord’s Path; tell me, how can I walk on it?
|
ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਤੇਰਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਹੈ ਹਰਿ ਖਰਚੁ ਲੈ ਜਾਈਐ ॥੧੯॥
हरि हरि तेरा नामु है हरि खरचु लै जाईऐ ॥१९॥
Har har ṫéraa naam hæ har kʰarach læ jaa▫ee▫æ. ||19||
O Lord, Har, Har, Your Name is my supplies; I will take it with me and set out. ||19||
|
ਜਿਨ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਹਰਿ ਆਰਾਧਿਆ ਸੇ ਸਾਹ ਵਡ ਦਾਣੇ ॥
जिन गुरमुखि हरि आराधिआ से साह वड दाणे ॥
Jin gurmukʰ har aaraaḋʰi▫aa sé saah vad ḋaaṇé.
Those Gurmukhs who worship and adore the Lord, are wealthy and very wise.
|
ਹਉ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਕਉ ਸਦ ਵਾਰਿਆ ਗੁਰ ਬਚਨਿ ਸਮਾਣੇ ॥੨੦॥
हउ सतिगुर कउ सद वारिआ गुर बचनि समाणे ॥२०॥
Ha▫o saṫgur ka▫o saḋ vaari▫aa gur bachan samaaṇé. ||20||
I am forever a sacrifice to the True Guru; I am absorbed in the Words of the Guru’s Teachings. ||20||

ਤੂ ਠਾਕੁਰੁ ਤੂ ਸਾਹਿਬੋ ਤੂਹੈ ਮੇਰਾ ਮੀਰਾ ॥
तू ठाकुरु तू साहिबो तूहै मेरा मीरा ॥
Ṫoo tʰaakur ṫoo saahibo ṫoohæ méraa meeraa.
You are the Master, my Lord and Master; You are my Ruler and King.
|
ਤੁਧੁ ਭਾਵੈ ਤੇਰੀ ਬੰਦਗੀ ਤੂ ਗੁਣੀ ਗਹੀਰਾ ॥੨੧॥
तुधु भावै तेरी बंदगी तू गुणी गहीरा ॥२१॥
Ṫuḋʰ bʰaavæ ṫéree banḋagee ṫoo guṇee gaheeraa. ||21||
If it is pleasing to Your Will, then I worship and serve You; You are the treasure of virtue. ||21||
|
ਆਪੇ ਹਰਿ ਇਕ ਰੰਗੁ ਹੈ ਆਪੇ ਬਹੁ ਰੰਗੀ ॥
आपे हरि इक रंगु है आपे बहु रंगी ॥
Aapé har ik rang hæ aapé baho rangee.
The Lord Himself is absolute; He is The One and Only; but He Himself is also manifested in many forms.

ਜੋ ਤਿਸੁ ਭਾਵੈ ਨਾਨਕਾ ਸਾਈ ਗਲ ਚੰਗੀ ॥੨੨॥੨॥
जो तिसु भावै नानका साई गल चंगी ॥२२॥२॥
Jo ṫis bʰaavæ naankaa saa▫ee gal changee. ||22||2||
Whatever pleases Him, O Nanak! That alone is good. ||22||2||

Tilang, Ninth Mehl, Kaafee:

ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥
ੴ सतिगुर प्रसादि ॥
Ik▫oaⁿkaar saṫgur parsaaḋ.
One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru:

ਚੇਤਨਾ ਹੈ ਤਉ ਚੇਤ ਲੈ ਨਿਸਿ ਦਿਨਿ ਮੈ ਪ੍ਰਾਨੀ ॥
चेतना है तउ चेत लै निसि दिनि मै प्रानी ॥
Chéṫnaa hæ ṫa▫o chéṫ læ nis ḋin mæ paraanee.
If you are conscious, then be conscious of Him night and day, O mortal.

ਛਿਨੁ ਛਿਨੁ ਅਉਧ ਬਿਹਾਤੁ ਹੈ ਫੂਟੈ ਘਟ ਜਿਉ ਪਾਨੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
छिनु छिनु अउध बिहातु है फूटै घट जिउ पानी ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Chʰin chʰin a▫oḋʰ bihaaṫ hæ footæ gʰat ji▫o paanee. ||1|| rahaa▫o.
Each and every moment, your life is passing away, like water from a cracked pitcher. ||1||Pause||
|
ਹਰਿ ਗੁਨ ਕਾਹਿ ਨ ਗਾਵਹੀ ਮੂਰਖ ਅਗਿਆਨਾ ॥
हरि गुन काहि न गावही मूरख अगिआना ॥
Har gun kaahi na gaavhee moorakʰ agi▫aanaa.
Why do you not sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord, you ignorant fool?
|
ਝੂਠੈ ਲਾਲਚਿ ਲਾਗਿ ਕੈ ਨਹਿ ਮਰਨੁ ਪਛਾਨਾ ॥੧॥
झूठै लालचि लागि कै नहि मरनु पछाना ॥१॥
Jʰootʰæ laalach laag kæ nėh maran pachʰaanaa. ||1||
You are attached to false greed, and you do not even consider death. ||1||
|
ਅਜਹੂ ਕਛੁ ਬਿਗਰਿਓ ਨਹੀ ਜੋ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਗੁਨ ਗਾਵੈ ॥
अजहू कछु बिगरिओ नही जो प्रभ गुन गावै ॥
Ajhoo kachʰ bigri▫o nahee jo parabʰ gun gaavæ.
Even now, no harm has been done, if you will only sing God’s Praises.

ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਤਿਹ ਭਜਨ ਤੇ ਨਿਰਭੈ ਪਦੁ ਪਾਵੈ ॥੨॥੧॥
कहु नानक तिह भजन ते निरभै पदु पावै ॥२॥१॥
Kaho Naanak ṫih bʰajan ṫé nirbʰæ paḋ paavæ. ||2||1||
Says Nanak, by meditating and vibrating upon Him, you shall obtain the state of fearlessness. ||2||1||

ਤਿਲੰਗ ਮਹਲਾ ੯ ॥
तिलंग महला ९ ॥
Ṫilang mėhlaa 9.
Tilang, Ninth Mehl:

ਜਾਗ ਲੇਹੁ ਰੇ ਮਨਾ ਜਾਗ ਲੇਹੁ ਕਹਾ ਗਾਫਲ ਸੋਇਆ ॥
जाग लेहु रे मना जाग लेहु कहा गाफल सोइआ ॥
Jaag lého ré manaa jaag lého kahaa gaafal so▫i▫aa.
Wake up, O mind! Wake up! Why are you sleeping unaware?

ਜੋ ਤਨੁ ਉਪਜਿਆ ਸੰਗ ਹੀ ਸੋ ਭੀ ਸੰਗਿ ਨ ਹੋਇਆ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
जो तनु उपजिआ संग ही सो भी संगि न होइआ ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Jo ṫan upji▫aa sang hee so bʰee sang na ho▫i▫aa. ||1|| rahaa▫o.
That body, which you were born with, shall not go along with you in the end. ||1||Pause||
|
ਮਾਤ ਪਿਤਾ ਸੁਤ ਬੰਧ ਜਨ ਹਿਤੁ ਜਾ ਸਿਉ ਕੀਨਾ ॥
मात पिता सुत बंध जन हितु जा सिउ कीना ॥
Maaṫ piṫaa suṫ banḋʰ jan hiṫ jaa si▫o keenaa.
Mother, father, children and relatives whom you love,
|
ਜੀਉ ਛੂਟਿਓ ਜਬ ਦੇਹ ਤੇ ਡਾਰਿ ਅਗਨਿ ਮੈ ਦੀਨਾ ॥੧॥
जीउ छूटिओ जब देह ते डारि अगनि मै दीना ॥१॥
Jee▫o chʰooti▫o jab ḋéh ṫé daar agan mæ ḋeenaa. ||1||
will throw your body into the fire, when your soul departs from it. ||1||
