ਸੋ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਅਪੁਨਾ ਸਦਾ ਧਿਆਈਐ ਸੋਵਤ ਬੈਸਤ ਖਲਿਆ ॥
सो प्रभु अपुना सदा धिआईऐ सोवत बैसत खलिआ ॥
So parabʰ apunaa saḋaa ḋʰi▫aa▫ee▫æ sovaṫ bæsaṫ kʰali▫aa.
Meditate forever on your God, when you sleep and sit and stand.

ਗੁਣ ਨਿਧਾਨ ਸੁਖ ਸਾਗਰ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਜਲਿ ਥਲਿ ਮਹੀਅਲਿ ਸੋਈ ॥
गुण निधान सुख सागर सुआमी जलि थलि महीअलि सोई ॥
Guṇ niḋʰaan sukʰ saagar su▫aamee jal ṫʰal mahee▫al so▫ee.
The Lord and Master is the treasure of virtue, the ocean of peace; He pervades the water, the land and the sky.

ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਕੀ ਸਰਣਾਈ ਤਿਸੁ ਬਿਨੁ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਕੋਈ ॥੩॥
जन नानक प्रभ की सरणाई तिसु बिनु अवरु न कोई ॥३॥
Jan Naanak parabʰ kee sarṇaa▫ee ṫis bin avar na ko▫ee. ||3||
Servant Nanak has entered God’s Sanctuary; there is none other than Him. ||3||

ਮੇਰਾ ਘਰੁ ਬਨਿਆ ਬਨੁ ਤਾਲੁ ਬਨਿਆ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਪਰਸੇ ਹਰਿ ਰਾਇਆ ਰਾਮ ॥
मेरा घरु बनिआ बनु तालु बनिआ प्रभ परसे हरि राइआ राम ॥
Méraa gʰar bani▫aa ban ṫaal bani▫aa parabʰ parsé har raa▫i▫aa raam.
My home is made, the garden and pool are made, and my Sovereign Lord God has met me.

ਮੇਰਾ ਮਨੁ ਸੋਹਿਆ ਮੀਤ ਸਾਜਨ ਸਰਸੇ ਗੁਣ ਮੰਗਲ ਹਰਿ ਗਾਇਆ ਰਾਮ ॥
मेरा मनु सोहिआ मीत साजन सरसे गुण मंगल हरि गाइआ राम ॥
Méraa man sohi▫aa meeṫ saajan sarsé guṇ mangal har gaa▫i▫aa raam.
My mind is adorned, and my friends rejoice; I sing the songs of joy, and the Glorious Praises of the Lord.

ਗੁਣ ਗਾਇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਧਿਆਇ ਸਾਚਾ ਸਗਲ ਇਛਾ ਪਾਈਆ ॥
गुण गाइ प्रभू धिआइ साचा सगल इछा पाईआ ॥
Guṇ gaa▫é parabʰoo ḋʰi▫aa▫é saachaa sagal ichʰaa paa▫ee▫aa.
Singing the Glorious Praises of the True Lord God, all desires are fulfilled.

ਗੁਰ ਚਰਣ ਲਾਗੇ ਸਦਾ ਜਾਗੇ ਮਨਿ ਵਜੀਆ ਵਾਧਾਈਆ ॥
गुर चरण लागे सदा जागे मनि वजीआ वाधाईआ ॥
Gur charaṇ laagé saḋaa jaagé man vajee▫aa vaaḋʰaa▫ee▫aa.
Those who are attached to the Guru’s Feet are always awake and aware; His Praises resound and resonate through their minds.

ਕਰੀ ਨਦਰਿ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਸੁਖਹ ਗਾਮੀ ਹਲਤੁ ਪਲਤੁ ਸਵਾਰਿਆ ॥
करी नदरि सुआमी सुखह गामी हलतु पलतु सवारिआ ॥
Karee naḋar su▫aamee sukʰah gaamee halaṫ palaṫ savaari▫aa.
My Lord and Master, the bringer of peace, has blessed me with His Grace; He has arranged this world, and the world hereafter for me.

ਬਿਨਵੰਤਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਨਿਤ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪੀਐ ਜੀਉ ਪਿੰਡੁ ਜਿਨਿ ਧਾਰਿਆ ॥੪॥੪॥੭॥
बिनवंति नानक नित नामु जपीऐ जीउ पिंडु जिनि धारिआ ॥४॥४॥७॥
Binvanṫ Naanak niṫ naam japee▫æ jee▫o pind jin ḋʰaari▫aa. ||4||4||7||
Prays Nanak, chant the Naam, the Name of the Lord forever; He is the Support of the body and soul. ||4||4||7||

ਭੈ ਸਾਗਰੋ ਭੈ ਸਾਗਰੁ ਤਰਿਆ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਧਿਆਏ ਰਾਮ ॥
भै सागरो भै सागरु तरिआ हरि हरि नामु धिआए राम ॥
Bʰæ saagro bʰæ saagar ṫari▫aa har har naam ḋʰi▫aa▫é raam.
The terrifying world-ocean, the terrifying world-ocean - I have crossed over it, meditating on the Naam, the Name of the Lord, Har, Har.

ਬੋਹਿਥੜਾ ਹਰਿ ਚਰਣ ਅਰਾਧੇ ਮਿਲਿ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪਾਰਿ ਲਘਾਏ ਰਾਮ ॥
बोहिथड़ा हरि चरण अराधे मिलि सतिगुर पारि लघाए राम ॥
Bohiṫʰṛaa har charaṇ araaḋʰé mil saṫgur paar lagʰaa▫é raam.
I worship and adore the Lord’s Feet, the boat to carry me across. Meeting the True Guru, I am carried over.

ਗੁਰ ਸਬਦੀ ਤਰੀਐ ਬਹੁੜਿ ਨ ਮਰੀਐ ਚੂਕੈ ਆਵਣ ਜਾਣਾ ॥
गुर सबदी तरीऐ बहुड़ि न मरीऐ चूकै आवण जाणा ॥
Gur sabḋee ṫaree▫æ bahuṛ na maree▫æ chookæ aavaṇ jaaṇaa.
Through the Word of the Guru’s Shabad, I cross over, and I shall not die again; my comings and goings are ended.

ਜੋ ਕਿਛੁ ਕਰੈ ਸੋਈ ਭਲ ਮਾਨਉ ਤਾ ਮਨੁ ਸਹਜਿ ਸਮਾਣਾ ॥
जो किछु करै सोई भल मानउ ता मनु सहजि समाणा ॥
Jo kichʰ karæ so▫ee bʰal maan▫o ṫaa man sahj samaaṇaa.
Whatever He does, I accept as good, and my mind merges in celestial peace.

ਦੂਖ ਨ ਭੂਖ ਨ ਰੋਗੁ ਨ ਬਿਆਪੈ ਸੁਖ ਸਾਗਰ ਸਰਣੀ ਪਾਏ ॥
दूख न भूख न रोगु न बिआपै सुख सागर सरणी पाए ॥
Ḋookʰ na bʰookʰ na rog na bi▫aapæ sukʰ saagar sarṇee paa▫é.
Neither pain, nor hunger, nor disease afflicts me. I have found the Sanctuary of the Lord, the ocean of peace.

ਹਰਿ ਸਿਮਰਿ ਸਿਮਰਿ ਨਾਨਕ ਰੰਗਿ ਰਾਤਾ ਮਨ ਕੀ ਚਿੰਤ ਮਿਟਾਏ ॥੧॥
हरि सिमरि सिमरि नानक रंगि राता मन की चिंत मिटाए ॥१॥
Har simar simar Naanak rang raaṫaa man kee chinṫ mitaa▫é. ||1||
Meditating, meditating in remembrance of the Lord, Nanak is imbued with His Love; his mind’s anxieties are dispelled. ||1||

ਸੰਤ ਜਨਾ ਹਰਿ ਮੰਤ੍ਰੁ ਦ੍ਰਿੜਾਇਆ ਹਰਿ ਸਾਜਨ ਵਸਗਤਿ ਕੀਨੇ ਰਾਮ ॥
संत जना हरि मंत्रु द्रिड़ाइआ हरि साजन वसगति कीने राम ॥
Sanṫ janaa har manṫar driṛ▫aa▫i▫aa har saajan vasgaṫ keené raam.
The humble Saints have implanted the Lord’s Mantra within me, and the Lord, my Best Friend, has come under my power.

ਆਪਨੜਾ ਮਨੁ ਆਗੈ ਧਰਿਆ ਸਰਬਸੁ ਠਾਕੁਰਿ ਦੀਨੇ ਰਾਮ ॥
आपनड़ा मनु आगै धरिआ सरबसु ठाकुरि दीने राम ॥
Aapnaṛaa man aagæ ḋʰari▫aa sarbas tʰaakur ḋeené raam.
I have dedicated my mind to my Lord and Master, and offered it to Him, and He has blessed me with everything.

ਕਰਿ ਅਪੁਨੀ ਦਾਸੀ ਮਿਟੀ ਉਦਾਸੀ ਹਰਿ ਮੰਦਰਿ ਥਿਤਿ ਪਾਈ ॥
करि अपुनी दासी मिटी उदासी हरि मंदरि थिति पाई ॥
Kar apunee ḋaasee mitee uḋaasee har manḋar ṫʰiṫ paa▫ee.
He has made me His hand-maiden and slave; my sadness is dispelled, and in the Lord’s Temple, I have found stability.

ਅਨਦ ਬਿਨੋਦ ਸਿਮਰਹੁ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਸਾਚਾ ਵਿਛੁੜਿ ਕਬਹੂ ਨ ਜਾਈ ॥
अनद बिनोद सिमरहु प्रभु साचा विछुड़ि कबहू न जाई ॥
Anaḋ binoḋ simrahu parabʰ saachaa vichʰuṛ kabhoo na jaa▫ee.
My joy and bliss are in meditating on my True God; I shall never be separated from Him again.

ਸਾ ਵਡਭਾਗਣਿ ਸਦਾ ਸੋਹਾਗਣਿ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮ ਗੁਣ ਚੀਨੑੇ ॥
सा वडभागणि सदा सोहागणि राम नाम गुण चीन्हे ॥
Saa vadbʰaagaṇ saḋaa sohagaṇ raam naam guṇ cheenĥé.
She alone is very fortunate, and a true soul-bride, who contemplates the Glorious Vision of the Lord’s Name.

ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਰਵਹਿ ਰੰਗਿ ਰਾਤੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਮ ਮਹਾ ਰਸਿ ਭੀਨੇ ॥੨॥
कहु नानक रवहि रंगि राते प्रेम महा रसि भीने ॥२॥
Kaho Naanak ravėh rang raaṫé parém mahaa ras bʰeené. ||2||
Says Nanak, I am imbued with His Love, drenched in the supreme, sublime essence of His Love. ||2||

ਅਨਦ ਬਿਨੋਦ ਭਏ ਨਿਤ ਸਖੀਏ ਮੰਗਲ ਸਦਾ ਹਮਾਰੈ ਰਾਮ ॥
अनद बिनोद भए नित सखीए मंगल सदा हमारै राम ॥
Anaḋ binoḋ bʰa▫é niṫ sakʰee▫é mangal saḋaa hamaaræ raam.
I am in continual bliss and ecstasy, O my companions; I sing the songs of joy forever.
|
ਆਪਨੜੈ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਆਪਿ ਸੀਗਾਰੀ ਸੋਭਾਵੰਤੀ ਨਾਰੇ ਰਾਮ ॥
आपनड़ै प्रभि आपि सीगारी सोभावंती नारे राम ॥
Aapnaṛæ parabʰ aap seegaaree sobʰaavanṫee naaré raam.
God Himself has embellished her, and she has become His virtuous soul-bride.

ਸਹਜ ਸੁਭਾਇ ਭਏ ਕਿਰਪਾਲਾ ਗੁਣ ਅਵਗਣ ਨ ਬੀਚਾਰਿਆ ॥
सहज सुभाइ भए किरपाला गुण अवगण न बीचारिआ ॥
Sahj subʰaa▫é bʰa▫é kirpaalaa guṇ avgaṇ na beechaari▫aa.
With natural ease, He has become Merciful to her. He does not consider her merits or demerits.
|
ਕੰਠਿ ਲਗਾਇ ਲੀਏ ਜਨ ਅਪੁਨੇ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮ ਉਰਿ ਧਾਰਿਆ ॥
कंठि लगाइ लीए जन अपुने राम नाम उरि धारिआ ॥
Kantʰ lagaa▫é lee▫é jan apuné raam naam ur ḋʰaari▫aa.
He hugs His humble servants close in His Loving Embrace; they enshrine the Lord’s Name in their hearts.

ਮਾਨ ਮੋਹ ਮਦ ਸਗਲ ਬਿਆਪੀ ਕਰਿ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਆਪਿ ਨਿਵਾਰੇ ॥
मान मोह मद सगल बिआपी करि किरपा आपि निवारे ॥
Maan moh maḋ sagal bi▫aapee kar kirpaa aap nivaaré.
Everyone is engrossed in arrogant pride, attachment and intoxication; in His Mercy, He has freed me of them.
|
ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਭੈ ਸਾਗਰੁ ਤਰਿਆ ਪੂਰਨ ਕਾਜ ਹਮਾਰੇ ॥੩॥
कहु नानक भै सागरु तरिआ पूरन काज हमारे ॥३॥
Kaho Naanak bʰæ saagar ṫari▫aa pooran kaaj hamaaré. ||3||
Says Nanak, I have crossed over the terrifying world-ocean, and all my affairs are perfectly resolved. ||3||

ਗੁਣ ਗੋਪਾਲ ਗਾਵਹੁ ਨਿਤ ਸਖੀਹੋ ਸਗਲ ਮਨੋਰਥ ਪਾਏ ਰਾਮ ॥
गुण गोपाल गावहु नित सखीहो सगल मनोरथ पाए राम ॥
Guṇ gopaal gaavhu niṫ sakʰeeho sagal manoraṫʰ paa▫é raam.
Continually sing the Glorious Praises of the World-Lord, O my companions; all your wishes shall be granted.

ਸਫਲ ਜਨਮੁ ਹੋਆ ਮਿਲਿ ਸਾਧੂ ਏਕੰਕਾਰੁ ਧਿਆਏ ਰਾਮ ॥
सफल जनमु होआ मिलि साधू एकंकारु धिआए राम ॥
Safal janam ho▫aa mil saaḋʰoo ékankaar ḋʰi▫aa▫é raam.
Life becomes fruitful, meeting with the Holy Saints, and meditating on the One God, the Creator of the Universe.

ਜਪਿ ਏਕ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਅਨੇਕ ਰਵਿਆ ਸਰਬ ਮੰਡਲਿ ਛਾਇਆ ॥
जपि एक प्रभू अनेक रविआ सरब मंडलि छाइआ ॥
Jap ék parabʰoo anék ravi▫aa sarab mandal chʰaa▫i▫aa.
Chant, and meditate on the One God, who permeates and pervades the many beings of the whole Universe.

ਬ੍ਰਹਮੋ ਪਸਾਰਾ ਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਪਸਰਿਆ ਸਭੁ ਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਦ੍ਰਿਸਟੀ ਆਇਆ ॥
ब्रहमो पसारा ब्रहमु पसरिआ सभु ब्रहमु द्रिसटी आइआ ॥
Barahmo pasaaraa barahm pasri▫aa sabʰ barahm ḋaristee aa▫i▫aa.
God created it, and God spreads through it everywhere. Everywhere I look, I see God.

ਜਲਿ ਥਲਿ ਮਹੀਅਲਿ ਪੂਰਿ ਪੂਰਨ ਤਿਸੁ ਬਿਨਾ ਨਹੀ ਜਾਏ ॥
जलि थलि महीअलि पूरि पूरन तिसु बिना नही जाए ॥
Jal ṫʰal mahee▫al poor pooran ṫis binaa nahee jaa▫é.
The Perfect Lord is perfectly pervading and permeating the water, the land and the sky; there is no place without Him.
