ਏਹੁ ਜੋਗੁ ਨ ਹੋਵੈ ਜੋਗੀ ਜਿ ਕੁਟੰਬੁ ਛੋਡਿ ਪਰਭਵਣੁ ਕਰਹਿ ॥
एहु जोगु न होवै जोगी जि कुट्मबु छोडि परभवणु करहि ॥
Éhu jog na hovæ jogee jė kutamb chʰod parbʰavaṇ karahi.
This is not Yoga, O Yogi, to abandon your family and wander around.

ਗ੍ਰਿਹ ਸਰੀਰ ਮਹਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦੀ ਅਪਣਾ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਲਹਹਿ ॥੮॥
ग्रिह सरीर महि हरि हरि नामु गुर परसादी अपणा हरि प्रभु लहहि ॥८॥
Garih sareer mėh har har naam gur parsaadee apṇaa har parabʰ lahėh. ||8||
The Name of the Lord, Har, Har, is within the household of the body. By Guru’s Grace, you shall find your Lord God. ||8||

ਇਹੁ ਜਗਤੁ ਮਿਟੀ ਕਾ ਪੁਤਲਾ ਜੋਗੀ ਇਸੁ ਮਹਿ ਰੋਗੁ ਵਡਾ ਤ੍ਰਿਸਨਾ ਮਾਇਆ ॥
इहु जगतु मिटी का पुतला जोगी इसु महि रोगु वडा त्रिसना माइआ ॥
Ih jagaṫ mitee kaa puṫlaa jogee is mėh rog vadaa ṫarisnaa maa▫i▫aa.
This world is a puppet of clay, Yogi; the terrible disease, the desire for Maya is in it.

ਅਨੇਕ ਜਤਨ ਭੇਖ ਕਰੇ ਜੋਗੀ ਰੋਗੁ ਨ ਜਾਇ ਗਵਾਇਆ ॥੯॥
अनेक जतन भेख करे जोगी रोगु न जाइ गवाइआ ॥९॥
Anék jaṫan bʰékʰ karé jogee rog na jaa▫é gavaa▫i▫aa. ||9||
Making all sorts of efforts, and wearing religious robes, Yogi, this disease cannot be cured. ||9||

ਹਰਿ ਕਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਅਉਖਧੁ ਹੈ ਜੋਗੀ ਜਿਸ ਨੋ ਮੰਨਿ ਵਸਾਏ ॥
हरि का नामु अउखधु है जोगी जिस नो मंनि वसाए ॥
Har kaa naam a▫ukʰaḋʰ hæ jogee jis no man vasaa▫é.
The Name of the Lord is the medicine, Yogi; the Lord enshrines it in the mind.

ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਹੋਵੈ ਸੋਈ ਬੂਝੈ ਜੋਗ ਜੁਗਤਿ ਸੋ ਪਾਏ ॥੧੦॥
गुरमुखि होवै सोई बूझै जोग जुगति सो पाए ॥१०॥
Gurmukʰ hovæ so▫ee boojʰæ jog jugaṫ so paa▫é. ||10||
One who becomes Gurmukh understands this; he alone finds the Way of Yoga. ||10||
|
ਜੋਗੈ ਕਾ ਮਾਰਗੁ ਬਿਖਮੁ ਹੈ ਜੋਗੀ ਜਿਸ ਨੋ ਨਦਰਿ ਕਰੇ ਸੋ ਪਾਏ ॥
जोगै का मारगु बिखमु है जोगी जिस नो नदरि करे सो पाए ॥
Jogæ kaa maarag bikʰam hæ jogee jis no naḋar karé so paa▫é.
The Path of Yoga is very difficult, Yogi; he alone finds it, whom God blesses with His Grace.

ਅੰਤਰਿ ਬਾਹਰਿ ਏਕੋ ਵੇਖੈ ਵਿਚਹੁ ਭਰਮੁ ਚੁਕਾਏ ॥੧੧॥
अंतरि बाहरि एको वेखै विचहु भरमु चुकाए ॥११॥
Anṫar baahar éko vékʰæ vichahu bʰaram chukaa▫é. ||11||
Inside and outside, he sees the One Lord; he eliminates doubt from within himself. ||11||

ਵਿਣੁ ਵਜਾਈ ਕਿੰਗੁਰੀ ਵਾਜੈ ਜੋਗੀ ਸਾ ਕਿੰਗੁਰੀ ਵਜਾਇ ॥
विणु वजाई किंगुरी वाजै जोगी सा किंगुरी वजाइ ॥
viṇ vajaa▫ee kinguree vaajæ jogee saa kinguree vajaa▫é.
So, play the harp which vibrates without being played, Yogi.

ਕਹੈ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਮੁਕਤਿ ਹੋਵਹਿ ਜੋਗੀ ਸਾਚੇ ਰਹਹਿ ਸਮਾਇ ॥੧੨॥੧॥੧੦॥
कहै नानकु मुकति होवहि जोगी साचे रहहि समाइ ॥१२॥१॥१०॥
Kahæ Naanak mukaṫ hovėh jogee saaché rahėh samaa▫é. ||12||1||10||
Says Nanak, thus, you shall be liberated, Yogi, and remain merged in the True Lord. ||12||1||10||

ਭਗਤਿ ਖਜਾਨਾ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਜਾਤਾ ਸਤਿਗੁਰਿ ਬੂਝਿ ਬੁਝਾਈ ॥੧॥
भगति खजाना गुरमुखि जाता सतिगुरि बूझि बुझाई ॥१॥
Bʰagaṫ kʰajaanaa gurmukʰ jaaṫaa saṫgur boojʰ bujʰaa▫ee. ||1||
The treasure of devotional worship is revealed to the Gurmukh; the True Guru has inspired me to understand this understanding. ||1||
|
ਸੰਤਹੁ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਦੇਇ ਵਡਿਆਈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
संतहु गुरमुखि देइ वडिआई ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Sanṫahu gurmukʰ ḋé▫é vadi▫aa▫ee. ||1|| rahaa▫o.
O Saints, the Gurmukh is blessed with glorious greatness. ||1||Pause||

ਸਚਿ ਰਹਹੁ ਸਦਾ ਸਹਜੁ ਸੁਖੁ ਉਪਜੈ ਕਾਮੁ ਕ੍ਰੋਧੁ ਵਿਚਹੁ ਜਾਈ ॥੨॥
सचि रहहु सदा सहजु सुखु उपजै कामु क्रोधु विचहु जाई ॥२॥
Sach rahhu saḋaa sahj sukʰ upjæ kaam kroḋʰ vichahu jaa▫ee. ||2||
Dwelling always in Truth, celestial peace wells up; sexual desire and anger are eliminated from within. ||2||
|
ਆਪੁ ਛੋਡਿ ਨਾਮ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਗੀ ਮਮਤਾ ਸਬਦਿ ਜਲਾਈ ॥੩॥
आपु छोडि नाम लिव लागी ममता सबदि जलाई ॥३॥
Aap chʰod naam liv laagee mamṫaa sabaḋ jalaa▫ee. ||3||
Eradicating self-conceit, remain lovingly focused on the Naam, the Name of the Lord; through the Word of the Shabad, burn away possessiveness. ||3||
|
ਜਿਸ ਤੇ ਉਪਜੈ ਤਿਸ ਤੇ ਬਿਨਸੈ ਅੰਤੇ ਨਾਮੁ ਸਖਾਈ ॥੪॥
जिस ते उपजै तिस ते बिनसै अंते नामु सखाई ॥४॥
Jis ṫé upjæ ṫis ṫé binsæ anṫé naam sakʰaa▫ee. ||4||
By Him we are created, and by Him we are destroyed; in the end, the Naam will be our only help and support. ||4||
|
ਸਦਾ ਹਜੂਰਿ ਦੂਰਿ ਨਹ ਦੇਖਹੁ ਰਚਨਾ ਜਿਨਿ ਰਚਾਈ ॥੫॥
सदा हजूरि दूरि नह देखहु रचना जिनि रचाई ॥५॥
Saḋaa hajoor ḋoor nah ḋékʰhu rachnaa jin rachaa▫ee. ||5||
He is ever-present; don’t think that He is far away. He created the creation. ||5||
|
ਸਚਾ ਸਬਦੁ ਰਵੈ ਘਟ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਸਚੇ ਸਿਉ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਈ ॥੬॥
सचा सबदु रवै घट अंतरि सचे सिउ लिव लाई ॥६॥
Sachaa sabaḋ ravæ gʰat anṫar saché si▫o liv laa▫ee. ||6||
Deep within your heart, chant the True Word of the Shabad; remain lovingly absorbed in the True Lord. ||6||
|
ਸਤਸੰਗਤਿ ਮਹਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਨਿਰਮੋਲਕੁ ਵਡੈ ਭਾਗਿ ਪਾਇਆ ਜਾਈ ॥੭॥
सतसंगति महि नामु निरमोलकु वडै भागि पाइआ जाई ॥७॥
Saṫsangaṫ mėh naam nirmolak vadæ bʰaag paa▫i▫aa jaa▫ee. ||7||
The Priceless Naam is in the Society of the Saints; by great good fortune, it is obtained. ||7||
|
ਭਰਮਿ ਨ ਭੂਲਹੁ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਸੇਵਹੁ ਮਨੁ ਰਾਖਹੁ ਇਕ ਠਾਈ ॥੮॥
भरमि न भूलहु सतिगुरु सेवहु मनु राखहु इक ठाई ॥८॥
Bʰaram na bʰoolahu saṫgur sévhu man raakʰo ik tʰaa▫ee. ||8||
Do not be deluded by doubt; serve the True Guru, and keep your mind steady in one place. ||8||

ਬਿਨੁ ਨਾਵੈ ਸਭ ਭੂਲੀ ਫਿਰਦੀ ਬਿਰਥਾ ਜਨਮੁ ਗਵਾਈ ॥੯॥
बिनु नावै सभ भूली फिरदी बिरथा जनमु गवाई ॥९॥
Bin naavæ sabʰ bʰoolee firḋee birṫʰaa janam gavaa▫ee. ||9||
Without the Name, everyone wanders around in confusion; they waste away their lives in vain. ||9||
|
ਜੋਗੀ ਜੁਗਤਿ ਗਵਾਈ ਹੰਢੈ ਪਾਖੰਡਿ ਜੋਗੁ ਨ ਪਾਈ ॥੧੦॥
जोगी जुगति गवाई हंढै पाखंडि जोगु न पाई ॥१०॥
Jogee jugaṫ gavaa▫ee handʰæ pakʰand jog na paa▫ee. ||10||
Yogi, you have lost the Way; you wander around confused. Through hypocrisy, Yoga is not attained. ||10||

ਸਿਵ ਨਗਰੀ ਮਹਿ ਆਸਣਿ ਬੈਸੈ ਗੁਰ ਸਬਦੀ ਜੋਗੁ ਪਾਈ ॥੧੧॥
सिव नगरी महि आसणि बैसै गुर सबदी जोगु पाई ॥११॥
Siv nagree mėh aasaṇ bæsæ gur sabḋee jog paa▫ee. ||11||
Sitting in Yogic postures in the City of God, through the Word of the Guru’s Shabad, you shall find Yoga. ||11||

ਧਾਤੁਰ ਬਾਜੀ ਸਬਦਿ ਨਿਵਾਰੇ ਨਾਮੁ ਵਸੈ ਮਨਿ ਆਈ ॥੧੨॥
धातुर बाजी सबदि निवारे नामु वसै मनि आई ॥१२॥
Ḋʰaaṫur baajee sabaḋ nivaaré naam vasæ man aa▫ee. ||12||
Restrain your restless wanderings through the Shabad, and the Naam will come to dwell in your mind. ||12||
|
ਏਹੁ ਸਰੀਰੁ ਸਰਵਰੁ ਹੈ ਸੰਤਹੁ ਇਸਨਾਨੁ ਕਰੇ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਈ ॥੧੩॥
एहु सरीरु सरवरु है संतहु इसनानु करे लिव लाई ॥१३॥
Éhu sareer sarvar hæ sanṫahu isnaan karé liv laa▫ee. ||13||
This body is a pool, O Saints; bathe in it, and enshrine love for the Lord. ||13||
|
ਨਾਮਿ ਇਸਨਾਨੁ ਕਰਹਿ ਸੇ ਜਨ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਸਬਦੇ ਮੈਲੁ ਗਵਾਈ ॥੧੪॥
नामि इसनानु करहि से जन निरमल सबदे मैलु गवाई ॥१४॥
Naam isnaan karahi sé jan nirmal sabḋé mæl gavaa▫ee. ||14||
Those who cleanse themselves through the Naam, are the most immaculate people; through the Shabad, they wash off their filth. ||14||
|
ਤ੍ਰੈ ਗੁਣ ਅਚੇਤ ਨਾਮੁ ਚੇਤਹਿ ਨਾਹੀ ਬਿਨੁ ਨਾਵੈ ਬਿਨਸਿ ਜਾਈ ॥੧੫॥
त्रै गुण अचेत नामु चेतहि नाही बिनु नावै बिनसि जाई ॥१५॥
Ṫaræ guṇ achéṫ naam cheeṫėh naahee bin naavæ binas jaa▫ee. ||15||
Trapped by the three qualities, the unconscious person does not think of the Naam; without the Name, he wastes away. ||15||
|
ਬ੍ਰਹਮਾ ਬਿਸਨੁ ਮਹੇਸੁ ਤ੍ਰੈ ਮੂਰਤਿ ਤ੍ਰਿਗੁਣਿ ਭਰਮਿ ਭੁਲਾਈ ॥੧੬॥
ब्रहमा बिसनु महेसु त्रै मूरति त्रिगुणि भरमि भुलाई ॥१६॥
Barahmaa bisan mahés ṫaræ mooraṫ ṫariguṇ bʰaram bʰulaa▫ee. ||16||
The three forms of Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva are trapped in the three qualities, lost in confusion. ||16||
|
ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦੀ ਤ੍ਰਿਕੁਟੀ ਛੂਟੈ ਚਉਥੈ ਪਦਿ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਈ ॥੧੭॥
गुर परसादी त्रिकुटी छूटै चउथै पदि लिव लाई ॥१७॥
Gur parsaadee ṫarikutee chʰootæ cha▫uṫʰæ paḋ liv laa▫ee. ||17||
By Guru’s Grace, this triad is eradicated, and one is lovingly absorbed in the fourth state. ||17||
|
ਪੰਡਿਤ ਪੜਹਿ ਪੜਿ ਵਾਦੁ ਵਖਾਣਹਿ ਤਿੰਨਾ ਬੂਝ ਨ ਪਾਈ ॥੧੮॥
पंडित पड़हि पड़ि वादु वखाणहि तिंना बूझ न पाई ॥१८॥
Pandiṫ paṛėh paṛ vaaḋ vakaaṇėh ṫinnaa boojʰ na paa▫ee. ||18||
The Pandits, the religious scholars, read, study and discuss the arguments; they do not understand. ||18||
|
ਬਿਖਿਆ ਮਾਤੇ ਭਰਮਿ ਭੁਲਾਏ ਉਪਦੇਸੁ ਕਹਹਿ ਕਿਸੁ ਭਾਈ ॥੧੯॥
बिखिआ माते भरमि भुलाए उपदेसु कहहि किसु भाई ॥१९॥
Bikʰi▫aa maaṫé bʰaram bʰulaa▫é upḋés kahėh kis bʰaa▫ee. ||19||
Engrossed in corruption, they wander in confusion; who can they possibly instruct, O Siblings of Destiny? ||19||
|
ਭਗਤ ਜਨਾ ਕੀ ਊਤਮ ਬਾਣੀ ਜੁਗਿ ਜੁਗਿ ਰਹੀ ਸਮਾਈ ॥੨੦॥
भगत जना की ऊतम बाणी जुगि जुगि रही समाई ॥२०॥
Bʰagaṫ janaa kee ooṫam baṇee jug jug rahee samaa▫ee. ||20||
The Bani, the Word of the humble devotee is the most sublime and exalted; it prevails throughout the ages. ||20||
|
ਬਾਣੀ ਲਾਗੈ ਸੋ ਗਤਿ ਪਾਏ ਸਬਦੇ ਸਚਿ ਸਮਾਈ ॥੨੧॥
बाणी लागै सो गति पाए सबदे सचि समाई ॥२१॥
Baṇee laagæ so gaṫ paa▫é sabḋé sach samaa▫ee. ||21||
One who is committed to this Bani is emancipated, and through the Shabad, merges in Truth. ||21||
