ਤੁਮਰੀ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਤੇ ਲਾਗੀ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਿ ॥
तुमरी क्रिपा ते लागी प्रीति ॥
Ṫumree kirpaa ṫé laagee pareeṫ.
By Your Grace, we love You.

ਦਇਆਲ ਭਏ ਤਾ ਆਏ ਚੀਤਿ ॥
दइआल भए ता आए चीति ॥
Ḋa▫i▫aal bʰa▫é ṫaa aa▫é cheeṫ.
When You show Mercy, then You come into our minds.

ਦਇਆ ਧਾਰੀ ਤਿਨਿ ਧਾਰਣਹਾਰ ॥
दइआ धारी तिनि धारणहार ॥
Ḋa▫i▫aa ḋʰaaree ṫin ḋʰaaraṇhaar.
When the Support of the earth granted His Grace,

ਬੰਧਨ ਤੇ ਹੋਈ ਛੁਟਕਾਰ ॥੭॥
बंधन ते होई छुटकार ॥७॥
Banḋʰan ṫé ho▫ee chʰutkaar. ||7||
then I was released from my bonds. ||7||
|
ਸਭਿ ਥਾਨ ਦੇਖੇ ਨੈਣ ਅਲੋਇ ॥
सभि थान देखे नैण अलोइ ॥
Sabʰ ṫʰaan ḋékʰé næṇ alo▫é.
I have seen all the places with my eyes wide open.

ਤਿਸੁ ਬਿਨੁ ਦੂਜਾ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਕੋਇ ॥
तिसु बिनु दूजा अवरु न कोइ ॥
Ṫis bin ḋoojaa avar na ko▫é.
there is none other than Him.

ਭ੍ਰਮ ਭੈ ਛੂਟੇ ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦ ॥
भ्रम भै छूटे गुर परसाद ॥
Bʰaram bʰæ chʰooté gur parsaaḋ.
Doubt and fear are dispelled, by Guru’s Grace.

ਨਾਨਕ ਪੇਖਿਓ ਸਭੁ ਬਿਸਮਾਦ ॥੮॥੪॥
नानक पेखिओ सभु बिसमाद ॥८॥४॥
Naanak pékʰi▫o sabʰ bismaaḋ. ||8||4||
Nanak sees the wondrous Lord everywhere. ||8||4||

ਜੀਅ ਜੰਤ ਸਭਿ ਪੇਖੀਅਹਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਸਗਲ ਤੁਮਾਰੀ ਧਾਰਨਾ ॥੧॥
जीअ जंत सभि पेखीअहि प्रभ सगल तुमारी धारना ॥१॥
Jee▫a janṫ sabʰ pékʰee▫ah parabʰ sagal ṫumaaree ḋʰaarnaa. ||1||
All beings and creatures that are seen, God, depend on Your Support. ||1||
|
ਇਹੁ ਮਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਕੈ ਨਾਮਿ ਉਧਾਰਨਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
इहु मनु हरि कै नामि उधारना ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Ih man har kæ naam uḋʰaarnaa. ||1|| rahaa▫o.
This mind is saved through the Name of the Lord. ||1||Pause||

ਖਿਨ ਮਹਿ ਥਾਪਿ ਉਥਾਪੇ ਕੁਦਰਤਿ ਸਭਿ ਕਰਤੇ ਕੇ ਕਾਰਨਾ ॥੨॥
खिन महि थापि उथापे कुदरति सभि करते के कारना ॥२॥
Kʰin mėh ṫʰaap uṫʰaapé kuḋraṫ sabʰ karṫé ké kaarnaa. ||2||
In an instant, He establishes and disestablishes, by His Creative Power. All is the Creation of the Creator. ||2||

ਕਾਮੁ ਕ੍ਰੋਧੁ ਲੋਭੁ ਝੂਠੁ ਨਿੰਦਾ ਸਾਧੂ ਸੰਗਿ ਬਿਦਾਰਨਾ ॥੩॥
कामु क्रोधु लोभु झूठु निंदा साधू संगि बिदारना ॥३॥
Kaam kroḋʰ lobʰ jʰootʰ ninḋaa saaḋʰoo sang biḋaarnaa. ||3||
Sexual desire, anger, greed, falsehood and slander are banished in the Saadh Sangat, the Company of the Holy. ||3||

ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪਤ ਮਨੁ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਹੋਵੈ ਸੂਖੇ ਸੂਖਿ ਗੁਦਾਰਨਾ ॥੪॥
नामु जपत मनु निरमल होवै सूखे सूखि गुदारना ॥४॥
Naam japaṫ man nirmal hovæ sookʰé sookʰ guḋaarnaa. ||4||
Chanting the Naam, the Name of the Lord, the mind becomes immaculate, and life is passed in absolute peace. ||4||

ਭਗਤ ਸਰਣਿ ਜੋ ਆਵੈ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀ ਤਿਸੁ ਈਹਾ ਊਹਾ ਨ ਹਾਰਨਾ ॥੫॥
भगत सरणि जो आवै प्राणी तिसु ईहा ऊहा न हारना ॥५॥
Bʰagaṫ saraṇ jo aavæ paraaṇee ṫis eehaa oohaa na haarnaa. ||5||
That mortal who enters the Sanctuary of the devotees, does not lose out, here or hereafter. ||5||

ਸੂਖ ਦੂਖ ਇਸੁ ਮਨ ਕੀ ਬਿਰਥਾ ਤੁਮ ਹੀ ਆਗੈ ਸਾਰਨਾ ॥੬॥
सूख दूख इसु मन की बिरथा तुम ही आगै सारना ॥६॥
Sookʰ ḋookʰ is man kee birṫʰaa ṫum hee aagæ saarnaa. ||6||
Pleasure and pain, and the condition of this mind, I place before You, Lord. ||6||

ਤੂ ਦਾਤਾ ਸਭਨਾ ਜੀਆ ਕਾ ਆਪਨ ਕੀਆ ਪਾਲਨਾ ॥੭॥
तू दाता सभना जीआ का आपन कीआ पालना ॥७॥
Ṫoo ḋaaṫaa sabʰnaa jee▫aa kaa aapan kee▫aa paalnaa. ||7||
You are the Giver of all beings; You cherish what You have made. ||7||

ਅਨਿਕ ਬਾਰ ਕੋਟਿ ਜਨ ਊਪਰਿ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਵੰਞੈ ਵਾਰਨਾ ॥੮॥੫॥
अनिक बार कोटि जन ऊपरि नानकु वंञै वारना ॥८॥५॥
Anik baar kot jan oopar Naanak vañæ vaarnaa. ||8||5||
So many millions of times, Nanak is a sacrifice to Your humble servants. ||8||5||

ੴ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥
ੴ सतिगुर प्रसादि ॥
Ik▫oaⁿkaar saṫgur parsaaḋ.
One Universal Creator God. By The Grace Of The True Guru:

ਦਰਸਨੁ ਭੇਟਤ ਪਾਪ ਸਭਿ ਨਾਸਹਿ ਹਰਿ ਸਿਉ ਦੇਇ ਮਿਲਾਈ ॥੧॥
दरसनु भेटत पाप सभि नासहि हरि सिउ देइ मिलाई ॥१॥
Ḋarsan bʰétaṫ paap sabʰ naasėh har si▫o ḋé▫é milaa▫ee. ||1||
Receiving the Blessed Vision of His Darshan, all sins are erased, and He unites me with the Lord. ||1||
|
ਮੇਰਾ ਗੁਰੁ ਪਰਮੇਸਰੁ ਸੁਖਦਾਈ ॥
मेरा गुरु परमेसरु सुखदाई ॥
Méraa gur parmésar sukʰ▫ḋaa▫ee.
My Guru is the Transcendent Lord, the Giver of peace.

ਪਾਰਬ੍ਰਹਮ ਕਾ ਨਾਮੁ ਦ੍ਰਿੜਾਏ ਅੰਤੇ ਹੋਇ ਸਖਾਈ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
पारब्रहम का नामु द्रिड़ाए अंते होइ सखाई ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Paarbarahm kaa naam driṛ▫aa▫é anṫé ho▫é sakʰaa▫ee. ||1|| rahaa▫o.
He implants the Naam, the Name of the Supreme Lord God within us; in the end, He is our help and support. ||1||Pause||

ਸਗਲ ਦੂਖ ਕਾ ਡੇਰਾ ਭੰਨਾ ਸੰਤ ਧੂਰਿ ਮੁਖਿ ਲਾਈ ॥੨॥
सगल दूख का डेरा भंना संत धूरि मुखि लाई ॥२॥
Sagal ḋookʰ kaa déraa bʰannaa sanṫ ḋʰoor mukʰ laa▫ee. ||2||
The source of all pain within is destroyed; I apply the dust of the feet of the Saints to my forehead. ||2||

ਪਤਿਤ ਪੁਨੀਤ ਕੀਏ ਖਿਨ ਭੀਤਰਿ ਅਗਿਆਨੁ ਅੰਧੇਰੁ ਵੰਞਾਈ ॥੩॥
पतित पुनीत कीए खिन भीतरि अगिआनु अंधेरु वंञाई ॥३॥
Paṫiṫ puneeṫ kee▫é kʰin bʰeeṫar agi▫aan anḋʰér vañaa▫ee. ||3||
In an instant, He purifies the sinners, and dispels the darkness of ignorance. ||3||
|
ਕਰਣ ਕਾਰਣ ਸਮਰਥੁ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਨਾਨਕ ਤਿਸੁ ਸਰਣਾਈ ॥੪॥
करण कारण समरथु सुआमी नानक तिसु सरणाई ॥४॥
Karaṇ kaaraṇ samraṫʰ su▫aamee Naanak ṫis sarṇaa▫ee. ||4||
The Lord is all-powerful, the Cause of all causes. Nanak seeks His Sanctuary. ||4||

ਬੰਧਨ ਤੋੜਿ ਚਰਨ ਕਮਲ ਦ੍ਰਿੜਾਏ ਏਕ ਸਬਦਿ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਈ ॥੫॥
बंधन तोड़ि चरन कमल द्रिड़ाए एक सबदि लिव लाई ॥५॥
Banḋʰan ṫoṛ charan kamal driṛ▫aa▫é ék sabaḋ liv laa▫ee. ||5||
Shattering the bonds, the Guru implants the Lord’s lotus feet within, and lovingly attunes us to the One Word of the Shabad. ||5||
|
ਅੰਧ ਕੂਪ ਬਿਖਿਆ ਤੇ ਕਾਢਿਓ ਸਾਚ ਸਬਦਿ ਬਣਿ ਆਈ ॥੬॥
अंध कूप बिखिआ ते काढिओ साच सबदि बणि आई ॥६॥
Anḋʰ koop bikʰi▫aa ṫé kaadʰi▫o saach sabaḋ baṇ aa▫ee. ||6||
He has lifted me up, and pulled me out of the deep, dark pit of sin; I am attuned to the True Shabad. ||6||

ਜਨਮ ਮਰਣ ਕਾ ਸਹਸਾ ਚੂਕਾ ਬਾਹੁੜਿ ਕਤਹੁ ਨ ਧਾਈ ॥੭॥
जनम मरण का सहसा चूका बाहुड़ि कतहु न धाई ॥७॥
Janam maraṇ kaa sahsaa chookaa baahuṛ kaṫahu na ḋʰaa▫ee. ||7||
The fear of birth and death is taken away; I shall never wander again. ||7||
|
ਨਾਮ ਰਸਾਇਣਿ ਇਹੁ ਮਨੁ ਰਾਤਾ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਪੀ ਤ੍ਰਿਪਤਾਈ ॥੮॥
नाम रसाइणि इहु मनु राता अमृतु पी त्रिपताई ॥८॥
Naam rasaa▫iṇ ih man raaṫaa amriṫ pee ṫaripṫaa▫ee. ||8||
This mind is imbued with the sublime elixir of the Naam; drinking in the Ambrosial Nectar, it is satisfied. ||8||
|
ਸੰਤਸੰਗਿ ਮਿਲਿ ਕੀਰਤਨੁ ਗਾਇਆ ਨਿਹਚਲ ਵਸਿਆ ਜਾਈ ॥੯॥
संतसंगि मिलि कीरतनु गाइआ निहचल वसिआ जाई ॥९॥
Saṫsang mil keerṫan gaa▫i▫aa nihchal vasi▫aa jaa▫ee. ||9||
By joining the Society of the Saints, I sing the Kirtan of the Lord’s Praises; I dwell in the eternal, unchanging place. ||9||

ਪੂਰੈ ਗੁਰਿ ਪੂਰੀ ਮਤਿ ਦੀਨੀ ਹਰਿ ਬਿਨੁ ਆਨ ਨ ਭਾਈ ॥੧੦॥
पूरै गुरि पूरी मति दीनी हरि बिनु आन न भाई ॥१०॥
Pooræ gur pooree maṫ ḋeenee har bin aan na bʰaa▫ee. ||10||
The Perfect Guru has given me the perfect teachings; there is nothing except the Lord, O Siblings of Destiny. ||10||
|
ਨਾਮੁ ਨਿਧਾਨੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਵਡਭਾਗੀ ਨਾਨਕ ਨਰਕਿ ਨ ਜਾਈ ॥੧੧॥
नामु निधानु पाइआ वडभागी नानक नरकि न जाई ॥११॥
Naam niḋʰaan paa▫i▫aa vadbʰaagee Naanak narak na jaa▫ee. ||11||
I have obtained the treasure of the Naam, by great good fortune; O Nanak! I shall not fall into hell. ||11||
|
ਘਾਲ ਸਿਆਣਪ ਉਕਤਿ ਨ ਮੇਰੀ ਪੂਰੈ ਗੁਰੂ ਕਮਾਈ ॥੧੨॥
घाल सिआणप उकति न मेरी पूरै गुरू कमाई ॥१२॥
Gʰaal si▫aaṇap ukaṫ na méree pooræ guroo kamaa▫ee. ||12||
Clever tricks have not worked for me; I shall act according to the Instructions of the Perfect Guru. ||12||
|
ਜਪ ਤਪ ਸੰਜਮ ਸੁਚਿ ਹੈ ਸੋਈ ਆਪੇ ਕਰੇ ਕਰਾਈ ॥੧੩॥
जप तप संजम सुचि है सोई आपे करे कराई ॥१३॥
Jap ṫap sanjam such hæ so▫ee aapé karé karaa▫ee. ||13||
He is chanting, intense meditation, austere self-discipline and purification. He Himself acts, and causes us to act. ||13||
|
ਪੁਤ੍ਰ ਕਲਤ੍ਰ ਮਹਾ ਬਿਖਿਆ ਮਹਿ ਗੁਰਿ ਸਾਚੈ ਲਾਇ ਤਰਾਈ ॥੧੪॥
पुत्र कलत्र महा बिखिआ महि गुरि साचै लाइ तराई ॥१४॥
Puṫar kalṫar mahaa bikʰi▫aa mėh gur saachæ laa▫é ṫaraa▫ee. ||14||
In the midst of children and spouse, and utter corruption, the True Guru has carried me across. ||14||
