ੴ ਸਤਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਕਰਤਾ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਨਿਰਭਉ ਨਿਰਵੈਰੁ ਅਕਾਲ ਮੂਰਤਿ ਅਜੂਨੀ ਸੈਭੰ ਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥
ੴ सति नामु करता पुरखु निरभउ निरवैरु अकाल मूरति अजूनी सैभं गुर प्रसादि ॥
Ik▫oaⁿkaar saṫ naam karṫaa purakʰ nirbʰa▫o nirvær akaal mooraṫ ajoonee sæbʰaⁿ gur parsaaḋ.
One Universal Creator God. Truth Is The Name. Creative Being Personified. No Fear. No Hatred. Image Of The Undying. Beyond Birth. Self-Existent. By Guru’s Grace:

ਅਨਿਕ ਜਤਨ ਕਰਿ ਰਹੇ ਹਰਿ ਅੰਤੁ ਨਾਹੀ ਪਾਇਆ ॥
अनिक जतन करि रहे हरि अंतु नाही पाइआ ॥
Anik jaṫan kar rahé har anṫ naahee paa▫i▫aa.
Countless have tried, but none have found the Lord’s limit.

ਹਰਿ ਅਗਮ ਅਗਮ ਅਗਾਧਿ ਬੋਧਿ ਆਦੇਸੁ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਰਾਇਆ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
हरि अगम अगम अगाधि बोधि आदेसु हरि प्रभ राइआ ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Har agam agam agaaḋʰ boḋʰ aaḋés har parabʰ raa▫i▫aa. ||1|| rahaa▫o.
The Lord is inaccessible, unapproachable and unfathomable; I humbly bow to the Lord God, my King. ||1||Pause||

ਕਾਮੁ ਕ੍ਰੋਧੁ ਲੋਭੁ ਮੋਹੁ ਨਿਤ ਝਗਰਤੇ ਝਗਰਾਇਆ ॥
कामु क्रोधु लोभु मोहु नित झगरते झगराइआ ॥
Kaam kroḋʰ lobʰ moh niṫ jʰagraṫé jʰagraa▫i▫aa.
Sexual desire, anger, greed and emotional attachment bring continual conflict and strife.

ਹਮ ਰਾਖੁ ਰਾਖੁ ਦੀਨ ਤੇਰੇ ਹਰਿ ਸਰਨਿ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਆਇਆ ॥੧॥
हम राखु राखु दीन तेरे हरि सरनि हरि प्रभ आइआ ॥१॥
Ham raakʰ raakʰ ḋeen ṫéré har saran har parabʰ aa▫i▫aa. ||1||
Save me, save me, I am your humble creature, O Lord; I have come to Your Sanctuary, O my Lord God. ||1||
|
ਸਰਣਾਗਤੀ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਪਾਲਤੇ ਹਰਿ ਭਗਤਿ ਵਛਲੁ ਨਾਇਆ ॥
सरणागती प्रभ पालते हरि भगति वछलु नाइआ ॥
Sarṇaagaṫee parabʰ paalṫé har bʰagaṫ vachʰal naa▫i▫aa.
You protect and preserve those who take to Your Sanctuary, God; You are called the Lover of Your devotees.

ਪ੍ਰਹਿਲਾਦੁ ਜਨੁ ਹਰਨਾਖਿ ਪਕਰਿਆ ਹਰਿ ਰਾਖਿ ਲੀਓ ਤਰਾਇਆ ॥੨॥
प्रहिलादु जनु हरनाखि पकरिआ हरि राखि लीओ तराइआ ॥२॥
Par▫hilaaḋ jan harnaakʰ pakri▫aa har raakʰ lee▫o ṫaraa▫i▫aa. ||2||
Prahlaad, Your humble servant, was caught by Harnaakhash; but You saved Him and carried him across, Lord. ||2||
|
ਹਰਿ ਚੇਤਿ ਰੇ ਮਨ ਮਹਲੁ ਪਾਵਣ ਸਭ ਦੂਖ ਭੰਜਨੁ ਰਾਇਆ ॥
हरि चेति रे मन महलु पावण सभ दूख भंजनु राइआ ॥
Har chéṫ ré man mahal paavaṇ sabʰ ḋookʰ bʰanjan raa▫i▫aa.
Remember the Lord, O mind, and rise up to the Mansion of His Presence; the Sovereign Lord is the Destroyer of pain.

ਭਉ ਜਨਮ ਮਰਨ ਨਿਵਾਰਿ ਠਾਕੁਰ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਰਮਤੀ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਪਾਇਆ ॥੩॥
भउ जनम मरन निवारि ठाकुर हरि गुरमती प्रभु पाइआ ॥३॥
Bʰa▫o janam maran nivaar tʰaakur har gurmaṫee parabʰ paa▫i▫aa. ||3||
Our Lord and Master takes away the fear of birth and death; following the Guru’s Teachings, the Lord God is found. ||3||
|
ਹਰਿ ਪਤਿਤ ਪਾਵਨ ਨਾਮੁ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਭਉ ਭਗਤ ਭੰਜਨੁ ਗਾਇਆ ॥
हरि पतित पावन नामु सुआमी भउ भगत भंजनु गाइआ ॥
Har paṫiṫ paavan naam su▫aamee bʰa▫o bʰagaṫ bʰanjan gaa▫i▫aa.
The Name of the Lord, our Lord and Master, is the Purifier of sinners; I sing of the Lord, the Destroyer of the fears of His devotees.

ਹਰਿ ਹਾਰੁ ਹਰਿ ਉਰਿ ਧਾਰਿਓ ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮਿ ਸਮਾਇਆ ॥੪॥੧॥
हरि हारु हरि उरि धारिओ जन नानक नामि समाइआ ॥४॥१॥
Har haar har ur ḋʰaari▫o jan Naanak naam samaa▫i▫aa. ||4||1||
One who wears the necklace of the Name of the Lord, Har, Har, in his heart, O servant Nanak! Merges in the Naam. ||4||1||

ਮਾਲੀ ਗਉੜਾ ਮਹਲਾ ੪ ॥

Maalee Gauraa, Fourth Mehl:

ਜਪਿ ਮਨ ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮੁ ਸੁਖਦਾਤਾ ॥
जपि मन राम नामु सुखदाता ॥
Jap man raam naam sukʰ▫ḋaaṫa.
O my mind! Chant the Name of the Lord, the Giver of peace.

ਸਤਸੰਗਤਿ ਮਿਲਿ ਹਰਿ ਸਾਦੁ ਆਇਆ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਬ੍ਰਹਮੁ ਪਛਾਤਾ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥
सतसंगति मिलि हरि सादु आइआ गुरमुखि ब्रहमु पछाता ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥
Saṫsangaṫ mil har saaḋ aa▫i▫aa gurmukʰ barahm pachʰaaṫaa. ||1|| rahaa▫o.
One who joins the Sat Sangat, the True Congregation, and enjoys the sublime taste of the Lord, as Gurmukh, comes to realize God. ||1||Pause||

ਵਡਭਾਗੀ ਗੁਰ ਦਰਸਨੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਗੁਰਿ ਮਿਲਿਐ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਜਾਤਾ ॥
वडभागी गुर दरसनु पाइआ गुरि मिलिऐ हरि प्रभु जाता ॥
vadbʰaagee gur ḋarsan paa▫i▫aa gur mili▫æ har parabʰ jaaṫaa.
By great good fortune, one obtains the Blessed Vision of the Guru’s Darshan; meeting with the Guru, the Lord God is known.

ਦੁਰਮਤਿ ਮੈਲੁ ਗਈ ਸਭ ਨੀਕਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਿ ਹਰਿ ਸਰਿ ਨਾਤਾ ॥੧॥
दुरमति मैलु गई सभ नीकरि हरि अमृति हरि सरि नाता ॥१॥
Ḋurmaṫ mæl ga▫ee sabʰ neekar har amriṫ har sar naaṫaa. ||1||
The filth of evil-mindedness is totally washed away, bathing in the Lord’s ambrosial pool of nectar. ||1||
|
ਧਨੁ ਧਨੁ ਸਾਧ ਜਿਨੑੀ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਤਿਨੑ ਪੂਛਉ ਹਰਿ ਕੀ ਬਾਤਾ ॥
धनु धनु साध जिन्ही हरि प्रभु पाइआ तिन्ह पूछउ हरि की बाता ॥
Ḋʰan ḋʰan saaḋʰ jinĥee har parabʰ paa▫i▫aa ṫinĥ poochʰa▫o har kee baaṫaa.
Blessed, blessed are the Holy, who have found their Lord God; I ask them to tell me the stories of the Lord.

ਪਾਇ ਲਗਉ ਨਿਤ ਕਰਉ ਜੁਦਰੀਆ ਹਰਿ ਮੇਲਹੁ ਕਰਮਿ ਬਿਧਾਤਾ ॥੨॥
पाइ लगउ नित करउ जुदरीआ हरि मेलहु करमि बिधाता ॥२॥
Paa▫é laga▫o niṫ kara▫o juḋree▫aa har mélhu karam biḋʰaaṫaa. ||2||
I fall at their feet, and always pray to them, to mercifully unite me with my Lord, the Architect of Destiny. ||2||

ਲਿਲਾਟ ਲਿਖੇ ਪਾਇਆ ਗੁਰੁ ਸਾਧੂ ਗੁਰ ਬਚਨੀ ਮਨੁ ਤਨੁ ਰਾਤਾ ॥
लिलाट लिखे पाइआ गुरु साधू गुर बचनी मनु तनु राता ॥
Lilaat likʰé paa▫i▫aa gur saaḋʰoo gur bachnee man ṫan raaṫaa.
Through the destiny written on my forehead, I have found the Holy Guru; my mind and body are imbued with the Guru’s Word.

ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭ ਆਇ ਮਿਲੇ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਸਭ ਕਿਲਵਿਖ ਪਾਪ ਗਵਾਤਾ ॥੩॥
हरि प्रभ आइ मिले सुखु पाइआ सभ किलविख पाप गवाता ॥३॥
Har parabʰ aa▫é milé sukʰ paa▫i▫aa sabʰ kilvikʰ paap gavaaṫaa. ||3||
The Lord God has come to meet me; I have found peace, and I am rid of all the sins. ||3||
|
ਰਾਮ ਰਸਾਇਣੁ ਜਿਨੑ ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਪਾਇਆ ਤਿਨੑ ਕੀ ਊਤਮ ਬਾਤਾ ॥
राम रसाइणु जिन्ह गुरमति पाइआ तिन्ह की ऊतम बाता ॥
Raam rasaa▫iṇ jinĥ gurmaṫ paa▫i▫aa ṫinĥ kee ooṫam baaṫaa.
Those who follow the Guru’s Teachings find the Lord, the source of nectar; their words are sublime and exalted.

ਤਿਨ ਕੀ ਪੰਕ ਪਾਈਐ ਵਡਭਾਗੀ ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕੁ ਚਰਨਿ ਪਰਾਤਾ ॥੪॥੨॥
तिन की पंक पाईऐ वडभागी जन नानकु चरनि पराता ॥४॥२॥
Ṫin kee pank paa▫ee▫æ vadbʰaagee jan Naanak charan paraaṫaa. ||4||2||
By great good fortune, one is blessed with the dust of their feet; servant Nanak falls at their feet. ||4||2||
