Raag Kalyaan, Fourth Mehl:

ੴ ਸਤਿਨਾਮੁ ਕਰਤਾ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਨਿਰਭਉ ਨਿਰਵੈਰੁ ਅਕਾਲ ਮੂਰਤਿ ਅਜੂਨੀ ਸੈਭੰ ਗੁਰ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ॥

Ik▫oaᴺkaar saṫnaam karṫaa purakʱ nirbʱa▫o nirvær akaal mooraṫ ajoonee sæbʱaᴺ gur parsaaḋ.

One Universal Creator God. Truth Is The Name. Creative Being Personified. No Fear. No Hatred. Image Of The Undying. Beyond Birth. Self-Existent. By Guru’s Grace:

ਰਾਮਾ ਰਮ ਰਾਮੈ ਅੰਤੁ ਨ ਪਾਇਆ ॥

Raamaa ram raamæ anṫ na paa▫i▫aa.

The Lord, the Beauteous Lord - no one has found His limits.

ਹਮ ਬਾਰਿਕ ਪ੍ਰਤਿਪਾਰੇ ਤੁਮਰੇ ਤੂ ਬਡ ਪੁਰਖੁ ਪਿਤਾ ਮੇਰਾ ਮਾਇਆ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

Ham baarik parṫipaaré ṫumré ṫoo bad purakʱ piṫaa méraa maa▫i▫aa. ||1|| rahaa▫o.

I am a child - You cherish and sustain me. You are the Great Primal Being, my Mother and Father. ||1||Pause||

ਹਰਿ ਕੇ ਨਾਮ ਅਸੰਖ ਅਗਮ ਹਹਿ ਅਗਮ ਅਗਮ ਹਰਿ ਰਾਇਆ ॥

Har ké naam asaᴺkʱ agam hėh agam agam har raa▫i▫aa.

The Names of the Lord are Countless and Unfathomable. My Sovereign Lord is Unfathomable and Incomprehensible.

ਗੁਣੀ ਗਿਆਨੀ ਸੁਰਤਿ ਬਹੁ ਕੀਨੀ ਇਕੁ ਤਿਲੁ ਨਹੀ ਕੀਮਤਿ ਪਾਇਆ ॥੧॥

Guṇee gi▫aanee suraṫ baho keenee ik ṫil nahee keemaṫ paa▫i▫aa. ||1||

The virtuous and the spiritual teachers have given it great thought, but they have not found even an iota of His Value. ||1||

ਗੋਬਿਦ ਗੁਣ ਗੋਬਿਦ ਸਦ ਗਾਵਹਿ ਗੁਣ ਗੋਬਿਦ ਅੰਤੁ ਨ ਪਾਇਆ ॥

Gobiḋ guṇ gobiḋ saḋ gaavahi guṇ gobiḋ anṫ na paa▫i▫aa.

They sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord, the Lord of the Universe forever. They sing the Glorious Praises of the Lord of the Universe, but they do not find His limits.

ਤੂ ਅਮਿਤਿ ਅਤੋਲੁ ਅਪਰੰਪਰ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਬਹੁ ਜਪੀਐ ਥਾਹ ਨ ਪਾਇਆ ॥੨॥

Ṫoo amiṫ aṫol aprampar su▫aamee baho japee▫æ ṫʱaah na paa▫i▫aa. ||2||

You are Immeasurable, un-weighable, and Infinite, O Lord and Master; no matter how much one may meditate on You, Your Depth cannot be fathomed. ||2||

ਉਸਤਤਿ ਕਰਹਿ ਤੁਮਰੀ ਜਨ ਮਾਧੌ ਗੁਨ ਗਾਵਹਿ ਹਰਿ ਰਾਇਆ ॥

Usṫaṫ karahi ṫumree jan maaḋʱou gun gaavahi har raa▫i▫aa.

Lord, Your humble servants praise You, singing Your Glorious Praises, O Sovereign Lord.

ਤੁਮੑ ਜਲ ਨਿਧਿ ਹਮ ਮੀਨੇ ਤੁਮਰੇ ਤੇਰਾ ਅੰਤੁ ਨ ਕਤਹੂ ਪਾਇਆ ॥੩॥

Ṫumĥ jal niḋʱ ham meené ṫumré ṫéraa anṫ na kaṫhoo paa▫i▫aa. ||3||

You are the ocean of water, and I am Your fish. No one has ever found Your limits. ||3||

ਜਨ ਕਉ ਕ੍ਰਿਪਾ ਕਰਹੁ ਮਧਸੂਦਨ ਹਰਿ ਦੇਵਹੁ ਨਾਮੁ ਜਪਾਇਆ ॥

Jan ka▫o kirpaa karahu maḋʱsooḋan har ḋévhu naam japaa▫i▫aa.

Please be Kind to Your humble servant, Lord; please bless me with the meditation of Your Name.

ਮੈ ਮੂਰਖ ਅੰਧੁਲੇ ਨਾਮੁ ਟੇਕ ਹੈ ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਪਾਇਆ ॥੪॥੧॥

Mæ moorakʱ anḋʱulé naam ték hæ jan Naanak gurmukʱ paa▫i▫aa. ||4||1||

I am a blind fool; Your Name is my only Support. Servant Nanak, as Gurmukh, has found it. ||4||1||

ਕਲਿਆਨੁ ਮਹਲਾ ੪ ॥

Kali▫aan mėhlaa 4.

Kalyaan, Fourth Mehl:

ਹਰਿ ਜਨੁ ਗੁਨ ਗਾਵਤ ਹਸਿਆ ॥

Har jan gun gaavaṫ hasi▫aa.

The humble servant of the Lord sings the Lord’s Praise, and blossoms forth.

ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਭਗਤਿ ਬਨੀ ਮਤਿ ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਧੁਰਿ ਮਸਤਕਿ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਲਿਖਿਆ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

Har har bʱagaṫ banee maṫ gurmaṫ ḋʱur masṫak parabʱ likʱi▫aa. ||1|| rahaa▫o.

My intellect is embellished with devotion to the Lord, Har, Har, through the Guru’s Teachings. This is the destiny which God has recorded on my forehead. ||1||Pause||

ਗੁਰ ਕੇ ਪਗ ਸਿਮਰਉ ਦਿਨੁ ਰਾਤੀ ਮਨਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਬਸਿਆ ॥

Gur ké pag simra▫o ḋin raaṫee man har har har basi▫aa.

I meditate in remembrance of the Guru’s Feet, day and night. The Lord, Har, Har, Har, comes to dwell in my mind.

ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਕੀਰਤਿ ਜਗਿ ਸਾਰੀ ਘਸਿ ਚੰਦਨੁ ਜਸੁ ਘਸਿਆ ॥੧॥

Har har har keeraṫ jag saaree gʱas chanḋan jas gʱasi▫aa. ||1||

The Praise of the Lord, Har, Har, Har, is Excellent and Sublime in this world. His Praise is the sandalwood paste which I rub. ||1||

ਹਰਿ ਜਨ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਲਿਵ ਲਾਈ ਸਭਿ ਸਾਕਤ ਖੋਜਿ ਪਇਆ ॥

Har jan har har har liv laa▫ee sabʱ saakaṫ kʱoj pa▫i▫aa.

The humble servant of the Lord is lovingly attuned to the Lord, Har, Har, Har; all the faithless cynics pursue him.

ਜਿਉ ਕਿਰਤ ਸੰਜੋਗਿ ਚਲਿਓ ਨਰ ਨਿੰਦਕੁ ਪਗੁ ਨਾਗਨਿ ਛੁਹਿ ਜਲਿਆ ॥੨॥

Ji▫o kiraṫ sanjog chali▫o nar ninḋak pag naagan chʱuhi jali▫aa. ||2||

The slanderous person acts in accordance with the record of his past deeds; his foot trips over the snake, and he is stung by its bite. ||2||

ਜਨ ਕੇ ਤੁਮੑ ਹਰਿ ਰਾਖੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਤੁਮੑ ਜੁਗਿ ਜੁਗਿ ਜਨ ਰਖਿਆ ॥

Jan ké ṫumĥ har raakʱé su▫aamee ṫumĥ jug jug jan rakʱi▫aa.

O my Lord and Master, You are the Saving Grace, the Protector of Your humble servants. You protect them, age after age.

ਕਹਾ ਭਇਆ ਦੈਤਿ ਕਰੀ ਬਖੀਲੀ ਸਭ ਕਰਿ ਕਰਿ ਝਰਿ ਪਰਿਆ ॥੩॥

Kahaa bʱa▫i▫aa ḋæṫ karee bakʱeelee sabʱ kar kar jʱar pari▫aa. ||3||

What does it matter, if a demon speaks evil? By doing so, he only gets frustrated. ||3||

ਜੇਤੇ ਜੀਅ ਜੰਤ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਕੀਏ ਸਭਿ ਕਾਲੈ ਮੁਖਿ ਗ੍ਰਸਿਆ ॥

Jéṫé jee▫a janṫ parabʱ kee▫é sabʱ kaalæ mukʱ garsi▫aa.

All the beings and creatures created by God are caught in the mouth of Death.

ਹਰਿ ਜਨ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਰਾਖੇ ਜਨ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਰਨਿ ਪਇਆ ॥੪॥੨॥

Har jan har har har parabʱ raakʱé jan Naanak saran pa▫i▫aa. ||4||2||

The humble servants of the Lord are protected by the Lord God, Har, Har, Har; servant Nanak seeks His Sanctuary. ||4||2||

ਕਲਿਆਨ ਮਹਲਾ ੪ ॥

Kali▫aan mėhlaa 4.

Kalyaan, Fourth Mehl:

ਮੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਜਪੁ ਜਪਿ ਜਗੰਨਾਥੇ ॥

Méré man jap jap jagaᴺnaaṫʱé.

O my mind! Chant and meditate on the Master of the Universe.
