73 ਤੁਧੁ ਆਪੇ ਆਪੁ ਉਪਾਇਆ ॥ Ṫuḋʰ aapé aap upaa▫i▫aa. You Yourself created the Universe; ਦੂਜਾ ਖੇਲੁ ਕਰਿ ਦਿਖਲਾਇਆ ॥ Ḋoojaa kʰél kar ḋikʰlaa▫i▫aa. You created the play of duality, and staged it. ਸਭੁ ਸਚੋ ਸਚੁ ਵਰਤਦਾ ਜਿਸੁ ਭਾਵੈ ਤਿਸੈ ਬੁਝਾਇ ਜੀਉ ॥੨੦॥ Sabʰ sacho sach varaṫḋaa jis bʰaavæ ṫisæ bujʰaa▫é jee▫o. ||20|| The Truest of the True is pervading everywhere; He instructs those with whom He is pleased. ||20|| ਗੁਰ ਪਰਸਾਦੀ ਪਾਇਆ ॥ Gur parsaadee paa▫i▫aa. By Guru’s Grace, I have found God. ਤਿਥੈ ਮਾਇਆ ਮੋਹੁ ਚੁਕਾਇਆ ॥ Ṫiṫʰæ maa▫i▫aa moh chukaa▫i▫aa. By His Grace, I have shed emotional attachment to Maya. ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰਿ ਕੈ ਆਪਣੀ ਆਪੇ ਲਏ ਸਮਾਇ ਜੀਉ ॥੨੧॥ Kirpaa kar kæ aapṇee aapé la▫é samaa▫é jee▫o. ||21|| Showering His Mercy, He has blended me into Himself. ||21|| ਗੋਪੀ ਨੈ ਗੋਆਲੀਆ ॥ Gopee næ go▫aalee▫aa. You are the Gopis, the milk-maids of Krishna; You are the sacred river Jamuna; You are Krishna, the herdsman. ਤੁਧੁ ਆਪੇ ਗੋਇ ਉਠਾਲੀਆ ॥ Ṫuḋʰ aapé go▫é utʰaalee▫aa. You Yourself support the world. ਹੁਕਮੀ ਭਾਂਡੇ ਸਾਜਿਆ ਤੂੰ ਆਪੇ ਭੰਨਿ ਸਵਾਰਿ ਜੀਉ ॥੨੨॥ Hukmee bʰaaⁿdé saaji▫aa ṫooⁿ aapé bʰann savaar jee▫o. ||22|| By Your Command, human beings are fashioned. You Yourself embellish them, and then again destroy them. ||22|| ਜਿਨ ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਸਿਉ ਚਿਤੁ ਲਾਇਆ ॥ Jin saṫgur si▫o chiṫ laa▫i▫aa. Those who have focused their consciousness on the True Guru, ਤਿਨੀ ਦੂਜਾ ਭਾਉ ਚੁਕਾਇਆ ॥ Ṫinee ḋoojaa bʰaa▫o chukaa▫i▫aa. have rid themselves of the love of duality. ਨਿਰਮਲ ਜੋਤਿ ਤਿਨ ਪ੍ਰਾਣੀਆ ਓਇ ਚਲੇ ਜਨਮੁ ਸਵਾਰਿ ਜੀਉ ॥੨੩॥ Nirmal joṫ ṫin paraaṇee▫aa o▫é chalé janam savaar jee▫o. ||23|| The light of those mortal beings is immaculate. They depart after redeeming their lives. ||23|| ਤੇਰੀਆ ਸਦਾ ਸਦਾ ਚੰਗਿਆਈਆ ॥ Ṫéree▫aa saḋaa saḋaa chang▫aa▫ee▫aa. Your Goodness, I forever, ਮੈ ਰਾਤਿ ਦਿਹੈ ਵਡਿਆਈਆਂ ॥ Mæ raaṫ ḋihæ vadi▫aa▫ee▫aaⁿ. admire by night and day. ਅਣਮੰਗਿਆ ਦਾਨੁ ਦੇਵਣਾ ਕਹੁ ਨਾਨਕ ਸਚੁ ਸਮਾਲਿ ਜੀਉ ॥੨੪॥੧॥ Aṇmangi▫aa ḋaan ḋévṇaa kaho Naanak sach samaal jee▫o. ||24||1|| You bestow Your Gifts, even if we do not ask for them. Says Nanak, contemplate the True Lord. ||24||1|| ਸਿਰੀਰਾਗੁ ਮਹਲਾ ੫ ॥ Sireeraag mėhlaa 5. Siree Raag, Fifth Mehl: ਪੈ ਪਾਇ ਮਨਾਈ ਸੋਇ ਜੀਉ ॥ Pæ paa▫é manaa▫ee so▫é jee▫o. I fall at His Feet to please and appease Him. ਸਤਿਗੁਰ ਪੁਰਖਿ ਮਿਲਾਇਆ ਤਿਸੁ ਜੇਵਡੁ ਅਵਰੁ ਨ ਕੋਇ ਜੀਉ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ Saṫgur purakʰ milaa▫i▫aa ṫis jévad avar na ko▫é jee▫o. ||1|| rahaa▫o. The True Guru has united me with the Lord, the Primal Being. There is no other as great as He. ||1||Pause|| ਗੋਸਾਈ ਮਿਹੰਡਾ ਇਠੜਾ ॥ Gosaa▫ee mihandaa itʰ▫ṛaa. The Lord of the Universe is my Sweet Beloved. ਅੰਮ ਅਬੇ ਥਾਵਹੁ ਮਿਠੜਾ ॥ Amm abé ṫʰaavhu mitʰ▫ṛaa. He is sweeter than my mother or father. ਭੈਣ ਭਾਈ ਸਭਿ ਸਜਣਾ ਤੁਧੁ ਜੇਹਾ ਨਾਹੀ ਕੋਇ ਜੀਉ ॥੧॥ Bʰæṇ bʰaa▫ee sabʰ sajṇaa ṫuḋʰ jéhaa naahee ko▫é jee▫o. ||1|| Among all sisters and brothers and friends, there is no one like You. ||1|| ਤੇਰੈ ਹੁਕਮੇ ਸਾਵਣੁ ਆਇਆ ॥ Ṫéræ hukmé saavaṇ aa▫i▫aa. By Your Command, the month of Saawan has come. ਮੈ ਸਤ ਕਾ ਹਲੁ ਜੋਆਇਆ ॥ Mæ saṫ kaa hal jo▫aa▫i▫aa. I have hooked up the plow of Truth, ਨਾਉ ਬੀਜਣ ਲਗਾ ਆਸ ਕਰਿ ਹਰਿ ਬੋਹਲ ਬਖਸ ਜਮਾਇ ਜੀਉ ॥੨॥ Naa▫o beejaṇ lagaa aas kar har bohal bakʰas jamaa▫é jee▫o. ||2|| and I plant the seed of the Name in hopes that the Lord, in His Generosity, will bestow a bountiful harvest. ||2|| ਹਉ ਗੁਰ ਮਿਲਿ ਇਕੁ ਪਛਾਣਦਾ ॥ Ha▫o gur mil ik pachʰaaṇḋaa. Meeting with the Guru, I recognize only the One Lord. ਦੁਯਾ ਕਾਗਲੁ ਚਿਤਿ ਨ ਜਾਣਦਾ ॥ Ḋuyaa kaagal chiṫ na jaaṇḋaa. In my consciousness, I do not know of any other account. ਹਰਿ ਇਕਤੈ ਕਾਰੈ ਲਾਇਓਨੁ ਜਿਉ ਭਾਵੈ ਤਿਂਵੈ ਨਿਬਾਹਿ ਜੀਉ ॥੩॥ Har ikṫæ kaaræ laa▫i▫on ji▫o bʰaavæ ṫiⁿvæ nibaahi jee▫o. ||3|| The Lord has assigned one task to me; as it pleases Him, I perform it. ||3|| ਤੁਸੀ ਭੋਗਿਹੁ ਭੁੰਚਹੁ ਭਾਈਹੋ ॥ Ṫusee bʰogihu bʰunchahu bʰaa▫eeho. Enjoy yourselves and eat, O Siblings of Destiny. ਗੁਰਿ ਦੀਬਾਣਿ ਕਵਾਇ ਪੈਨਾਈਓ ॥ Gur ḋeebaaṇ kavaa▫é pænaa▫ee▫o. In the Guru’s Court, He has blessed me with the Robe of Honor. ਹਉ ਹੋਆ ਮਾਹਰੁ ਪਿੰਡ ਦਾ ਬੰਨਿ ਆਦੇ ਪੰਜਿ ਸਰੀਕ ਜੀਉ ॥੪॥ Ha▫o ho▫aa maahar pind ḋaa bann aaḋé panj sareek jee▫o. ||4|| I have become the Master of my body-village; I have taken the five rivals as prisoners. ||4|| ਹਉ ਆਇਆ ਸਾਮੑੈ ਤਿਹੰਡੀਆ ॥ Ha▫o aa▫i▫aa saamæĥ ṫihandee▫aa. I have come to Your Sanctuary. ਪੰਜਿ ਕਿਰਸਾਣ ਮੁਜੇਰੇ ਮਿਹਡਿਆ ॥ Panj kirsaaṇ mujéré mihdi▫aa. The five farm-hands have become my tenants; ਕੰਨੁ ਕੋਈ ਕਢਿ ਨ ਹੰਘਈ ਨਾਨਕ ਵੁਠਾ ਘੁਘਿ ਗਿਰਾਉ ਜੀਉ ॥੫॥ Kann ko▫ee kadʰ na hangʰ▫ee Naanak vutʰaa gʰugʰ giraa▫o jee▫o. ||5|| none dare to raise their heads against me. O Nanak! My village is populous and prosperous. ||5|| ਹਉ ਵਾਰੀ ਘੁੰਮਾ ਜਾਵਦਾ ॥ Ha▫o vaaree gʰummaa jaavḋaa. I am a sacrifice, a sacrifice to You. ਇਕ ਸਾਹਾ ਤੁਧੁ ਧਿਆਇਦਾ ॥ Ik saahaa ṫuḋʰ ḋʰi▫aa▫iḋaa. I meditate on You continually. ਉਜੜੁ ਥੇਹੁ ਵਸਾਇਓ ਹਉ ਤੁਧ ਵਿਟਹੁ ਕੁਰਬਾਣੁ ਜੀਉ ॥੬॥ Ujaṛ ṫʰéhu vasaa▫i▫o ha▫o ṫuḋʰ vitahu kurbaaṇ jee▫o. ||6|| The village was in ruins, but You have re-populated it. I am a sacrifice to You. ||6|| ਹਰਿ ਇਠੈ ਨਿਤ ਧਿਆਇਦਾ ॥ Har itʰæ niṫ ḋʰi▫aa▫iḋaa. O Beloved Lord, I meditate on You continually; ਮਨਿ ਚਿੰਦੀ ਸੋ ਫਲੁ ਪਾਇਦਾ ॥ Man chinḋee so fal paa▫iḋaa. I obtain the fruits of my mind’s desires. ਸਭੇ ਕਾਜ ਸਵਾਰਿਅਨੁ ਲਾਹੀਅਨੁ ਮਨ ਕੀ ਭੁਖ ਜੀਉ ॥੭॥ Sabʰé kaaj savaari▫an laahee▫an man kee bʰukʰ jee▫o. ||7|| All my affairs are arranged, and the hunger of my mind is appeased. ||7|| ਮੈ ਛਡਿਆ ਸਭੋ ਧੰਧੜਾ ॥ Mæ chʰadi▫aa sabʰo ḋʰanḋʰ▫ṛaa. I have forsaken all my entanglements; ਗੋਸਾਈ ਸੇਵੀ ਸਚੜਾ ॥ Gosaa▫ee sévee sachṛaa. I serve the True Lord of the Universe. ਨਉ ਨਿਧਿ ਨਾਮੁ ਨਿਧਾਨੁ ਹਰਿ ਮੈ ਪਲੈ ਬਧਾ ਛਿਕਿ ਜੀਉ ॥੮॥ Na▫o niḋʰ naam niḋʰaan har mæ palæ baḋʰaa chʰik jee▫o. ||8|| I have firmly attached the Name, the Home of the Nine Treasures to my robe. ||8|| ਮੈ ਸੁਖੀ ਹੂੰ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਇਆ ॥ Mæ sukʰee hooⁿ sukʰ paa▫i▫aa. I have obtained the comfort of comforts. ਗੁਰਿ ਅੰਤਰਿ ਸਬਦੁ ਵਸਾਇਆ ॥ Gur anṫar sabaḋ vasaa▫i▫aa. The Guru has implanted the Word of the Shabad deep within me. ਸਤਿਗੁਰਿ ਪੁਰਖਿ ਵਿਖਾਲਿਆ ਮਸਤਕਿ ਧਰਿ ਕੈ ਹਥੁ ਜੀਉ ॥੯॥ Saṫgur purakʰ vikʰaali▫aa masṫak ḋʰar kæ haṫʰ jee▫o. ||9|| The True Guru has shown me my Husband Lord; He has placed His Hand upon my forehead. ||9|| ਮੈ ਬਧੀ ਸਚੁ ਧਰਮ ਸਾਲ ਹੈ ॥ Mæ baḋʰee sach ḋʰaram saal hæ. I have established the Temple of Truth. ਗੁਰਸਿਖਾ ਲਹਦਾ ਭਾਲਿ ਕੈ ॥ Gursikʰaa lahḋaa bʰaal kæ. I sought out the Guru’s Sikhs, and brought them into it. ਪੈਰ ਧੋਵਾ ਪਖਾ ਫੇਰਦਾ ਤਿਸੁ ਨਿਵਿ ਨਿਵਿ ਲਗਾ ਪਾਇ ਜੀਉ ॥੧੦॥ Pær ḋʰovaa pakʰaa férḋaa ṫis niv niv lagaa paa▫é jee▫o. ||10|| I wash their feet, and wave the fan over them. Bowing low, I fall at their feet. ||10|| |
